The main purpose of this article is to create model of business tourism destination competitiveness and test it on the example of Vojvodina Province, tourist cluster in Serbia, where business tourism ...is defined as one of key tourist products. The paper aims to examine in which areas Vojvodina Province is more competitive as a business tourism destination and where it is less competitive compared to"competitive set" of three chosen destinations. Also, this paper aims to test relationships between destination competitiveness determinants in order to determine the weakest point of Vojvodina Province business tourism competitiveness, and specifically the position of destination management. The study results indicate that two determinants: destination management and destination policy, planning and development are the weakest points of Vojvodina Province competitiveness, while highest ratings are assigned to core resources and attractors determinant. The results will be most valuable in assisting destination management organizations, tourism policy creators and tourism practitioners to better understand identified destination advantages and problems in business tourism and general tourism development in Vojvodina Province, and to formulate strategies to effectively manage destination disadvantages.
Ovim radom su analizirana međunarodna turistička krstarenja Pan-europskim Koridorom VII, odnosno njihov utjecaj (potencijalne dobrobiti) na ekonomiju receptivnih prostora. Studijom slučaja ...(Vojvodina) dati su primjeri koji to ilustriraju.
Rezultati analize pokazuju da kruzevi Koridorom VII utječu pozitivno na Vojvodinu, prvenstveno na priobalnu, podunavsku regiju i to u Novom Sadu (gdje brodovi pristaju). Iako se beneficije ne odnose na korištenje usluga smještaja i hrane na kopnu, dobrobit se ogleda u sljedećim segmentima: turistička promocija (širenje pozitivnog plasmana Vojvodine kao receptivnog prostora na inozemnom tržištu – predstavljanje kulturne baštine i prirodnih vrijednosti); porast inozemnog turističkog prometa, a samim tim i potrošnje posjetilaca; otvaranje novih radnih mjesta (adekvatna infrastruktura i suprastruktura – serviseri različitih usluga brodovima, posadi i putnicima) – pristaništa, špediteri, suvenir tržnice i dr. / novi proizvodi, širenje poslovne mreže, promjena valute, nevidljivi izvoz itd.
Rezultati istraživanja mogu pomoći daljim proučavanjima uzročno-posljedičnih veza između ovakvog vida putovanja i resursa receptivnih zemalja na kojima se ova putovanja događaju, a sve u cilju adekvatnog osmišljavanja i plasmana turističke ponude, odnosno optimalnog razvoja receptivnih zemalja kroz održivi turizam. Rad pruža i informacije različitim partnerima („stakeholders“) uključenim u turističko privređivanje kruzeva, koji očekuju privatnu i društvenu dobit od svojih ulaganja.

The main purpose of this paper is to determine relationship between sociodemographic characteristics of tourists and media choice in obtaining information on tourism destination. The data on media choices was collected as a part of a research on tourists' interests for consumption of organic food, which was conducted from August through September 2008. Data was processed using chi-square test.
Ecologically produced food has a rising trend of demand in the markets of the touristically developed countries, among which is also Croatia. The aim of this study is to determine the possibilities ...and characteristics of the availability of ecological agricultural produce (using the example of vegetables) on the tourist market, provided that the production of these provisions is economically and financially viable. The research results show that 70% of the surveyed tourists want to consume ecologically produced food and are prepared to pay a higher price for it. The ecological production will be cost effective for farms provided the market prices of such products are higher by 10-50% more than the price of conventional agricultural products. These facts should be an incentive for an increase in the production of ecological products and to the proliferation of the tourist offer directly at farms, as well as by hoteliers, tourist agencies, retailers and provision distributors.
Tourist activity aligns among the most dynamic and most propulsive economic branches, with multiple effects. It implies tourism's strong movable function in wide spectrum of activities. Among more ...significant characteristics of modern tourist demand, important for tourism development in rural areas, definitely inserts an observation that the demand enlarges towards non-urban rural and protected natural regions, mountains, spas and villages with more significant healthy-recreational and cultural-historical values. Parallel with that increase requirements for ecological quality and healthy-recreational function of receptive spaces, which must be appropriate for moving, recreation and possibility for applying chosen activities. Therefore, sustainable tourism should make optimal utilization of surrounding natural resources, sustaining important ecological processes and supporting preservation of heritage and biodiversity, while socio-cultural authentication of specific community/household protects their cultural inheritance and traditional values and contributes to understanding and tolerance of other cultures.
This paper provides some tentative estimates of the economic impact of cruise tourism in receptive countries and regions along the Pan-European Corridor VII. Examples are provided to illustrate the ...potential benefit to Vojvodina Region (Case study).
The results of the analysis have shown that the Corridor VII cruises have positive impact on Vojvodina Province, primarily the riparian area of the Danube (only Novi Sad - the "Port of Vojvodina for cruisers"). Although the benefits exclude accommodation and food expenditure, they are noticeable within the following segments: tourism promotion (broadening the scopes of Vojvodina Province as a receptive area for the foreign market through its cultural heritage and natural values); increase in foreign tourist turnover, visitor's expenditures; new job opportunities (adequate infrastructure and superstructure - rendering services to ships, crew and passengers) - harbors, carriers, souvenir shops, etc. / new products, business net, exchange money, invisible export, etc.
The results of the research may initiate further studies on the cause and effect connections between this type of travelling and resources of receptive countries, upon which the travels are based, both aiming at adequate design and launching of the tourist offer, i.e. the optimal development of receptive countries through sustainable tourism. Also, the discussion provides potentially useful information to the different stakeholders in the evolving cruise tourism industry, particularly regarding expected (private or social) returns on investment.
Temeljno pitanje daljnjeg razvoja našeg turizma je kako, na koji način, sa kojim sredstvima i u kojim rokovima restrukturirati masovnu turističku ponudu i učiniti je prilagodljivom tržišnim ...trendovima i zahtjevima. U razvijenim zemljama svijeta transformacija masovnog turizma u razne selektivne oblike i vrste turizma veoma se uspješno provodi. Razvojem agroturizma kao jednim od selektivnih oblika turističke ponude Istre, o kome se u ovom referatu govori, mogu se znatno ublažiti dosadašnje neusklađenosti turističke ponude i izmijeniti struktura ukupne ponude. Autor u radu na bazi provedenih istraživanja konstatira da osnovni preduvjeti za razvoj agroturizma u Istri postoje, te predlaže njegov koncept razvoja, potrebna financijska sredstva, načine financiranja, stimulativne i druge mjere, potrebnu zakonsku regulativu, organizaciju marketing aktivnosti, efekte razvoja i sl.
The basic question for further development of our tourism is a how, what with and when to restructure the mass tourist supply and make it flexible to market trends and demands. In the developed ...countries, the transformation of mass tourism to various selective forms and kinds of tourism is under way and very successful. The development of agritourism, which this paper is about, could significantly alleviate the past discrepancies in tourist supply and change the structure of the whole supply. On basic of the research done, the authors claim that some basic conditions for the development of agritourism in Istria have been fulfilled. So ther suggests its concept of development, financial funds needed, ways of financing, stimulative and other measures, legal regulations needed, organization of marketing activities, effects of the development etc.
U radu se prikazuju prostorne i tehničko-tehnološke mogućnosti i infrastrukturna ograničenja u razvoju luka nautičkog turizma u Hrvatskoj.
Nautički turizam vrlo je mlada gospodarska djelatnost s ...obilježjima klasičnoga turizma i pomorstva, što je uz mnoge druge karakteristike čini posebnom. Jedna od bitnijih je da pripada elitnom turizmu, što je s kapitalnog aspekta i aspekta zaštite okoliša vrlo važno. Izuzetni ekonomski učinci i visoka profitabilnost nautičkog turizma, te brojni multiplikativni efekti, govore u prilog sve većemu zanimanju za tu pomorsku djelatnost. Pojačani interes za ulaganja u nautički turizam i izgradnju luka proizlaze iz njegove visoke stope rentabilnosti kao rezultata pozitivnoga utjecaja brojnih funkcija koje se u toj djelatnosti mnogostruko generiraju.
Istražuje se dosegnuti stupanj izgrađenih kapaciteta u lukama nautičkog turizma i upozorava se na njihovu nedostatnost, osobito na otocima, gdje je taj broj još manji. Posebno se istražuju mogućnosti implementacije pontonskih privezišta u funkciji razvoja nautičkih luka na otocima. Otoci obiluju brojnim prirodno zaštićenim uvalama i mjesnim lučicama koje su ostale sustavno neobrađene tijekom dosadašnjega razvoja nautičkog turizma. Poradi toga prijeko je potrebno promišljati o budućnosti nautičkog turizma na Jadranu, posebice na otocima, zbog utjecaja na njihov cjelokupni gospodarski razvoj.
Brodarsko poduzeće ili brodar je podsustav pomorskoga brodarstva kao gospodarske djelatnosti. To je ekonomski sustav čija je osnovna aktivnost obavljanje komercijalnih operacija pomoću trgovačkih ...brodova, točnije rečeno pružanje brodarskih usluga. Organizacija ili struktura brodarskih poduzeća može imati različite oblike i obilježja, ovisno o vrsti ili tipu brodarstva, te veličini i raznovrsnosti njegova • poslovanja. Upravljanje brodarskom organizacijom nužno zahtijeva koordinaciju i sinkronizaciju marketinške ili tržišne, operacijske, kadrovske i financijske funkcije. To znači da suvremeni strateški menadžment brodarskih poduzeća mora biti temeljen na sustavnom principu rješavanja problema.
