High reflectivity (
>93.5%) distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs) have been successfully produced using the AlGaN/AlN multilayer stacks materials system by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition ...(MOCVD). The peak reflectance of the DBRs was located at 320
nm. The nominal Al composition is 30%, and the layer thicknesses of the different periods stack were designed for a target wavelength of 330
nm. We present reflectivity, SEM, AFM and XRD data of Al

HL-2M is a new medium-sized tokamak under construction at the Southwestern Institute of Physics, dedicated to supporting the critical physics and engineering issues of ITER and CFETR. Analyzing ...integrated plasma scenarios is essential for assessing performance metrics and foreseeing physics as well as the envisaged experiments of HL-2M. This paper comprehensively presents the kind of expected discharge regimes (conventional inductive (baseline), hybrid and steady-state) of HL-2M based on the integrated suite of codes METIS. The simulation results show that the central electron temperature of the baseline regime can achieve more than 10 keV by injecting 27 MW of heating power with a plasma current of Ip = 3 MA and Greenwald fraction f G = 0.65, with the thermal energy and βN reaching 5 MJ and 2.5, respectively. The hybrid regime with f ni = 80%-90% can be realized at Ip = 1-1.4 MA with f G around 0.5, where βN is 2.3-2.5 with H98(y ,2) = 1.1. Because of the effect of the on-axis NBCD, the hybrid steady state, at Ip = 1.0 and 1.2, can be achieved more easily than the steady state regimes with reversed shear, corresponding to βN = 2.6 and 3.4. Such studies show that HL-2M is a flexible tokamak with a significant capacity for generating a broad variety of plasmas as a consequence of the different heating and current drive systems installed.
We report the first measurement of the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive decay Λc+→KS0X. The analysis is performed using an e+e- collision data sample corresponding to an integrated ...luminosity of 567 pb-1 taken at s = 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector. Using eleven Cabibbo-favored Λ¯c- decay modes and the double-tag technique, this absolute branching fraction is measured to be B(Λc+→KS0X)=(9.9±0.6±0.4)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The relative deviation between the branching fractions for the inclusive decay and the observed exclusive decays is (18.7±8.3)%, which indicates that there may be some unobserved decay modes with a neutron or excited baryons in the final state.

Many important agronomic traits in crop plants, including stress tolerance, are complex traits controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTLs). Isolation of these QTLs holds great promise to improve ...world agriculture but is a challenging task. We previously mapped a rice QTL, SKC1, that maintained K+ homeostasis in the salt-tolerant variety under salt stress, consistent with the earlier finding that K+ homeostasis is important in salt tolerance. To understand the molecular basis of this QTL, we isolated the SKC1 gene by map-based cloning and found that it encoded a member of HKT-type transporters. SKC1 is preferentially expressed in the parenchyma cells surrounding the xylem vessels. Voltage-clamp analysis showed that SKC1 protein functions as a Na+-selective transporter. Physiological analysis suggested that SKC1 is involved in regulating K+/Na+ homeostasis under salt stress, providing a potential tool for improving salt tolerance in crops.

Using data collected with the BESIII detector in e(+)e(-) collisions at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV and corresponding to 6.32 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, we report the ...amplitude analysis and branching-fraction measurement of the D-s(+) -> pi(+)pi(0)eta' decay. We find that the dominant intermediate process is D-s(+) -> rho(+)eta' and the significances of other resonant and nonresonant processes are all less than 3 sigma. The upper limits on the branching fractions of S-wave and P-wave nonresonant components are set to 0.10% and 0.74% at the 90% confidence level, respectively. In addition, the branching fraction of the D-s(+) -> pi(+)pi(0)eta' decay is measured to be (6.15 +/- 0.25(stat.) +/- 0.18(syst.))%, which receives significant contribution only from D-s(+) -> rho(+)eta' according to the amplitude analysis.
To investigate the correlation between TNM staging of primary cholangiocarcinoma and the maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax) of (18)F-2-deoxy-D-glucose positron emission tomography with ...computerized tomography ((18)F-FDG PET/CT).
A retrospective analysis of 36 patients with confirmed primary cholangiocarcinoma from October 2014 to July 2016 was carried out. All the patients underwent preoperative PET/CT in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University from November 2014 to July 2016, the SUVmax was calculated by drawing region of interest around the primitive tumor area.According to the American Cancer Joint Committee (AJCC) guidelines for the clinical staging of intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, the differences of SUVmax were compared in the patients with different age, gender and staging, and the correlation between TNM staging and SUVmax was determined.Data were compared with independent sample
test between groups.

EpsteinBarr virus (EBV) is associated with several malignancies. Specific EBV gene variants, e.g. the Bam HI f configuration, a C-terminal region 30 bp deletion in the latent membrane protein-1 (LMP1) gene ( del-LMP ) and the loss of an Xho I site in LMP1 ( Xho I -loss ), are found in Chinese cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), suggesting that EBV sequence variation may be involved in oncogenesis. In order to understand better the epidemiology of these EBV variants, they were studied in virus isolates from EBV-positive Chinese cases of Hodgkins disease (HD; n =71) and donor throat washings from healthy Chinese. Sequencing was performed of 15 representative EBV isolates, including the first analysis of the LMP1 promoter in Asian wild-type EBV isolates. The following observations were made. (i) Three EBV LMP1 variants were identified, designated Chinese groups (CG) 13. In both EBV-associated HD and in healthy Chinese, CG1-like viruses showing del - LMP1 and Xho I -loss were predominant. (ii) CG1viruses were distinct from European and African variants, suggesting that this profile is useful for epidemiological studies. (iii) Specific patterns of mutations were present in the LMP1 promoter in both CG1 and CG2. (iv) The Bam HI f variant was not found in Chinese HD, in contrast to Chinese NPC and European HD. This study confirms that EBV isolates in Chinese HD and other tumours differ from those reported in Western cases. However, this reflects the predominant virus strain present in the healthy Chinese population, suggesting that these are geographically restricted polymorphisms rather than tumour-specific strains.
