Članek obravnava vpliv rabe informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologij na migracijski proces. V tem smislu poudarja časovno-prostorsko neodvisno delovanje, ki ga te tehnologije omogočajo. Poleg tega, ...da tovrstno delovanje povzroča prehod od območne k omrežni organizaciji družbe, migrantom omogoča, da fizično oddaljene izvorne domovine emocionalno in družbeno nikoli ne zapustijo, kar se ne sklada z dosedanjim sociološkim portretom migranta. Na teh izhodiščih prispevek med drugim odpira vprašanje o ponovnem premisleku koncepta migranta, in sicer v pogojih omrežne družbe.
The ICT sector is one of the most important economic sectors in the world and the driving force behind the industry 4.0. On this basis, the paper highlights the significant ways in which industry 4.0 ...transforms requirements regarding essential competencies of contemporary European ICT sector`s workforce. Stemming from this the author argues that competencies of the workforce in the ICT sector are gradually shifting from strictly technical towards hybrid (i.e. combination of technical and soft). The latter is associated with the fact that industry 4.0 is not only based on technology and creativity of people applying technology, but in addition also on increasing intertwining of ICT sector with other socio-economic sectors, which results in changes of competencies of its workforce. In order to verify the thesis, the case study of Slovenian ICT companies(interviews with representatives) was implemented.
The article deals with the understanding of sociality in the context of ICT use during the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in Slovenia. Based on the relationship between ICT and sociality, we argue that physical ...proximity is no longer necessary to establish and maintain social dynamics in the modern social context. We find that most Slovenians supported the government’s measures to restrict gatherings and movements, and for the majority of the population these measures have had no negative impact on sociability. Further, the qualitative data obtained via observational netnography on Facebook show that various social dynamics took place in cyberspace. They are related to helping people overcome the hardships associated with restricting socialising in physical space, activities targeting specific social groups, and trans- ferring pre-existing activities from physical space to cyberspace.

The paper deals with underage "third-country" nationals or stateless persons without parents or a legal representative, referred to as unaccompanied minors (UAMs). In Slovenia UAMs may hold varied ...types of status, and each of these implies different legal provisions and practical determination of the best interest of the child. According to the UNHCR Convention on the Rights of the Child, the best interest of the child should be the primary consideration in all actions concerning children. This paper focuses on how the principle of the best interest of the child is included in the sectoral national legislation and in other formal regulations which determine procedures regarding and treatment of UAMs. In addition, the article examines how experts understand this principle and put it into practice in various formal procedures. To that end, the views of experts who adopt or implement legal provisions, as well as the views of the experts who support UAMs during the international protection application process and in their everyday lives will be examined.
