Agriculture and farmers are sectors and parties affected by climate change. Unfortunately, farmers' knowledge and adaptive capacity are still low due to the limited climate change information that ...they receive. The development of communication models to strengthen the interaction and flow of information has been very active. However, it has not yet addressed the lack of empowerment and scarcity of farmer participation. Therefore, we need a dialogical, horizontal, participatory communication model with an emphasis on empowerment and farmer participation. This research, using a participatory communication model, aims to see how participatory communication can encourage the empowerment and adaptability of farmers to climate change. This study uses a participatory action research approach with participatory data collection techniques for the Rural Communications Assessment (PRCA). The theory used is participatory communication and social change, which allows farmers and researchers to be equally involved and dialogue to occur. This research demonstrates the fact that participatory communication through a dialogue process can promote common goals and action in dealing with climate change. In addition, this research was also able to increase farmer empowerment, which was marked by changes at the individual farmer and social levels. These changes take the form of strengthening farmers' knowledge, perceptions, and skills related to climate change and adaptation actions and increasing farmer participation in village development planning. Farmers have been able to push the issue of strengthening farmer resilience to become part of the village development plan.
The existence of groups in society as social capital can grow and develop. Forimber (Forum Darim Bersatu), a community group located in Darim Village, Indramayu Regency. This study aims to analyze ...the role of Forimber group communication in existing empowerment. Research using descriptive qualitative through case study method. The results showed that group communication in Forimber had a better impact on the development of Kampung Darim, through empowerment activities. Communication within the group also helps to create public relations and harmonious information management. Role of communication doesn't only occur among community members but also by building partnerships with various parties to support community empowerment. It isn't limited to empowering individuals in the community, but the Darim village itself. Community participation in Forimber empowerment hasn't been evenly distributed. Group communication in empowerment influences people's communication behavior, as a social means to generate shared energy and provide convenience in building social relations, and problem-solving. The role of communication needs to be increased to encourage equal participation in society, especially among women. The contribution of this study shows that through group communication with the similarity of symbol meanings, the Forimber fantasy theme also raises collective identity within the group to trigger collective action.
Dinamika kelompok lembaga masyarakat desa hutan konservasi menjadi salah satu upaya untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan melalui program kemitraan konservasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk ...menganalisis dinamika kelompok, karakteristik individu, pendamping program kemitraan konservasi dan kohesivitas kelompok di Taman Nasional Meru Betiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner kepada 30 orang responden di empat blok pengelolaan pada bulan April-Juni 2022. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode cluster sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS 23. Komunikasi dalam kelompok LMDHK diharapkan memiliki kesamaan makna dan tujuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok LMDHK cukup dinamis dalam penerapan kemitraan konservasi. Karakteristik individu meliputi umur, intensitas kehadiran dan kepemilikan media memiliki hubungan nyata dengan penerapan kemitraan konservasi, sementara pendamping kemitraan dan dinamika kelompok tidak berhubungan nyata dengan penerapan kemitraan konservasi. Kepemilikan media komunikasi anggota kelompok dapat memudahkan penerimaan pesan. Pendamping kemitraan konservasi kurang mengoptimalkan penggunaan media komunikasi dalam menyampaikan informasi program kemitraan konservasi kepada kelompok.
Communication of innovation in agriculture is a way for farmers not only to seek information about agriculture in an innovative way but also how to explore and share information with fellow farmers ...in an innovative way to increase their agricultural productivity. During the pandemic, due to restrictions on gatherings, counseling is carried out in an innovative way, namely digital. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of extension workers and supporting facilities for digital agriculture and extension, to determine the factors that influence the level of empowerment of farmers in the city of Bogor. This study uses quantitative research methods which are strengthened by qualitative data. The location of the research was determined deliberately in the city of Bogor, which has good urban agriculture. The results show that extension workers are ready to face digital counseling and the communication support facilities for digital innovation in the city of Bogor are good for digital counseling. the level of empowerment of farmers directly affects the productivity of farmers and indirectly positively influenced by; environmental support, farmer innovation activities, and individual characteristics of farmers.
Objetivo: Esta pesquisa visa investigar as estratégias utilizadas pelas organizações de mídia para melhorar a competência dos jornalistas na era digital e melhorar a qualidade da entrega de notícias ...e do desenvolvimento de conteúdo. Método: Esta pesquisa utiliza métodos mistos com uma abordagem de explicação de estratégia sequencial. A população da pesquisa é composta por jornalistas de televisão com segmentação de notícias. A amostra da pesquisa foi composta por 60 jornalistas representantes da mídia televisiva nacional. A análise quantitativa dos dados é utilizada nesta pesquisa por meio de um modelo de regressão com SPSS (Statistic Package for the Social Sciences). Resultados e conclusão: Os resultados da investigação mostram que (1) o apoio organizacional dos meios de comunicação dependentes acaba por proporcionar prémios profissionais necessários aos jornalistas como forma de valorização; (2) a função de controlar notícias e mediar problemas entre jornalistas e partes interessadas também recebe grande atenção da equipe de mídia. Os jornalistas precisam de mais organizações de comunicação social independentes para manter a segurança e apoiar a implementação da profissão jornalística; (2) profissionalmente, os jornalistas pesquisam sempre antes de reportar, enquanto a competência comunicativa dos jornalistas ainda é fraca na articulação e transmissão de informação. Competências específicas para a indústria da comunicação social, considera-se que os jornalistas dominam a sua profissão, especialmente na apresentação de notícias e na redação de artigos científicos na área da educação, e os jornalistas são adeptos da escrita sobre história com competências de orientação social; (3) No que diz respeito à qualidade das mensagens de desenvolvimento, os jornalistas prestam sempre atenção à adequação do tipo de informação que os jornalistas transmitem informação sobre política de desenvolvimento para manter a qualidade das mensagens de desenvolvimento para que permaneçam significativas. as notícias são mais significativas e factuais; (3) diversidade noticiosa é a preocupação em apresentar notícias em manter a qualidade da notícia, explicar a cronologia, atentar para a relevância da veracidade da informação, notícias escritas em linguagem de fácil compreensão, de acordo com os fatos, em favor do interesse público.

Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di Kota Bogor berperan penting dalam praktik pertanian perkotaan. Akan tetapi, jumlah KWT mengalami penurunan dan salah satu penyebabnya adalah peran dari Ketua KWT. Selain ...telah berdiri cukup lama di Kota Bogor dan tetap eksis hingga kini, KWT Puspasari juga pernah menorehkan prestasi yang mengharumkan Kota Bogor di tingkat provinsi. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus ini mengungkap gaya komunikasi dan gaya kepemimpinan ketua KWT Puspasari. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan diskusi kelompok menunjukkan bahwa Ketua KWT Puspasari menerapkan gaya komunikasi yang action-oriented, process-oriented, people-oriented, dan ideas-oriented. Selain itu, Ketua KWT Puspasari memperlihatkan berbagai gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan yang khas yaitu: 1) menyesuaikan diri dengan keadaan anggota/kelompok, 2) menunjukkan kerelaan berkorban, 3) memperlihatkan kemauan keras, 4) memberikan keteladanan, 5) menunjukkan rasa bangga terhadap anggota, 6) berorientasi pada kebersamaan, 7) menghendaki anggota agar aktif dan kreatif, 8) mendorong inisiatif/inovasi/kreativitas, 9) memperlihatkan sosok serba bisa, dan 10) memanfaatkan peluang. Sepuluh gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan ini memperlihatkan adanya inspirasi, motivasi, atau keteladanan dari Ketua KWT sehingga para anggota mengikuti kepemimpinannya.
Urban farming is essential as an effort to overcome land limitations and weak productivity in the food supply. Urban farming from a communication perspective is an empowerment effort that directly ...involves the community in its implementation. This study aims to analyze the participatory communication of women farmers and analyze factors that affect the application. This study was conducted in Bogor City and Bogor Regency. This study is explanatory survey research with a quantitative approach and supported by qualitative data. The data obtained is by cluster sampling with urban, semi-urban, and rural clusters on 231 respondents. Data were analyzed using the score, Difference Test, and Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results show that the participatory communication level in the urban farming program is medium, referring to the dialogue atmosphere, dialogue participation, and convergence level. The factors that significantly influence participatory communication are characteristics, champion competence, the exposure of media communication, and institutional support.Keywords: Communication, dialogue, participation, urban farming ABSTRAKUrban farming penting sebagai upaya mengatasi keterbatasan lahan dan lemahnya produktivitas dalam penyediaan pangan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis komunikasi partisipatif wanita tani dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap komunikasi partisipatif dalam pelaksanaan program urban farming. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Bogor dan Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini bersifat survey explanatory research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan didukung data kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel secara cluster sampling dengan klaster kelurahan yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan urban, semi urban dan rural terhadap 231 orang wanita tani. Analisa data dilakukan dengan metode skor, uji beda serta analisis structural model (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi partisipatif wanita tani dalam program urban farming berada pada kriteria sedang yang dilihat dari suasana dialog, partisipasi dialog dan tingkat konvergensi. Faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komunikasi partisipatif adalah pendidikan formal, luas lahan, kompetensi pemberdaya, terpaan media komunikasi, dan dukungan lembaga.Kata Kunci: Dialog, komunikasi, partisipasi, urban farming
The development of sustainable tourism can be realized through ecotourism. Ecotourism itself is an environmentally conscious tourism activity that prioritizes aspects of nature conservation, social, ...cultural, and economic empowerment of local communities, as well as learning and education aspects. This research aims to analyze the dynamics of convergence communication in community-based ecotourism management in Indonesia. The method used in this research is literature review. There are four community-based ecotourism locations selected purposively, namely Blekok Village ecotourism, Mola Wakatobi Village, Berjo Village, and Wae Rebo Village. The results obtained from these four ecotourism sites show the process of convergence communication in ecotourism management consisting of stages of understanding, agreement, and collective action. Through collective action, the aim is to develop ecotourism in accordance with its principles from aspects of environmental conservation, economic benefits, cultural preservation, and community participation.
Objective: This research aims to investigate the strategies used by media organizations to improve the competence of journalists in the digital era and improve the quality of news delivery and ...development content. Method: This research uses mixed methods with a sequential strategy explanation approach. The research population consists of television journalists with news segmentation. The research sample consisted of 60 journalists representing national television media. Quantitative data analysis is used in this research using a regression model with SPSS (Statistic Package for the Social Sciences). Results and conclusion: The research results show that (1) organizational support from dependent media turns out to provide professional awards needed by journalists as a form of appreciation; (2) the function of controlling news and mediating problems between journalists and stakeholders also receives high attention from the media crew. Journalists need more independent media organizations to maintain security and support the implementation of the journalist profession; (2) professionally, journalists always do research before reporting, while journalists' communication competence is still weak in articulating and conveying information. Specific competencies for the media industry, journalists are considered to have mastered their profession, especially in presenting news, and writing scientific papers in the field of education, and journalists are adept at writing about history with social orientation competencies; (3) Regarding the quality of development messages, journalists always pay attention to the appropriateness of the type of information journalists convey development policy information to maintain the quality of development messages so that they remain meaningful, journalists try to adapt themselves to their duties to ensure news is more meaningful and factual; (3) news diversity is a concern in presenting news in maintaining the quality of the news, explaining the chronology, paying attention to the relevance of the truth of the information, news written in language that is easy to understand, according to the facts, in favor of the public interest.

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the impact of rituals carried out by the Indonesian Association of Women with Disabilities (HWDI) on the formation of self-efficacy among women with ...disabilities. Theoretical Framework: The research is framed within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which emphasize inclusion and leave no one behind, especially for people with disabilities. It also draws upon the concept of self-efficacy, which influences individuals' beliefs in their capabilities to execute courses of action required to attain specific performance goals. Method: A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing case studies conducted at HWDI branches in Bandung and Cianjur. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was conducted using NVivo 12 Plus, with the HWDI as the organizational unit of analysis. Results and Conclusion: The study found that HWDI rituals, including training sessions, "sharing" sessions, committee involvement, and religious activities, have a positive impact on the development of self-efficacy among women with disabilities. Family support and support from the HWDI were identified as crucial factors in enhancing self-efficacy. Additionally, positive messages, particularly those of a motivational and religious nature, were found to reinforce self-efficacy beliefs among the participants. Implications of the Research: The findings of this study highlight the importance of implementing rituals and support systems tailored to the needs of women with disabilities to enhance their self-efficacy. These insights can inform the development of programs and interventions aimed at empowering this marginalized group and promoting their inclusion in various aspects of society. Originality/Value: This research contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the impact of HWDI rituals on the self-efficacy of women with disabilities. It sheds light on the role of support systems and positive messaging in fostering self-belief and empowerment among this population, thereby offering valuable insights for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers in the field of disability rights and empowerment.
Objetivos: Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el impacto de los rituales realizados por la Asociación Indonesia de Mujeres con Discapacidad (HWDI) en la formación de la autoeficacia entre las mujeres con discapacidad. Marco teórico: La investigación se enmarca en el contexto de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), que enfatizan la inclusión y no dejar a nadie atrás, especialmente para las personas con discapacidad. También se basa en el concepto de autoeficacia, que influye en las creencias de los individuos sobre sus capacidades para ejecutar los cursos de acción necesarios para alcanzar objetivos específicos de rendimiento. Método: Se empleó un enfoque de investigación cualitativa, utilizando estudios de caso realizados en las sucursales de HWDI en Bandung y Cianjur. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de entrevistas, observación y documentación. El análisis se realizó utilizando NVivo 12 Plus, con el HWDI como unidad organizativa de análisis. Resultados y conclusión: El estudio encontró que los rituales de HWDI, incluidas las sesiones de capacitación, las sesiones de "intercambio", la participación en comités y las actividades religiosas, tienen un impacto positivo en el desarrollo de la autoeficacia entre las mujeres con discapacidad. El apoyo de la familia y el apoyo del HWDI se identificaron como factores cruciales para mejorar la autoeficacia. Método: Utilizou-se uma abordagem de pesquisa qualitativa, utilizando estudos de caso realizados nas filiais do HWDI em Bandung e Cianjur. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas, observação e documentação. A análise foi realizada utilizando o NVivo 12 Plus, tendo o HWDI como unidade organizacional de análise. Resultados e Conclusão: O estudo descobriu que os rituais HWDI, incluindo sessões de treinamento, sessões de "partilha", envolvimento de comitês e atividades religiosas, têm um impacto positivo no desenvolvimento da autoeficácia entre mulheres com deficiência. O apoio familiar e o apoio do IDHW foram identificados como fatores cruciais para aumentar a autoeficácia. Além disso, mensagens positivas, particularmente aquelas de natureza motivacional e religiosa, reforçam as crenças de autoeficácia entre os participantes. Implicações da Pesquisa: Os resultados deste estudo destacam a importância da implementação de rituais e sistemas de apoio adaptados às necessidades das mulheres com deficiência para aumentar sua autoeficácia. Esses insights podem informar o desenvolvimento de programas e intervenções que visam capacitar esse grupo marginalizado e promover sua inclusão em vários aspetos da sociedade.
