The purpose of the study is to analyze the influences of Transformational Leadership, Power Distance and Followership on the Capability of Officers' Decision Making in Kostrad. The research method ...used is the survey method which is taken from 293 respondents and associative research explanations using the quantitative research. The writer uses path analysis as the data analysis techniques. The results of the study shows that (1) Transformational Leadership has a direct positive effect in Decision Making Capabilities, (2) Power Distance has a direct positive effect in Decision Making Capabilities, (3) Followership has a direct positive effect in Decision Making Capabilities, 4) Transformational leadership has a direct positive in Followership, (5) Power Distance has a direct positive effect in Followership, (6) Transformational leadership has a direct positive effect in Decision Making Capabilities that has a direct positive effect in Power Distance, (7) Transformational leadership is influential not through the Power Distance mediation variable, (8) Transformational leadership has a positive indirect effect in Decision Making Capabilities through mediation in Followership variables. (9) Power Distance has an indirect positive effect in Decision Making Capabilities through mediation in Followership variables.
The aim of this article is to explain the relation between human security and media studies when looking at the problem of security in Indonesia, a country experiencing a process of democratization. ...In media studies, the problem of human security often only emphasizes discourse and event analysis, without relating it with the human security problem. Connecting human security and media is very important because media has a very important role in constructing the public and State’s opinion. This article analyses news, as reported in the media, then gives context about the State and problems related to human security. It is concluded that media is highly influential in studying human security because of its numerous economic, political and cultural interests.
At present, Indonesian Armed Force (TNI) has a basic policy on evaluating the performance of individual soldiers as stated in the Decree of TNI Commander Number KEP/1081/XII/2015 on December 21, 2015 ...concerning Technical Guidelines for Individual Performance appraisal. The current condition of the performance appraisal system in TNI is still general, so the system still requires additional criteria when it is carried out for performance appraisal on staff/work units under it. this study aimed to provide an analysis decision making of the program continuity based on the evaluation result’s condition of performance appraisal policy implementation in TNI logistic staff in accordance with the Decree of TNI Commander KEP/1081/XII/2015 on December 21, 2015. This study used Discrepancy Evaluation Model (DEM) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) methods. The DEM method is used to identify policy evaluation criteria. AHP method is used to give weight to the criteria and recommendation of policy outcome decision. Based on the experts’ judgement, the policy of performance appraisal program for TNI logistics officers needed to be revised or reviewed. Based on the results of the evaluation analysis, there were several sub-aspects of the criteria which needed to be revised. The results of weighting criteria according to the level of importance of policy decision making found that the terminated performance appraisal policy aspect (H-I) obtained a weight of 0.01165; the revised performance appraisal policy aspect (H-II) obtained weight of 0.3732; the continued performance appraisal policy aspect (H-III) obtained a weight of 0.2644; and disseminated performance appraisal policy aspect (H-IV) obtained a weight of 0.2459. The result of this study can also encourage the professionalism of TNI soldiers by being able to identify the extent to which officers can work.
Purpose: This study aims to obtain a strategic model for the arrangement of the Indonesian plywood industry after the monetary crisis with high uncertainty.
Theoretical framework: This study ...discusses several theoretical frameworks which include Strategic Policy, Plywood Industry, and System Dynamic Modeling.
Design/methodology/approach: This study was conducted covering the stages of collecting data and information, as well as the stages of Dynamic System Modeling.
Findings: The result of the study is the preparation of dynamic systems through formulation into dynamic sub-models, namely: plywood industrial production, sawn timber industry, chip mill industrial production, log raw material production for the wood industry, log economic contribution to the center and the region, illegal export logs, domestic and exports of the wood industry as well as financial feasibility of the plywood industry.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The results of the study are useful for decision makers in Plywood Industry Management on work culture of Indonesia fabricaton because they show that the proposed practices have an important impact on organizational company excellence.
Originality/value: The policies carried out in the plywood industry structuring strategy include a national plywood production limitation policy, a national sawn wood production limitation policy, and a cutting restriction policy in the form of the Annual Allowable Cutting in various combinations which are outlined in eight main policies scenarios and translated into 28 scenarios.
This research was conducted to improve the quality of human resource management in Civil Servants (especially employees of the National Disaster Management Agency). This study examines the effect of ...transformational leadership, human capital, and innovative work behavior on quality human resource management. This study used a sample of 239 employees of the National Disaster Management Agency. The analytical method used is SEM analysis with WrapPLS. This research shows that only human capital and innovative work behavior can have a positive and significant effect on quality human resource management. The findings of this study prove that transformational leadership has no significant effect on quality human resource management and innovation work behavior. Further research has been described in this study.
