Abstract The Massive MIMO system in FDD communication mode is still one of the indispensable technologies in future cellular communication systems. In order to reduce CSI feedback overhead and ...enhance the quality of CSI channel reconstruction, this paper proposes a RiCsiNet network model and designs an iNetBlock module with larger convolutional kernels and a wider network structure. By connecting parallel convolution kernels of 1 × 1, 3 × 3, 5 × 5, and 7 × 7, both the width of the network and the receptive field are increased simultaneously, enabling calculation of different feature details at each layer. The compressed CSI is accurately estimated through residual connections at the BS end. The network model proposed in this paper, when considering both the model parameter size and the estimated CSI accuracy, outperforms the existing algorithm model in the NMSE index of 70%. In this paper, we verify that using different learning rate decay algorithms to train the model, a good learning rate decay algorithm can effectively improve the quality of the model, the best result is 12% higher than the worst result. Furthermore, we demonstrate that training different network models with varying amounts of data can not only save time but also maximize CSI channel estimation quality on the BS side. Finally, the RiCsiNet model was verified using different SNR under COST2100 channel model. QuaDRiGa data sets with different truncated subcarriers are used to verify the RiCsiNet model. The CSI estimated by the RiCsiNet model all showed high accuracy.
Biodiversity is important for supporting ecosystem functioning. To evaluate the factors contributing to the strength of microbial diversity-function relationships in complex terrestrial ecosystems, ...we conducted a soil survey over different habitats, including an agricultural field, forest, wetland, grassland, and desert. Soil microbial multidiversity was estimated by the combination of bacterial and fungal diversity. Soil ecosystem functions were evaluated using a multinutrient cycling index (MNC) in relation to carbon, nitrate, phosphorus, and potassium cycling. Significant positive relationships between soil multidiversity and multinutrient cycling were observed in all habitats, except the grassland and desert. Specifically, community compositions showed stronger correlations with multinutrient cycling than α-diversity, indicating the crucial role of microbial community composition differences on soil nutrient cycling. Importantly, we revealed that changes in both the neutral processes (Sloan neutral modeling) and the proportion of negative bacterial-fungal associations were linked to the magnitude and direction of the diversity-MNC relationships. The habitats less governed by neutral processes and dominated by negative bacterial-fungal associations exhibited stronger negative microbial
-diversity-MNC relationships. Our findings suggested that the balance between positive and negative bacterial-fungal associations was connected to the link between soil biodiversity and ecosystem function in complex terrestrial ecosystems. This study elucidates the potential factors influencing diversity-function relationships, thereby enabling future studies to forecast the effects of belowground biodiversity on ecosystem function.
The relationships between soil biodiversity and ecosystem functions are an important yet poorly understood topic in microbial ecology. This study presents an exploratory effort to gain predictive understanding of the factors driving the relationships between microbial diversity and potential soil nutrient cycling in complex terrestrial ecosystems. Our structural equation modeling and random forest analysis revealed that the balance between positive and negative bacterial-fungal associations was clearly linked to the strength of the relationships between soil microbial diversity and multiple nutrients cycling across different habitats. This study revealed the potential factors underpinning diversity-function relationships in terrestrial ecosystems and thus helps us to manage soil microbial communities for better provisioning of key ecosystem services.
Mapping tumor metabolic remodeling and their spatial crosstalk with surrounding non-tumor cells can fundamentally improve our understanding of tumor biology, facilitates the designing of advanced ...therapeutic strategies. Here, we present an integration of mass spectrometry imaging-based spatial metabolomics and lipidomics with microarray-based spatial transcriptomics to hierarchically visualize the intratumor metabolic heterogeneity and cell metabolic interactions in same gastric cancer sample. Tumor-associated metabolic reprogramming is imaged at metabolic-transcriptional levels, and maker metabolites, lipids, genes are connected in metabolic pathways and colocalized in the heterogeneous cancer tissues. Integrated data from spatial multi-omics approaches coherently identify cell types and distributions within the complex tumor microenvironment, and an immune cell-dominated "tumor-normal interface" region where tumor cells contact adjacent tissues are characterized with distinct transcriptional signatures and significant immunometabolic alterations. Our approach for mapping tissue molecular architecture provides highly integrated picture of intratumor heterogeneity, and transform the understanding of cancer metabolism at systemic level.
Hermetia illucens‐3 (HI‐3), an active insect antimicrobial peptide extracted from H. illucens larvae, exerts antibacterial and anticancer activity. However, the inflammatory effects and their ...relative molecular mechanisms remain unclear. To explore the inflammatory effects of HI‐3, an inflammatory model was induced using 1 ng/mL LPS in RAW264.7 cells. The cell viability and phagocytosis of LPS‐stimulated RAW264.7 cells were then detected after HI‐3 treatment. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity, the levels of proinflammatory cytokines, and the expression levels of both p65 and inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B (IκB) were measured. Results showed that HI‐3 could inhibit the differentiation, proliferation, phagocytosis, and antioxidant ability, as well as the secretion and messenger RNA expression levels of IL‐6, TNF‐α, and IL‐1β of LPS‐induced RAW264.7 cells in a dose‐dependent manner. At the same time, the level of the anti‐inflammatory cytokine IL‐10 was increased after HI‐3 treatment. Western blotting results showed that HI‐3 suppressed LPS‐induced p65 and IκB activation in a dose‐dependent manner. Therefore, HI‐3 exerts its anti‐inflammatory effect by inhibiting the expression of proinflammatory cytokines and the activation of p65 and IκB, which indicated that HI‐3 could be a promising therapeutic medicine for inflammation.

Hearing loss is highly prevalent and associated with reduced well-being in older adults. But little is known about the role of social factors in the association of hearing difficulty and its health ...consequences. This study aims to examine the association between self-reported hearing loss and health-related quality of life (HRQoL, consisted of physical and mental component summary, PCS and MCS), and to investigate whether social engagement mediates this association.
Data on 4035 older adults aged 60 years or above from a cross-sectional nationally representative database in China were obtained to address this study. HRQoL was measured by the Short Form 12 Health Survey (SF-12). Hearing loss was defined by a dichotomized measure of self-reported hearing difficulty, which has been proved to be sensitive and displayed moderate associations with audiometric assessment in elderly population. Social engagement was measured by the Index of Social Engagement Scale. Bootstrap test was applied to test for the significance of the mediating role of social engagement.
Self-reported hearing loss was found negatively associated with HRQoL in older adults, and hearing loss was much more related to reduced mental well-being. Social engagement played a partial mediating role in the association of hearing loss and HRQoL. Social engagement account for 4.14% of the variance in the change of PCS scores and 13.72% for MCS, respectively.
The study lends support to the hypothesis that hearing loss is associated with aging well beings, and the use of hearing aid or proper social engagement intervention may improve the quality of life among the elderly.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a solid tumor prone to chemotherapy resistance, and combined immunotherapy is expected to bring a breakthrough in HCC treatment. However, the tumor and tumor ...microenvironment (TME) of HCC is highly complex and heterogeneous, and there are still many unknowns regarding tumor cell stemness and metabolic reprogramming in HCC. In this study, we combined single-cell RNA sequencing data from 27 HCC tumor tissues and 4 adjacent non-tumor tissues, and bulk RNA sequencing data from 374 of the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) samples to construct a global single-cell landscape atlas of HCC. We analyzed the enrichment of signaling pathways of different cells in HCC, and identified the developmental trajectories of cell subpopulations in the TME using pseudotime analysis. Subsequently, we performed transcription factors regulating different subpopulations and gene regulatory network analysis, respectively. In addition, we estimated the stemness index of tumor cells and analyzed the intercellular communication between tumors and key TME cell clusters. We identified novel HCC cell clusters that specifically express HP (HCC_HP), which may lead to higher tumor differentiation and tumor heterogeneity. In addition, we found that the HP gene expression-positive neutrophil cluster (Neu_AIF1) had extensive and strong intercellular communication with HCC cells, tumor endothelial cells (TEC) and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF), suggesting that clearance of this new cluster may inhibit HCC progression. Furthermore, ErbB signaling pathway and GnRH signaling pathway were found to be upregulated in almost all HCC tumor-associated stromal cells and immune cells, except NKT cells. Moreover, the high intercellular communication between HCC and HSPA1-positive TME cells suggests that the immune microenvironment may be reprogrammed. In summary, our present study depicted the single-cell landscape heterogeneity of human HCC, identified new cell clusters in tumor cells and neutrophils with potential implications for immunotherapy research, discovered complex intercellular communication between tumor cells and TME cells.

Dysregulation of SUMO modification is linked to carcinogenesis. UBC9 is the sole conjugating enzyme in sumoylation and plays a pivotal role in maintaining homeostasis and restraining stress ...reactions. However, the clinical significance and function of UBC9 in bladder cancer remain unclear. In this study, immunohistochemistry was used to determine the expression of UBC9. UBC9 knock-down and SUMO inhibition were conducted followed by proliferation, migration, and cell cycle assays. RNA sequencing and bioinformatic analysis were used to identify potential mechanisms of UBC9. Cytokine membrane antibody array was used to detect the expression of cytokine. The mass cytometry TOF (CyTOF) was used to explore the association between bladder cancer stem cell-like population and UBC9 expression. Our results showed that UBC9 played a dual role in bladder cancer. UBC9 was up-regulated in bladder cancer, but was negatively correlated with TNM stage and grade. Knocking-down of UBC9 resulted in dramatic activation of inflammatory gene expression, which might cause inhibition of cell proliferation and inducing cell apoptosis. IL6 was the hub gene in UBC9 regulatory network. Markedly up-regulated IL6 after knocking-down of UBC9 activated the expression of CD44, which was a prominent marker of cancer stem cells. Thus, our results revealed an important and previously undescribed role for UBC9 in modulation of inflammatory signaling of bladder cancer. UBC9 in bladder cancer cells is required to maintain high sumoylation levels and alleviate stress-related inflammation threats to cell survival. Lacking UBC9 contributes to inflammation activation, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and stem cell-like population formation, leading to cancer progression.

Children who suffer from parental migration have been manifested to exhibit physical and mental impairments at higher rates. This current study aims to explore unintentional injury disparity among ...schooling left-behind children, migrant children and residential children in China, and to examine the risk factors of unintentional injury among the three types of children based on a multi-level system framework. This study will fill the gaps of this topic for China and contribute to the world literature in the context of countries with frequent population migration.
Data for 4479 children aged 6-16 of a representative population sample were obtained from a survey conducted in China in 2017. Child's unintentional injury in this survey was measured based on the definition and classification of ICD-10. Descriptive analysis, multivariable logistic regression and zero-inflated negative binomial regression were employed in this study.
Left-behind children showed higher prevalence of total unintentional injury than migrant and residential children, as well as in 14 specific unintentional injuries. There was a statistical difference between left-behind and residential children's unintentional injuries, but no significant difference was found between migrant and residential children. Results also indicated that both individual and environmental factors constructed as a multi-level system were associated with children's unintentional injuries.
Family migration may have contributed to the increased unintentional injury risks among children. Left-behind children were more vulnerable to suffer from unintentional injuries than migrant and residential children, and specific attentions should be paid to unique group of children, especially the left-behind children. Given the importance and serious consequences of children's unintentional injuries, the findings may provide implications for necessary intervention.

The release of antibiotics into the water environment can pose a serious threat to human and ecological health, so it is of great significance to effectively remove antibiotics from wastewater. In ...this work, porphyrinic zirconium metal–organic framework material, PCN-224, was first explored for the adsorption removal of antibiotics from water using tetracycline (TC) and ciprofloxacin (CIP) as examples. We prepared a series of PCN-224 with different particle sizes (150 nm, 300 nm, 500 nm, and 6 μm). Benefiting from the huge surface area (1616 m2 g–1), the 300 nm-PCN-224 sample had the best adsorption properties for TC and CIP. Remarkably, it exhibits fast removal rates and high adsorption capacities of 354.81 and 207.16 mg g–1 for TC and CIP, respectively. The adsorption of TC and CIP in 300 nm-PCN-224 is consistent with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm model, which indicates that the adsorption can be regarded as homogeneous monolayer chemisorption, and the adsorption is exothermic, which has been confirmed by thermodynamic studies. Under visible-light irradiation, 300 nm-PCN-224 exhibited high photocatalytic activity for TC and CIP. The adsorption studies confirmed that the adsorption of adsorbates takes place via the formation of hydrogen bonding, π–π interactions, and electrostatic attraction. In addition, the adsorbent can be simply regenerated by photocatalysis under visible light, and the adsorption–desorption efficiency is still above 85% after repeated use five times. The work of MOFs to remove antibiotics from water shows that MOFs have great potential in this field and are worthy of further study.

Hearing loss, a highly prevalent sensory impairment affecting older adults, is a risk factor for cognition decline. However, there were very limited studies on this association in low-resource ...countries. This study aimed to assess the association between self-reported hearing loss and cognitive decline, and whether engagement in leisure activities moderated this association among older adults in China.
Data were obtained from two waves of the nationally representative survey of China Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) between 2011/12-2014. Eight thousand eight hundred forty-four individuals aged 65 years old or above with a dichotomized measure of self-reported hearing status were included. Modified Mini-Mental Examination (MMSE) was used to measure global cognition. Fixed-effects models were used to estimate whether leisure activity engagement moderated the association of self-perceived hearing loss with global cognitive change in the overall sample and sex subsamples.
Self-reported hearing loss was associated with cognitive impairment, with an odds ratio of 2.48 1.22, 5.06. Sex difference in the association of hearing loss and cognitive impairment was not found. Self-reported hearing loss was associated with cognitive decline, with 8% increase in risk compared with those with normal hearing. Frequent engagement in leisure activities moderated the association between hearing loss and cognitive decline for the whole and male samples.
Hearing loss was associated with cognitive decline, and leisure activities engagement moderated the association among males rather than females.
