Today "Tract Trekhozerki" is a state natural zoological reserve of regional importance. The tract is home to over 100 species of birds, including 12 species listed in the Red Book of the Russian ...Federation. For five bird species, breeding information was obtained over the period from 2013 to 2018. In two species of gulls (Larus argentatus mongolicus Suskin, 1925 and Larus ichthyaetus), the abundance changes were similar: the number of breeding pairs decreased (in the second species to 0) from 2013 to 2015, and then there was an increase in numbers. The population of Ardea cinerea has decreased. Recurvirostra avosetta breeds irregularly in the tract, with 73 pairs nesting in 2018. For all these species, a decrease in the average size of masonry in years with a low water level was noted. Phalacrocorax carbo at nesting were noted only in 2013 and 2014. The changes in abundance are associated with cyclical fluctuations in the water level in water bodies: a decrease from 2013 to 2015 and a subsequent increase until 2018. This affected the availability of nests, the area of habitats suitable for nesting, and species competition. For species of birds listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation (L. ichthyaetus and R. avosetta), the high, but not the maximum degree of watering observed in 2013 and 2018 is most favorable.
Abstract Background In gastric MALT lymphomas persisting after Helicobacter pylori ( H. pylori ) eradication, a treatment by moderate-dose radiotherapy (RT) has been proposed but its efficacy has not ...been confirmed in large prospective series with long term endoscopic follow-up. Method Patients with localised gastric MALT lymphoma persisting after H. pylori eradication were offered moderate-dose RT (30 Gy, 2 Gy/fraction) and followed with annual endoscopies. All biopsies before and after RT were reviewed by a committee of pathologists. Results From 1995 to 2011, out of the 232 patients followed prospectively, 53 received RT for persistence of lymphoma after H. pylori eradication: either macroscopic ulcer ( n = 31), or microscopic lymphomatous infiltrate ( n = 22), after a mean follow-up of 12 and 31 months, respectively. All lymphomas were localised (45 stage IE and 8 stage IIE) and 38 (72%) were H. pylori -positive. The mean clinical and endoscopic follow-up from diagnosis was 7.6 years (2.2–19.1). No acute or late toxicity occurred. A complete remission was achieved in all patients but one (98%) with no relapse after a median follow-up of 4.9 years (1.3–16.6) after completion of RT. Overall survival and 5-year disease specific survival were 94% and 100%, respectively. One patient died of gastric adenocarcinoma. Conclusion Moderate-dose RT (30 Gy) is effective and safe for localised gastric MALT lymphoma persisting after H. pylori eradication.

We have observed the decays B-->phi K and phi K^* in a sample of over 45 million B mesons collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider. The measured branching fractions are BF(B^+ --> phi ...K^+) = (7.7^{+1.6}_{-1.4}+/- 0.8) x 10^{-6}, BF(B^0 --> phi K^0) = (8.1^{+3.1}_{-2.5}+/- 0.8) x 10^{-6}, BF(B^+ --> phi K^{*+}) = (9.7^{+4.2}_{-3.4}+/- 1.7) x 10^{-6} and BF(B^0 --> phi K^{*0}) = (8.6^{+2.8}_{-2.4}+/- 1.1) x 10^{-6}. We also report the upper limit BF(B^+ --> phi pi^+) 1.4 x 10^{-6}$ (90% CL).

Using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 79 pb{sup -1}, D0 has searched for events containing multiple jets and large missing transverse energy in p{bar p} collisions at {radical}s = ...1.8 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Observing no significant excess beyond what is expected from the standard model, they set limits on the masses of squarks and gluinos and on the model parameters m{sub 0} and m{sub 1/2}, in the framework of the minimal low-energy supergravity models of supersymmetry. For tan {beta} = 2 and A{sub 0} = 0, with {mu} < 0, they exclude all models with m{sub q} {approx} < 250 GeV/c{sup 2}. For models with equal squark and gluino masses, they exclude m < 260 GeV/c{sup 2}.

The DIRC (acronym for Detection of Internally Reflected Cherenkov (light)) is a new type of Cherenkov ring imaging detector based on total internal reflection that is used for the first time in the ...BaBar detector at the PEP-II ring of SLAC. The Cherenkov radiators are long rectangular bars made of synthetic fused silica, the photon detector is a water tank equipped with an array of 10,752 conventional photomultipliers. The first year operational experience in the BaBar detector is presented using cosmic data and collision data in the energy region of the /spl Upsi/(4S) resonance.
