In Italian schools, we often attend meetings of artists with the teacher, especially because in kindergarten and primary schools, the tendency is to assign to a "specialist" the curricular and ...extra-curricular activities of visual expression, theatre, music, drama and choreography: those activities are considered to be too specific to be taught by a teacher considered a "generalist". This work offers a reflection on the role and identity of the artist-teacher in Italy today, to identify the critical urgencies, the relationship with institutions, limits and potential. Today, all these issues go beyond a single disciplinary field to address a broader concept of culture and, inevitably, of the human being. Mouving from a reflection on the need to develop more carefully the creative experiences in the formal contexts of our country, this contribution aims to offer a first approach to the roles and identities of the artist-teacher in Italy today, to identify the critical urgency, the relationship with institutions, limits and potential. Keywords. Arts Education - Artistry - Creativity - Artistic Citizenship - School Imagination is more important than knowledge generally. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand. Albert Einstein

Trust is a crucial element of education that can be understood as an important precondition of the grow. Furthermore, contextual conditions are important for the development of trust. In spite of ...this, the role of trust in education system has been scarcely investigated. Research on trust in education is based on varying notions of the term and focuses on different facets and levels of analysis. This includes, first, a distinction between particularised and generalised trust and, secondly, between interpersonal, interorganisational and institutional trust (Faggioli 2018; Lancini, 2020, Muraglia, 2009). This paper introduces a reflection on issues relating to the feeling of trust established in educational contexts, offering possible interconnections with affective, emotional, and interpersonal relationship aspects.

This article deals with the importance of music-making within both instrumental and vocal ensembles in South Tyrol based on the results of two different research projects: ‘Cultura musicale e ...funzione sociale della musica in Alto Adige’ (‘Music culture and the social function of music in South Tyrol’), by Paolo Somigli and Ilaria Riccioni, and ‘Going to the Source’, carried out by Antonella Coppi. Through a reflection on the two research projects, this article aims to provide an image of the role of music in the South Tyrolean community; although the two research projects were carried out between 2011 and 2019 overall, they are still relevant, as they represent ground-breaking research in this region. The two research projects complement each other in a reciprocal contextualization of issues about the role of non-formal musical ensembles in developing the social and cultural fabric in South Tyrol. The different perspectives and objects of the two studies offer a broader view of music-making, not only from a musicological but also from a sociological and pedagogical perspective.

This article provides an introduction to, and a critical discussion of, the educational model referred to as El Sistema, founded by José Antonio Abreu. In the course of over 40 years, starting from ...Venezuela, Abreu’s system has inspired educational programs for social change all over the world. The program, which thanks to the work of its founder has become an element of national interest, is currently managed by the Ministry for Family, Sport and Health, and has spread globally. After a short historical overview, the article discusses the primary aspects of the educational approach that forms the basis of the Venezuelan model, which today is also part of the Italian educational experience. The discussion is complemented by a preliminary examination, the first in our country, of the peculiar features of inclusive didactics in the main special education program connected to El Sistema, called Coro de Manos Blancas.
