A recent result of the cross section measurement of the process e + e − → K S K π at e + e − collider VEPP-2000 is presented using a data sample of the ∼150 pb−1 integrated luminosity collected with ...the CMD-3 detector. The processes with charged kaons in multi hadron events attract special interest, because they impact strongly on studies of light quark hadronization, isospin symmetry, and strange meson spectroscopy. Experimental results of e + e − → K S K π cross section are presented in a broad energy range covered by the VEPP-2000 and compared to earlier measurements. A study of the production dynamics confirms the dominance of neutral KK * ( 892 ) intermediate state.
Aim of the issue was to compare clinical characteristics and treatment results of patients with follicular lymphoma (FL) with translocations involving loci of c-MYC/8q24, BCL2/18q21 and/or BCL6/3q27 ...genes and patients with high - grade B-cell lymphoma High - grade B-cell lymphoma (HGBL), double - hit (DH). Materials and methods. Since 2004 to 2017 years in National Research Center for Hematology 12 patients with high - grade B-cell lymphoma double - hit (HGBL DH) and 6 FL patients with translocations involving c-MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6 had been treated. We performed a comparative analysis of clinical characterisctics in both groups. As primary endpoints was assessed frequency of complete remission (CR) or progressive disease (PD); as secondary endpoints - overall (OS) and event - free survival (EFS). Results. 5 patients with HGBL DH had c-MYC/BCL6, 7 - c-MYC/BCL2 rearrangements; 2 patients with FL had c-MYC/BCL2, 3 - c-MYC/BCL6, 1 - c-MYC/BCL2/BCL6 rearrangements. FL was represented by grade 3A in 2, grade 3B - in 4 cases, 3 of them had large - cell transformation. In HGBL DH and FL patients had no significant differences in clinical characteristics. The majority of patients had a widespread tumour, increased LDH activity, high frequency of extranodal and bone marrow involvement. Ki-67 expression level was lower in patients with FL (p

CMD-3 is a general purpose detector designed to study e+e− annihilation into hadrons. It is mounted at VEPP-2000 collider which operates in the wide energy range, Ec.m.s=0.32−2GeV. The calorimetry at ...the detector is based on three subsystems: closest to the beam pipe barrel Liquid Xenon calorimeter, outer barrel calorimeter based on CsI scintillation crystals and the endcap calorimeter made of BGO scintillation crystals. We describe the structure of the calorimeters, their electronics and the energy calibration procedures.

Aim
. This study aims to compare efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) with vitamin K antagonist (VKA) in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) ...stages IV and V.
Material and methods
. We systematically searched the PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science databases from 1990 to 2022 and included all published studies that compared DOACs with VKA in patients with atrial fibrillation and chronic kidney disease stages IV and V. To search the articles, we used the PICO strategy: Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome of Interest. Data extraction was undertaken by five independent researches, and then a meta-analysis was performed.
Results
. Out of all, 6 studies were included in the meta-analysis: 3 randomized controlled trials (n=353) and 3 retrospective analyses (n=37470). The efficacy of DOACs was comparable with VKA. In terms of safety, DOACs and VKA also showed no statistical differences: hemorrhagic stroke, major/minor/gastrointestinal bleeding, general mortality.
Conclusion
. In terms of efficacy and safety, the indicators of DOACs and VKA were generally comparable.
Characteristic properties of a Geiger Mode APD (G-APD) in a THGEM-based cryogenic two-phase Ar avalanche detector were studied in view of potential applications in rare-event experiments. G-APD ...signal amplitude and noise characteristics at cryogenic temperatures turned out to be superior to those at room temperature. The effective detection of avalanche scintillations from THGEM-multiplier holes in two-phase Ar has been demonstrated using a G-APD without wavelength shifter. At an avalanche gain of 60, the avalanche scintillation yield measured by the G-APD was as high as 0.9 photoelectrons per avalanche electron, extrapolated to 4
π acceptance.

The cross section of the process e + e − → π + π − has been measured in the center of mass energy range from 0.32 to 1.2 GeV with the CMD-3 detector at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000. The ...measurement is based on a full dataset collected below 1 GeV during three data taking seasons, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 62 pb − 1 . In the dominant ρ -resonance region, a systematic uncertainty of 0.7% has been reached. At energies around ϕ -resonance the π + π − production cross section was measured for the first time with high beam energy resolution. The forward-backward charge asymmetry in the π + π − production has also been measured. It shows a strong deviation from the theoretical prediction based on the conventional scalar quantum electrodynamics framework, and it is in good agreement with the generalized vector-meson-dominance and dispersive-based predictions. The impact of the presented results on the evaluation of the hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of muon is discussed. Published by the American Physical Society 2024

We study the performance of two-phase avalanche detectors based on Gas Electron Multipliers (GEMs) and operated in an electron-avalanching mode in Ar and Xe. Emission, gain, energy resolution and ...stability characteristics of the detectors were studied. Rather high gains, reaching 5000, and stable operation for several hours were observed in the two-phase Ar avalanche detector using a triple-GEM multiplier. The signals induced by X-rays,
β-particles and γ-rays were successfully recorded. Preliminary results were obtained in the two-phase Xe avalanche detector: the maximum gain of the triple-GEM in two-phase Xe and Xe+2%CH
4 was about 200. The results obtained are relevant in the field of two-phase detectors for dark matter searches, coherent neutrino scattering, PET and digital radiography.

We present here a comprehensive study of the light yield of primary and secondary scintillations produced in gaseous and liquid Ar in the near infrared (NIR) and visible region, at cryogenic ...temperatures. The measurements were performed using Geiger-mode avalanche photodiodes (GAPDs) and pulsed X-ray irradiation. The primary scintillation yield of the fast emission component in gaseous Ar was found to be independent of temperature in the range of 87-160 K; it amounted to 17000 plus or minus 3000 photon/MeV in the NIR in the range of 690-1000 nm. In liquid Ar at 87 K, the primary scintillation yield of the fast component was considerably reduced, amounting to 510 plus or minus 90 photon/MeV, in the range of 400-1000 nm. Proportional NIR scintillations (electroluminescence) in gaseous Ar were also observed; their amplification parameter at 160 K was measured to be 13 photons per drifting electron per kV. No proportional scintillations were observed in liquid Ar up to the electric fields of 30 kV/cm. The applications of NIR scintillations in dark matter search and coherent neutrino-nucleus scattering experiments and in ion beam radiotherapy are considered.
