There are many empirically determined influential factors known to control the organic food purchase behaviour. Of these known factors‐ health, product quality and concern for natural environmental ...degradation are seen as the major motives behind the organic food purchase. We, therefore, attempted to investigate the most prominent reason(s) for buying organic food, using the meta‐analyses of studies published during the last 25 years as our basis for conviction. Multilevel meta‐analyses was applied to the studies in review, in order to find the major reason(s) for the purchase of organic grocery, milk, fruits and vegetables. Although the three motivational factors mentioned above have been echoed throughout the history of organic food purchase research, the health factor has always topped the priority chart. The study in its overall empirical scale contributes to managerial implications and sets an agenda for future research.

Joseph Ravenell, a populationhealth researcher at New York University Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, spoke to Nature about the causes of disparities in prostate cancer outcomes, and ...why important work to provide equal access to care might not eliminate racial inequity by itself. Most disparities are due to social determinants of health - factors such as socioeconomic status, access to care and insurance coverage. The fact that our team still saw significant disparities in treatment in this population means that there are other factors behind these racial differences that need to be investigated.

Some teams have coupled DNA-sequence-based identifiers with gene-editing circuits and fluorescent proteins to detect a cell's molecular and behavioural changes, using flow cytometry, fluorescence ...microscopy or other tools. In a study2 published last year, Obenauf and her colleagues created a library of some 130 million barcodes, each of which was connected to a fluorescent protein, and used them to tag a melanoma cell line so that each cell contained a unique barcode. (The barcodes also contained a short piece of RNA, which the team could use later to guide components of the CR1SPR-Cas9 gene-editing system.) They then injected those tagged cells into mice, causing tumours to grow, and treated half the animals with a compound that inhibits the cancer-promoting version of the BRAF protein. To bridge that gap, Grüner and her colleagues generated distinctly labelled copies of a pancreatic cancer cell line and grew them in 96-well plates.

The extraordinary enhancement in heat transfer efficiency of nanofluids at extremely low volume fractions has attracted a lot of attention in identifying the governing mechanisms. The nanoscale ...effects, Brownian motion (random motion of particles inside the base fluid) and thermophoresis (diffusion of particles due to temperature gradient) are found to be important slip mechanisms in nanofluids. Based on these findings, a set of partial differential equations for conservation laws for nanofluids was formed. Since then, a large number of mathematical studies on convective heat transfer in nanofluids became feasible. The present paper summarizes the studies pertaining to instability of a horizontal nanofluid layer under the impact of various parameters such as rotation, magnetic field, Hall currents and LTNE effects in both porous and non-porous medium. Initially, investigations were made using the model considering fixed initial and boundary conditions on the layer, gradually the model was revised in the light of more practical boundary conditions and recently it has been modified to get new and more interesting results. The exhaustive analysis of instability problems is presented in the paper and prospects for future research are also identified.
Abstract
The comics medium is a powerful tool for communication. It employs the language of both text and images. The placement, interrelationship and transition of panels, speech balloons, gutters, ...lines, script and picture plane are some of the elements that evoke a sense of time and place in comics. The success of comics as an effective medium depends on experiences common to both the creator and audience. In the light of this understanding of the language of comics, and theorisation regarding the ‘production’ of culture, this article analyses the creation procedure of a comic book made to communicate health messages among schoolchildren under a health project run by the directorate of Vector Borne Disease Control Programme in India. I have used pseudo names for all the private institutes and professionals., a private agency contracted by the government for its public health programmes, became the site for this production process. The production involved various ‘actants’33 A. J. Greimas (1983) developed the actantial model where he talked about six actants or facets that define a narrative algorithm. These actants include the subject, the object, the sender, the receiver, the helper and the opponent. This model was further used by Bruno Latour and others in the development of actor–network theory (widely known as ANT) where the focus shifted from action to systems or networks. from the field. It was also constrained by the limits set by the ‘genre’, hence a specific art world. I call the production of such a comic book a ‘creative production’ because it involves a dynamic interplay between the artists’ creativity and the bureaucratic boundaries of the profession of advertising. Following Howard Becker’s idea that artistic production is collective, I describe the detailed contribution of major actors involved in the process of comic book production.
