A bstract We study the geometry of $$T\overline{T }$$ -deformed BTZ black hole and find it can be regarded as a quotient of hyperbolic space. We then consider the massive scalar field propagating in ...the $$T\overline{T }$$ -deformed BTZ black hole background. The one-loop partition function of scalar field is calculated using the heat kernel method and the Wilson spool proposal. These two methods give consistent result which implies the Wilson spool proposal still holds under $$T\overline{T }$$ deformation. Moreover, we also calculate the one-loop partition function of graviton in $$T\overline{T }$$ -deformed BTZ black hole. We find the deformed one-loop partition functions are modified in a simple way, which corresponds to a replacement of the modular parameter. The result precisely matches the large c expansion of $$T\overline{T }$$ -deformed CFT partition function. These results provide a further check about the correspondence between $$T\overline{T }$$ -deformed CFT 2 and AdS 3 with mixed boundary condition.
Bearing is one of the most critical components in most electrical and power drives. Effective bearing fault diagnosis is important for keeping the electrical and power drives safe and operating ...normally. In the age of Internet of Things and Industrial 4.0, massive real-time data are collected from bearing health monitoring systems. Mechanical big data have the characteristics of large volume, diversity, and high velocity. There are two major problems in using the existing methods for bearing fault diagnosis with big data. The features are manually extracted relying on much prior knowledge about signal processing techniques and diagnostic expertise, and the used models have shallow architectures, limiting their capability in fault diagnosis. Effectively mining features from big data and accurately identifying the bearing health conditions with new advanced methods have become new issues. This paper presents a deep learning-based approach for bearing fault diagnosis. The presented approach preprocesses sensor signals using short-time Fourier transform (STFT). Based on a simple spectrum matrix obtained by STFT, an optimized deep learning structure, large memory storage retrieval (LAMSTAR) neural network, is built to diagnose the bearing faults. Acoustic emission signals acquired from a bearing test rig are used to validate the presented method. The validation results show the accurate classification performance on various bearing faults under different working conditions. The performance of the presented method is also compared with other effective bearing fault diagnosis methods reported in the literature. The comparison results have shown that the presented method gives much better diagnostic performance, even at relatively low rotating speeds.
The formation of high‐nuclearity silver(I) clusters remains elusive and their potential applications are still underdeveloped. Herein, we firstly prepared a chain‐like thiolated AgI complex ...{Ag18(StBu)10(NO3)8(CH3CN)2(H2O)2 ⋅ Ag18(StBu)10(NO3)8(CH3CN)6}n (abbreviated as Ag18) in which two similar Ag18 clusters are assembled by NO3− anions. The solution containing Ag18 reacted with hydrogen sulfide with controlled concentration, promptly producing another identifiable and bright red‐emitting high‐nuclearity silver(I) cluster, Ag62(S)13(StBu)32(NO3)4 (abbreviated as Ag62). We tracked the transformation using time‐dependent electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI‐MS), UV/Vis absorption and photoluminescence spectra. Based on this cluster transformation, we further developed an ultra‐sensitive turn‐on sensor detecting H2S gas with an ultrafast response time (30 s) at a low detection limit (0.13 ppm). This work opens a new way of understanding the growth of metal clusters and developing their luminescent sensing applications.

A data mining approach using ensemble decision trees (DTs) learning is proposed for online dynamic security assessment (DSA), with the objective of mitigating the impact of possibly missing PMU data. ...Specifically, multiple small DTs are first trained offline using a random subspace method. In particular, the developed random subspace method exploits the hierarchy of wide-area monitoring system (WAMS), the locational information of attributes, and the availability of PMU measurements, so as to improve the overall robustness of the ensemble to missing data. Then, the performance of the trained small DTs is re-checked by using new cases in near real-time. In online DSA, viable small DTs are identified in case of missing PMU data, and a boosting algorithm is employed to quantify the voting weights of viable small DTs. The security classification decision for online DSA is obtained via a weighted voting of viable small DTs. A case study using the IEEE 39-bus system demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
The greater abundances of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in point-of-use tap and reclaimed water than that in freshly treated water raise the question whether residual disinfectants in ...distribution systems facilitate the spread of ARGs. This study investigated three widely used disinfectants (free chlorine, chloramine, and hydrogen peroxide) on promoting ARGs transfer within Escherichia coli strains and across genera from Escherichia coli to Salmonella typhimurium. The results demonstrated that subinhibitory concentrations (lower than minimum inhibitory concentrations MICs) of these disinfectants, namely 0.1–1 mg/L Cl2 for free chlorine, 0.1–1 mg/L Cl2 for chloramine, and 0.24–3 mg/L H2O2, led to concentration-dependent increases in intragenera conjugative transfer by 3.4–6.4, 1.9–7.5, and 1.4–5.4 folds compared with controls, respectively. By comparison, the intergenera conjugative frequencies were slightly increased by approximately 1.4–2.3 folds compared with controls. However, exposure to disinfectants concentrations higher than MICs significantly suppressed conjugative transfer. This study provided evidence and insights into possible underlying mechanisms for enhanced conjugative transfer, which involved intracellular reactive oxygen species formation, SOS response, increased cell membrane permeability, and altered expressions of conjugation-relevant genes. The results suggest that certain oxidative chemicals, such as disinfectants, accelerate ARGs transfer and therefore justify motivations in evaluating disinfection alternatives for controlling antibiotic resistance. This study also triggers questions regarding the potential role of environmental chemicals in the global spread of antibiotic resistance.

A COVID-19 outbreak emerged in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019 and developed into a global pandemic during March 2020. The effects of temperature on the dynamics of the COVID-19 epidemic in China are ...unknown. Data on COVID-19 daily confirmed cases and daily mean temperatures were collected from 31 provincial-level regions in mainland China between Jan. 20 and Feb. 29, 2020. Locally weighted regression and smoothing scatterplot (LOESS), distributed lag nonlinear models (DLNMs), and random-effects meta-analysis were used to examine the relationship between daily confirmed cases rate of COVID-19 and temperature conditions. The daily number of new cases peaked on Feb. 12, and then decreased. The daily confirmed cases rate of COVID-19 had a biphasic relationship with temperature (with a peak at 10 °C), and the daily incidence of COVID-19 decreased at values below and above these values. The overall epidemic intensity of COVID-19 reduced slightly following days with higher temperatures with a relative risk (RR) was 0.96 (95% CI: 0.93, 0.99). A random-effect meta-analysis including 28 provinces in mainland China, we confirmed the statistically significant association between temperature and RR during the study period (Coefficient = −0.0100, 95% CI: −0.0125, −0.0074). The DLNMs in Hubei Province (outside of Wuhan) and Wuhan showed similar patterns of temperature. Additionally, a modified susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered (M-SEIR) model, with adjustment for climatic factors, was used to provide a complete characterization of the impact of climate on the dynamics of the COVID-19 epidemic.

We propose two analytical relationships between affinity and opinion change. The first one focuses on value homophily, while the second one incorporates affinity in opinion dynamics. Three analytical ...test models are derived based on these relationships: the value homophily model, the temporal evolution of opinion summation, and the evolution of opinion difference between two individuals. We test these models using data from a previous experiment, and the results demonstrate their validity.

The notion of a crosscap state, a special conformal boundary state first defined in 2d CFT, was recently generalized to 2d massive integrable quantum field theories and integrable spin ...chains. It has been shown that the crosscap states preserve integrability. In this work, we first generalize this notion to the Lieb-Liniger model, which is a prototype of integrable non-relativistic many-body systems. We then show that the defined crosscap state preserves integrability. We derive the exact overlap formula of the crosscap state and the on-shell Bethe states. As a byproduct, we prove the conjectured overlap formula for integrable spin chains rigorously by coordinate Bethe ansatz. It turns out that the overlap formula for both models take the same form as a ratio of Gaudin-like determinants with a trivial prefactor. Finally we study quench dynamics of the crosscap state, which turns out to be surprisingly simple. The stationary density distribution is simply a constant. We also derive the analytic formula for dynamical correlation functions in the Tonks-Girardeau limit.
In this work, we study the holographic entanglement entropy in AdS3 gravity with the certain mixed boundary condition, which turns out to correspond to TT¯-deformed 2D CFTs. By employing the ...Chern-Simons formalism and Wilson line technique, the holographic entanglement entropy in TT¯-deformed BTZ black hole is obtained. We also get the same formula by calculating the RT surface. The holographic entanglement entropy agrees with the perturbation result derived from both TT¯-deformed CFTs and cutoff AdS3. Moreover, our result shows that the deformed entanglement entropy for large deformation parameter behaves like the entanglement entropy of CFT at zero temperature. We also consider the entanglement entropy of two intervals and study the effect of TT¯ deformation on phase transition.

A rapid, low‐temperature, and solution‐based route is developed for growing large‐sized cesium lead halide perovskite single crystals under ambient conditions. An ultralow minority carrier ...concentration was measured in CsPbBr3 (≈108 holes per cm3, much lower than in any other lead halide perovskite and crystalline silicon), which enables to realize self‐powered photodetectors with a high ON/OFF ratio (105).
