The tertiary education in Taiwan is currently facing declining birthrate and also overseas universities come to Taiwan to recruit some students. Such situations lead to the fact ...that many universities do not have sufficient number of students to sustain. In order to solve the problem of the tough recruitment of students in the future, universities and colleges, in addition to passing the relevant assessment conducted by the Ministry of Education, should actively enhance their service quality to meet international standards, hoping to achieve the international level. Dynamics of rigid bodies mechanisms and finite element method are employed in this thesis to perform the dynamic analysis of a small arms system of mixed rigid bodies ...mechanisms and flexible mount.The equations of motion for a system of constrained rigid bodies can be represented by the Newton-Euler equations of motion and constrain equations which describe the kinematic joints in the system.Then, the finite element method is applied to obtain the equations of motion for the flexible mount. Finally, the total equation of motion for the small arms system can be constructed by the use of the rigid joint connecting to rigid bodies mechanisms and flexible mount to combine the equations of motion for rigid bodies and flexible mount. The 4th order Runge-Kutta algorithm is then to solve the total equation of motion to simulate the transient response of the system during a burst firing.

This thesis proposes a hybrid dimming controller for self-oscillation Royer inverter. The hybrid dimming controller is composed of a dead-time-modulated pulse-width-modulation ...(DTM-PWM) controller and a soft-burst circuit. To reduce leakage current resulted from parasitic capacitance in the lamp, we utilize floating lamp structure with primary-side dimming control in this study. In order to increase the overall system efficiency and reduce EMI resulted from the difference between buck drives frequency and Royer resonant frequency we use the dead-time-modulated pulse-width-modulation controller. Besides, a soft-burst technique is adopted for eliminating the ignition current and voltage spike during dimming process. Comprehensive analysis and design considerations are discussed in detail in this thesis. An inverter is actually designed according to this thesis, which indicates that experimental results are close to the theoretical prediction.
