V prispevku so predstavljene poglavitne značilnosti potovanj turistov iz Slovenije na Madžarsko. Uvodoma je podan pregled ključnih turističnih kazalcev te države, ki se v nadaljevanju podrobneje ...osredotoči na turiste iz Slovenije in njihovo vlogo v strukturi tujih obiskovalcev. Drugi del prispevka povzema glavne izsledke analize spletne ponudbe organiziranih turističnih potovanj, ki jo oglašujejo slovenske turistične agencije. Ponudba je bila predmet prostorske in vsebinske (pogostost pojavljanja oglaševanih destinacij, vrsta storitev, trajanje in cena) analize.
The Croatian Littoral has been the most important tourist destination for tourists from Slovenia for decades. The coastal areas of Istria, Kvarner, and Dalmatia, including the Adriatic islands, ...became widely popular among Slovenes in the period of intense tourism development in the once common state of Yugoslavia. Today Croatia is the destination of as many as 60% of all private trips from Slovenia. In the introduction the affinity of Slovene tourists for travel abroad is supplemented with statistical data on their visits to the Republic of Croatia. In the next sections special emphasis is placed on the number of Slovene tourists and overnight stays, their average length of stay and spatial distribution in the Croatian Littoral in 2007. These data are then compared to those from 1999. The central section of the article consists of a detailed analysis of the content of the internet tourism offer of Slovene travel agencies as presented on their websites. The objects of the analysis were the structure of advertised destinations in the Croatian Littoral across counties and the structure of offer by type of tourist services (summer vacation, travelling/trip, cruising).
The authors discuss wine tourism activities in the context of general tourism development in Slovenia. The country’s winegrowing areas have developed traditionally important viticulture, a relatively ...intensive production of typical grape varieties and in some cases also a distinct entrepreneurial spirit, which consequently reflects in tourism and regional development, based on diverse cultural heritage and natural values. Three Slovene wine regions are divided into nine wine districts with their own identities and more or less distinct terroirs. Despite a several centuries’ long tradition and a rich wine culture, it is evident that in national tourism strategies and development plans, wine tourism still does not occupy the position that it probably deserves, although most of the documents stress its potential for local or regional development. On the other hand, the authors recognize a significant interest among winemakers and tourism professionals for strategic cooperation and systematic approach to develop wine tourism in the selected destinations. The authors therefore focus on some paradoxes and emphasize examples of good practice at the national, regional, and local levels.

This paper investigates the harvest of sea salt in the former Pirano Commune from 1637 to 1744 under the rule of the Venetian Republic. The period from 1645 to 1715 coincides with the so called ...Maunder minimum when minimum solar activity was detected. As the indicator of solar activity the sunspot numbers were used. The paper reviews different historical climate records and presents the results of empirical analysis of possible relationship between solar activity during the Maunder minimum and salt production, as well as its price. The results imply a causal connection between solar activity and salt price series, but the problems with the unreliable and short time series and missing data compelled our research to use statistical methods that might produce inconsistent and spurious results.
We present e-Turist, an intelligent system that helps tourists plan a personalised itinerary to a tourist area, taking into account individual's preferences and limitations. After creating the route, ...e-Turist also offers real-time GPS guidance and audio description of points of interest visited. Here we focus on two main components, the recommender system and the route planning algorithm. We also present some use cases to highlight e-Turist functionalities in different configurations.

Hrvatsko primorje već je nekoliko desetljeća najznačajniju turistička destinacija za turiste iz Slovenije. Priobalna područja Istre, Kvarnera i Dalmacije te jadranski otoci postali su među Slovencima ...iznimno popularni za vrijeme intenzivnog razvoja turizma u bivšoj zajedničkoj državi. Danas je Hrvatska destinacija za čak oko 60% svih privatnih putovanja iz Slovenije. Afiniteti turista iz Slovenije za putovanja u inozemstvo uvodno su dopunjeni statističkim podatcima o posjetu Republike Hrvatske, dok se u nastavku rada posebna pozornost posvećuje broju, noćenjima i prosječnom boravku turista iz Slovenije te njihovu prostornom razmještaju u Hrvatskom primorju u 2007. godini. Istodobno je napravljena i usporedba s 1999. godinom. Središnji dio rada predstavlja analiza sadržaja internetske ponude slovenskih turističkih agencija na njihovim web-stranicama. Predmet detaljnije analize turističke ponude bila je struktura oglašavanih destinacija (primorskih krajeva) po županijama te struktura ponude po vrsti turističkih usluga (ljetovanje, putovanje/izlet, krstarenje).
In Slovene Istria, natural conditions for the development of organic farming are good, though we have only witnessed the rise of organic farming over the last few years. Due to the lack of data ...related to organic farming in Slovene Istria, field-work was conducted in spring 2008 with some additional research in 2009. Questionnaires and interviews with organic farmers include various aspects: characteristics of their farming activities, demographic and socio-economic features, and others. The prevailing branches of organic farms in Slovene Istria are olivegrowing and mixed production. We can also mention a very high educational level of farmers and positive age-structure of households on organic farms. Possible perspectives related to organic farming in the studied area have been discussed in the conclusion of the paper.
