L’émergence de Shanghai en tant que ville globale invite à s’interroger : à qui appartient-elle ? Cet article aborde la question en examinant le caractère désirable des corps dans l’un des lieux ...cosmopolites de la ville : un espace de coworking fréquenté par une clientèle internationale. Prenant appui sur une analyse des rencontres visuelles dans les espaces physiques et virtuels, il montre que la logique d’appartenance à la communauté du coworking repose sur la distinction entre deux types de corps : celui, désirable, du professionnel transnational et celui, indésirable, du travailleur migrant originaire des zones rurales. Tandis que le second est réduit à ses fonctions de travail, le premier apparaît comme un corps doté de désirs, dont les interactions avec autrui brouillent la séparation entre le professionnel et l’intime, conformément au nouvel esprit du capitalisme. Cette ethnographie visuelle donne un aperçu de la façon dont les transformations économiques reconfigurent la vie urbaine à Shanghai, non seulement en reproduisant des formes locales d’exclusion sociale, mais également en encourageant des désirs racialisés adaptés à l’accumulation capitaliste à l’échelle mondiale.

The rise of Shanghai as a global city prompts the question: to whom does it belong? This article addresses the issue by examining the desirability of bodies in one of the city’s cosmopolitan spaces: ...a coworking space patronised by an international clientele. Drawing on an analysis of visual encounters in both physical and virtual spaces, it shows that the logic of belonging in the coworking community is based on the distinction between two kinds of bodies: the desirable one of the transnational professional and the undesirable one of the rural-urban migrant worker. While the latter is reduced to its working function, the former appears as a body complete with desires, whose interactions with others blur the separation of the professional and the intimate in line with the new spirit of capitalism. This visual ethnography provides insights on how economic changes reshape Shanghai’s urban life not only by reproducing local patterns of social exclusion, but also by encouraging racialised desires suited to capitalist accumulation on a global scale.

Abstract
Hyper-Kamiokande detector is proposed as a next generation underground water Cherenkov detector in Japan, and is planned to be an order of magnitude bigger than its predecessor, ...Super-Kamiokande. In order to further improve the detector capabilities in both low and high energy sectors, the multi-PMT modules instrumented with multiple 3-inch PMTs are being developed, in addition to the improved high quantum efficiency 20-inch PMTs. We developed a moveable laser system that can illuminate different positions on the photocathode to measure the characterization of the 3-inch PMTs as a function of the position on the photocathode.
A magnetic material with high permeability and low loss characteristics at high frequency is required for miniaturizing electronic components such as antennas. The key factors to keeping low magnetic ...loss are a high magnetic resonance frequency and the suppression of the eddy currents. We have fabricated a low-loss magnetic composite material by dispersing Ni 78 Fe 22 (permalloy) fine flakes in polymers; the thickness of the flakes was less than skin depth. The magnetic loss decreased with increased stirring time, and the minimum value occurred when the agglomerated particles decreased and most of the particles were deformed into flakes. Moreover, Zn 5 Ni 75 Fe 20 composite material indicated high permeability when the flakes were oriented in the direction of sheets. The effect of wavelength shortening by permeability enhancement and the low loss characteristic were confirmed by experimental results of a rod antenna loaded with the developed magnetic composite material.
Hydrogen permeation flux is generally described by the square-root law, but deviation from the law has been widely reported. For more precise description, pressure-dependent permeability has been ...proposed. Based on this approach, the hydrogen diffusion coefficient in palladium was evaluated as a continuous function of equilibrium hydrogen pressure. Results showed a decreasing diffusion coefficient with pressure, in contrast to increasing permeability and solution coefficient. The pre-exponential factor and activation energy for the diffusion coefficient in the dilute limit, i.e., intrinsic diffusion coefficient, were, respectively, 2.40×10−7m2/s and 21.1kJ/molH. This study did not assume constant hydrogen mobility, differently from most studies, but evaluated the mobility as a function of pressure. This precise analysis revealed slightly increasing mobility with pressure, because of less deep hydrogen potential at higher hydrogen concentrations. Finally, a guideline to develop membrane materials was provided. Materials with large deviation from Sieverts' law possibly have high permeability at practical pressures for permeation, i.e., atmospheric pressure or higher, even if the mobility in the dilute limit is low.
► Hydrogen diffusion and mobility were evaluated from permeation behavior. ► They are given as a function of equilibrium pressure, or hydrogen concentration. ► Constant mobility is not assumed differently from most studies. ► Slightly increasing mobility with concentration was revealed in the results. ► Large deviation from Sieverts' law was found to be favorable for high permeability.

Abstract
Hyper-Kamiokande is the next generation large-scale water Cherenkov detector. In Hyper-Kamiokade and Intermediate Water Cherenkov Detector for its long baseline project with J-PARC neutrino ...beam, use of multi-PMT, which is made by combination of 3-inch PMTs, is being considered. As part of multi-PMT development, we measured the characteristics of the 3-inch PMT including the temperature dependence of dark noise rate. The dark noise rate is important characteristic for detection of low energy events including neutron tagging. In addition, since PMT is generally susceptible to the magnetic field, we confirmed the photon detection efficiency in the condition where the magnetic field was applied.

L’analyse donne à voir comment les jeunes Français·e·s adoptent un mode de vie luxueux qui leur restait inaccessible en France et se livrent à un jeu social d’anticipation des positions aspirées en passant pour expatrié·e·s dans les espaces de loisirs sélectifs de la ville globale chinoise. À travers le concept de passing, l’article révèle que si la migration temporaire offre aux jeunes gens des opportunités d’ascension sociale, le coût à payer est l’anxiété du faussaire qui sait son statut acquis difficilement rapatriable.

. The Double Chooz experiment uses two identical detectors placed at sites far and near ...from Chooz reactor cores. The detector uses 390 low-background and high performance 10-in. Photo-Multiplier Tubes (PMTs) to detect scintillation light from gadolinium loaded liquid scintillator. In order to test and characterize the PMTs and to tune operation parameter, we developed two types of PMT test system and evaluated 400
PMTs before installation. Those PMTs fulfilled our requirements and half of them were installed in the far detector in 2009 and physics data have been successfully taken since 2011.
