This research paper explores the transformative power of art within the walls of Mandoli Sub-Jail, located in New Delhi, India. Focusing on the unique initiative of introducing Madhubani art within ...the prison, this study investigates the impact of art therapy on the inmates' mental well-being, skill development, and social reintegration. By examining the process, challenges, and outcomes of this program, the paper highlights the potential of art to inspire personal growth, rehabilitation, and positive change in the lives of incarcerated individuals.
Ayurveda is based on the theory of Trayo-Upsatamba i.e., which refers to the pillars of Ayurveda: Ahara (diet), Nidra (sleep) and Bramhcharya. The key to adhering the first principal of Ayurveda, ...Swasthasya Swasthya Raksham (to sustain a healthy life), is Ahara (nutritious food), or we can say that balanced diet. WHO has declared 2023 “International Year of Millets” with the theme “Harnessing the untapped potential of millets for food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture’’. According to Ayurveda, keeping healthy eating habits can regulate and avoid all ailments. In Ayurveda different Acharya have specified various type of Aahar varga. Millets are described under Kudhanya of Bhavparkash Dhanyavarga (category of cereals). Kshudra dhanya (millets) is a group of small seeded cereals used by humans by ages. Millets (Kshudra dhanya) are drought resistant, serves as a good source of proteins, micronutrient, phytochemicals and gluten free. Due to an imbalance diet of high-calorie, fast foods, there are issues with health that must be resolved on a global scale. The so-called general diseases of present day include obesity, diabetes, cardiac arrest, porous bones and depression etc. This attempt at a review of Kshudra dhanya may be helpful to understand their complete health benefits for daily lifestyle disorders and for balancing the disease condition as well.
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs), also known as anionic clays, are lamellar inorganic solids with a brucite-like structure and consist of positively charged metal hydroxide sheets intercalated by ...anions and water molecules. Choice of LDH is beneficial as it displays properties like simple synthesis procedures, adjustable structure, stability, large surface area, homogeneous positive charge distribution over the surface, interplanar spacing, and versatility to synthesize a variety of composites. Due to these properties LDHs act as efficient adsorbents for wastewater treatment. This review presents a detailed overview of the removal of hazardous organic dyes using different LDHs and LDH-hybrids/composites. The review also incorporates methods of synthesis of various LDHs and composites and the effect of their morphology on dye removal capacity. The effects of adsorption variables such as pH, adsorbent dosage, initial concentration of dye, contact time on the adsorption of these materials are also explained along with adsorption isotherms, kinetics and operative mechanisms. This article incorporates 156 references, majority of which have been taken from the available literature of last 5 years.

After the collapse of the fixed exchange rate system of Bretton Woods, the fluctuations of exchange rate and its impact on macroeconomic performance and trade in countries around the world are ...becoming an increasing debate among researchers and policymakers. This study empirically investigates whether fluctuations in real exchange rate may affect real exports in the Indian context. The study has employed autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) bound test procedure to analyse the long-run relationship among variables using quarterly data from 2005Q1 to 2017Q4. The results of the ARDL bound test reveal that real exports are cointegrated with relative prices, real exchange rate volatility and world real GDP. The study has found negative but insignificant impact of exchange rate volatility on exports, but world GDP as a proxy of foreign economic activity and real effective exchange rate as relative prices have positive and statistically significant impact on Indian manufacturing exports. Further, the ARDL short-run error correction model implies that while the model may temporarily deviate from its long-run equilibrium, the deviations adjust towards the equilibrium level in the long run.

•Carbon-supported bimetallic Pd—Cu alloy nanoparticles (NPs) are reported.•Pd3Cu/C alloy NPs exhibit excellent activity towards FAO reaction and ORR.•Downshift of Pd d-band center ...enhances the electrocatalytic activity.•NPs undergo FAO and ORR via dehydrogenation and direct 4e pathways, respectively.
Tuning composition of Pd-based bimetallic electrocatalysts of high stability and durability is of great importance in energy-related reactions. This study reports the remarkable electrocatalytic performance of carbon-supported bimetallic Pd–Cu alloy nanoparticles (NPs) towards formic acid oxidation (FAO) and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Among various bimetallic compositions, Pd3Cu/C alloy NPs exhibits the best FAO and ORR activity. During FAO reaction, Pd3Cu/C alloy NPs exhibits a peak with a current density of 28.33 mA cm−2 and a potential of 0.2 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) which is higher than that of the other PdCu compositions and standard 20 wt% Pd/C catalyst. Meanwhile, the onset potential (−0.09 V), half-wave potential (−0.18 V), limiting current density at 1600 rpm (−4.9 mA cm−2) and Tafel slope (64 mV dec−1) values of Pd3Cu/C alloy NPs validate its superiority over the conventional 20 wt% Pt/C catalyst for ORR. Experimental and DFT studies have confirmed that the enhanced activity can be attributed to the electronic effect that arises after Cu alloying which causes a downshift of Pd d-band center and structural effect that produces highly dispersed NPs over the carbon matrix with high electrochemically active surface area.

Since prehistoric times, people have been fascinated with colors. From cave paintings to the latest gadgets, color has been a constant companion of humans. Coloring materials aka ‘dyes’ aren’t just ...for fabrics but have been added to various types of food to enhance their appeal. Evidently, this coloring chemicals have their origin in natural products, which later expanded to the huge market of artificial food dyes. Artificial food colorings have been in the controversy for many years and scrutinized for being possibly linked to cancer, allergies and hyperactivity. Globally, natural as well as artificial dyes are being cautiously researched and regulated by the food safety authorities. In India, the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954 (now called the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006), has been implemented for the quality assurance of various types of foods and food products, and only eight dyes have been suggested edible, but within prescribed limits. The present article explores the history and journey of these captivating materials which have been brightening our world for more than 3500 years, along with a detailed overview of their physical and chemical properties, and the usage and toxicity of the eight permissible food dyes in India.
