Electrospun poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT: PSS) nanofibers were deposited onto flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates to obtain electrodes for flexible and all solid-state supercapacitors (SCs). The solution used for electrospinning contained a conducting polymer (PEDOT:PSS), an insulating polymer (polyethylene oxide or PEO), a solvent (dimethylformamide) and a surfactant (Triton-X).
The nanofibers improved considerably their conductivity when they were immersed in ethylene glycol (EG), producing a removal of the excedent of PEO around the nanofibers, which causes that the PEDOT:PSS nanofibers became more conductive, then improving their electrochemical performance. The removal of PEO was observed by scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM) and corroborated by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The PEDOT:PSS electrodes were used in supercapacitors, with poly (vinyl alcohol)/phosphoric acid (PVA/H3PO4) gel polyelectrolyte, forming an all solid-state SC. The SCs reach an areal capacitance of 1.8 m F/cm2 and a gravimetric capacitance of 3.6 F/g at a discharging current of 5μA/cm2 by galvanostatic charge discharge technique (GCD). The capacitances of the SCs were also calculated by cyclic voltammetry showing very similar results than GCD. These results using PEDOT:PSS nanofibers as electrodes showed better performance in comparison with doped PEDOT:PSS films with the same gel polyelectrolyte. The devices showed very good stability since they were charged and discharged at 20 μA /cm2 by 1000 cycles maintaining ∼92 % of the initial capacitance. These results open the possibility of fabricating wearable and 3-D interconnected electrodes for energy-storage devices that could be implemented on clothes and on any non-flat surface.

Dendritic cells are antigen-presenting cells, which identify and process pathogens to subsequently activate specific T lymphocytes. To regulate the immune responses, DCs have to mature by the ...recognition of TLR ligands, TNFα or IFNγ. These ligands have been used as adjuvants to activate DCs in situ or in vitro, with toxic effects. It has been shown that some molecules affect the immune system, e.g., Masticadienonic acid (MDA) and 3α-hydroxy masticadienoic acid (3α-OH MDA) triterpenes naturally occurring in several medicinal plants, since they activate the nitric oxide synthase in macrophages and induce T lymphocyte proliferation. The DCs maturation induced by MDA or 3a-OH MDA was determined by incubating these cells with MDA or 3α-OH MDA, and their phenotype was afterwards analyzed. The results showed that only 3α-OH MDA was able to induce DCs maturation. When mice with melanoma were inoculated with DCs/3α-OH MDA, a decreased tumor growth rate was observed along with an extended cell death area within tumors compared to mice treated with DCs incubated with MDA. In conclusion, it is proposed that 3α-OH MDA may be an immunostimulant molecule. Conversely, it is proposed that MDA may be a molecule with anti-inflammatory properties.

El estudio de la traducción de letras en obras musicales no ha suscitado hasta ahora suficiente interés por parte ni de musicólogos ni de traductólogos. Este artículo analiza los retos que plantea ...este tipo de traducción y las estrategias traductoras que moviliza, elementos claves para superar con éxito este tipo de encargo profesional. En una primera parte, recorremos las distintas posiciones teóricas que han mantenido los expertos del ámbito de la traducción de la canción a lo largo de la historia, así como las distintas modalidades de traducción musical que existen. Además, se analizan las características y dificultades que presenta la traducción cuando está subordinada al componente musical. En una segunda parte, la obra musical The Stranger Song de Leonard Cohen, versionada en español como Canción del Extranjero por Nacho Vegas, constituye nuestro objeto de estudio y es utilizada para ejemplificar la metodología propuesta. Se realiza un análisis práctico de la canción tanto desde una perspectiva traductora como musicológica, con especial énfasis en las estrategias musicales, métricas y de traducción utilizadas por el traductor. Por último, se presenta una metodología de enseñanza de la traducción que facilita el análisis de la traducción musical en el aula.
Abstract
Frame Semantics provides a powerful cross-lingual model to describe the conceptual structure underlying specialized language. Building specialized frames is challenging because of the ...complex nature of predicate-argument structures, and because of the domain-specific uses of general-language predicates. Our semi-automatic method elicits semantic frames from specialized corpora. It aims to discover lexical patterns that reveal the structure of specialized frames and to populate them with corpus-based data. Firstly, we automatically extracted verb-noun triples from corpora using bootstrapping to identify noun-verb-noun phraseological patterns. Secondly, we annotated each noun-verb-noun triple with the lexical domain of the verbs and the semantic class and role of the noun filling each argument slot. We then used these annotations and patterns to classify similar triples. Thus, the structure and the types of lexical units that belong to each specialized frames were inferred. Specialized corpora analysis of environmental science texts in English and in Spanish illustrate our methodology.

We semantically tagged our corpus using ATLAS.ti, a textual analysis software. Our findings indicate that the headlines analyzed provide only one single perspective of this social movement, and that certain information seems to have been omitted, maybe intentionally.

La structuration onomasiologique du lexique reste un défi à relever en lexicographie française. Il serait en effet extrêmement bénéfique pour les usagers de développer de nouveaux outils qui ...proposent une représentation de l’organisation des unités lexicales tenant compte des liens sémantiques qui existent entre eux. Nous explorons ici la propriété de troponymie, qui détermine les liens d’inclusion sémantique verbale entre les verbes. Elle s’avère être un outil efficace pour parvenir à une structuration hiérarchique du lexique verbal. Le cas des verbes d’ingestion nous permettra d’illustrer comment cette propriété peut être mise au profit du lexicographe.The onomasiological structure of the lexicom is still a challenge to be faced in French lexicography. Indeed, the development of new dictionaries representing lexical units in terms of their semantic links to other lexical units would be extremely helpful for users. In this article, we explore the property of troponomy which determines the semantic inclusion relations of verbs. In fact, it has proven to be a very effective tool when determining the hierarchical structure of the verbal lexicon. The case study of verbs of eating, described in this article, illustrates how this property can be used in lexicography to represent verbal lexemes.

However, these words can also be problematic for the novice translator, who tends to use the translation correspondences in bilingual dictionaries without realizing that formal equivalence is not necessarily the same as textual equivalence. However, semantic values, acquired in context, go far beyond dictionary meaning and are related to phenomena such as semantic prosody and preferences of lexical selection that can vary, depending on text type and specialized domain.This research explored the reasons why certain adverbial discourse connectors, apparently easy to translate, are a source of translation problems that cannot be easily resolved with a bilingual dictionary. Moreover, this study analyzed the use of parallel corpora in the translation classroom and how it can increase the quality of text production. For this purpose, we compared student translations before and after receiving training on the use of corpus analysis tools
Resumen La investigación en terminología se ha centrado tradicionalmente en los sustantivos. Se ha prestado menos atención a otras categorías gramaticales, como por ejemplo los adverbios, por ...considerar que no representan mayor dificultad en traducción. Sin embargo, estas palabras suponen también un escollo para el traductor novel, que se suele fiar en exceso de la traducción propuesta por el diccionario bilingüe, ignorando que entre palabras equivalentes desde el punto de vista formal se dan variaciones interlingüísticas desde el punto de vista discursivo. Estos valores semánticos, adquiridos solo en contexto, van más allá del significado nuclear que aparece en los diccionarios bilingües y están relacionados, entre otros, con fenómenos de prosodia semántica y preferencias de selección léxica, que además varían según el género textual y el ámbito de especialidad. Esta investigación explora las razones por las que ciertos conectores discursivos adverbiales, de traducción fácil en apariencia, plantean a veces problemas de traducción que no pueden resolverse con el diccionario bilingüe. Por otro lado, se analiza el efecto que tiene el uso de corpus paralelos en el aula de traducción especializada sobre el aumento de calidad de la producción textual. Para ello, comparamos las traducciones realizadas por los estudiantes antes y después de una formación sobre el uso de herramientas de análisis de corpus.
