During all the years of independence, Ukraine has been taking certain steps towards the introduction and formation of modern trends in education at the official level. The article is aimed at ...analyzing non-formal education in Ukraine from two perspectives: as workplace training, when formal education is supplemented by non-formal education due to partnerships between universities and companies; and as training in the process of work, when employers recognize the need to invest in human resources and explore novel ways to provide training opportunities for their employees. The relationship between non-formal education and productivity is also emphasized and, according to the conclusions made, proposals for Ukrainian companies have been formed. Education, both formal and non-formal, has a significant and direct impact on the formation of human capital, on which the growth and development of the State largely depends. Formal education is obtained mainly through the system of education at primary, secondary and higher levels, and non-formal education has a direct connection with professional experience in the workplace. Both options of education are considered long-term investments, because educational activities are indirectly related to the degree of preferences in terms of the passage of time and are directly connected to the efficiency of the functioning of the learning system. Non-formal education contributes to the formation of the individual and has a great influence on the level of its productivity. People often face a choice: what is more rational to spend time on – work or education? However, there is an alternative that reduces the need for replacement through the time factor and facilitates the accumulation of knowledge through productive activities. And this is non-formal education. The implementation of non-formal education for employees in Ukrainian companies can be a big and powerful step in their development and increase of competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets.
The article is aimed at adapting the world experience in terms of supporting the tourism industry in the context of the pandemic and developing a methodology for economic-organizational provision for ...the development of the tourism sector of Ukraine. The analysis of world experience indicates such priority spheres of policy to support the tourism sector as protection of tourism industry workers, fiscal support and provision for liquidity of tourist facilities. At the same time, the instruments for the economic-organizational development of the tourism sector include the balance of interests of every tourist in particular and tourism sector in general, the support of small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector, the formation of mechanisms for the renovation of tourism sector. The dominant tendency in the tourism industry remains the digitization of tourist services and the transfer of a significant part of advertising activities to the global network Internet. The emphases on ensuring sustainable development related to environmental protection and climate are shifting. The measures related to the promotion of new tourist services in the context of the formation of a holistic image of countries or regions, provision for high-quality jobs in the tourism sector as counteraction to high turnover of workers and the problem of seasonality of services appear to become relevant. An analysis of the situation in the tourism sector indicates the actualization of the transition to local and regional values. Taking into account the fact that in Ukraine the tourism sector is represented mainly by small and medium-sized enterprises, a number of measures are proposed to support such enterprises, including the scheme of the State-issued tourist vouchers; the State-based financial support of enterprises; improvement of regulations governing the tourism business; optimization of quarantine security measures and the creation of a special online platform for supporting tourism sector enterprises. The focus is on developing systemic solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in the tourism sector, taking into account their critical role in solving employment problems and development of innovations.
The aim of the article is the formation of a set of priorities of economic development as key factors of success of Ukraine’s regions and their further analysis. Based on the analysis of the ...relationship between the concept of economic development of regions and the level of their key success factors, it is established that the factors of economic development of regions provide the basis of the pyramid of key success factors and determine the competitive position of a region on a national or global scale.On the other hand, economic development of a region is ensured by a constant strengthening of the competitive position and increasing the competitive advantages of the existing industries and by creating new, highly efficient segments of the economy. In addition to regional key success factors, synthetic indicators, which allow assessing the competitive position of a region regardless of its level of development, are important.Therefore, for a spatial study of key success factors, a methodological approach to assessing the actual and potential levels of key success factors for a region as well as assessing the differentiation of regions by their level is proposed. A model of key success factors for regions of Ukraine in the long term is built. The implementation of the model implies classifying regions according to the criterion of using the existing and potential competitive advantages and, finally, assessing the level of economic development of a region.This describes the interdependence of the studied concepts: factors of economic development of the regions – competitiveness of the regions – economic development of the regions. A set of priorities of economic development of Ukraine’s regions are formed. Moreover, all of them – both traditional and modern – represent the regions in terms of rather innovative development than that of production or investment.The set contains the innovative, social and environmental components of economic development, which are characteristic of the approach of the new economy, and not production and technological ones, inherent in the production and investment approaches, respectively.
We establish the Bernstein and Jackson type inequalities with exact constants for estimations of best approximations by exponential type functions in Orlicz spaces $L_M(\mathbb{R}^n)$. For this ...purpose, we use a special scale of approximation spaces $\mathcal{B}_\tau^s(M)$ that are interpolation spaces between the subspace $\mathscr{E}_M$ of exponential type functions and the space $L_M(\mathbb{R}^n)$. These approximation spaces are defined using a functional $E\left(t,f\right)$ that plays a similar role as the module of smoothness. The constants in obtained inequalities are expressed using a normalization factor $N_{\vartheta,q}$ that is determined by the parameters $\tau$ and $s$ of the approximation space $\mathcal{B}_\tau^s(M)$.
The article is dedicated to studying regional aspects of knowledge economy assessment. The aim of the article is to form a ranking of Ukraine's region in terms of the level of development of the ...knowledge-based economy using the taxonomy method and determine the spatial links between the territorial units in the local and global contexts. According to the aim set in the article, a comparative analysis of the knowledge economy index in Ukraine, European countries, and Central Asia is conducted; the indicator of the taxonomic development of the knowledge economy in regions of Ukraine is determined; the regions are grouped according to the value of the knowledge economy index and the knowledge index in the period 2012-2015, and their dynamics is analyzed; a ranking of Ukraine's regions in terms of the development level of the knowledge economy is formed.
The aim of the article is carrying out spatial and structural analysis of efficiency of agricultural production in regions of Ukraine. A technique for analyzing the use of resources on the basis of ...elasticity coefficients is proposed. To improve the efficiency of agricultural production it is important to know what kind of resources -- material, labor, environmental or organizational and technical -- is used less efficiently in order to ascertain the reasons for the further decrease in the production efficiency in general. To compare the performance of individual components of efficiency, it is proposed to use not usual parameters of the regression equation obtained for absolute values of the indicators, but the elasticity coefficients, which relate the change of factors-indicators and the performance indicator as a percentage of their average values. Thus the sensitivity of the performance indicator to indicators-factors is estimated. Taking into account the features of building the model of efficiency components, their made an assumption that the function of dependence of overall efficiency of agricultural production from its components is a linear one. The analysis of elasticity coefficients of the overall efficiency by its components showed a low level of their influence on the overall efficiency of agricultural production in regions. To understand this situation, the influence of the indicators on each component of efficiency is studied. With this purpose a complex of models of efficiency components is built for each region of Ukraine. The conducted through the use of elastic coefficients spatial and structural analysis of efficiency showed that each region has its own peculiarities in the development of agriculture, and, consequently, its determinants of influence on its efficiency.
Trans-esterification of four vegetable oils; canola oil, greenseed canola oil from heat-damaged seeds, processed waste fryer grease and unprocessed waste fryer grease, was carried out using methanol, ...and KOH as catalyst. The methyl esters of the corresponding oils were separated from the crude glycerol, purified, and characterized by various methods to evaluate their densities, viscosities, iodine values, acid numbers, cloud points, pour points and gross heat of combustion, fatty acid and lipid compositions, lubricity properties, and thermal properties. The fatty acid composition suggests that 80–85% of the ester was from unsaturated acids. Substantial decrease in density and viscosity of the methyl esters compared to their corresponding oils suggested that the oils were in their mono or di glyceride form. The lubricity of the methyl esters, when blended at 1 vol% treat rate with ISOPAR
® M reference fuel, showed that the canola methyl ester enhanced the fuel’s lubricity number. From the analyses performed, it was determined that the ester with the most potential for being an additive or a substitute for diesel fuel is the canola methyl ester, whose physical and chemical characteristics are similar to diesel fuel.

A model of money income diffusion is constructed taking into account the processes of social comparison and the development of the income formation spatial structure. To implement such model, the ...analytical theory of continued fractions is used and the corresponding differential equation solution is found in the form of a formal functional continued fraction. The values of the approach fractions of a continuous fraction describing the dynamics of changes in the level of money income give an approximation of the real values with almost predetermined, arbitrarily high accuracy. This allowed us to qualitatively describe the general dynamics of the money income diffusion process.
