This is quasi-experimental research using a pretest-posttest non-control design and has obtained an ethical approval certificate issued by the hospital ethical committee. A research subject is a group of 25 nurses.
The data test uses the Wilcoxon test to determine the measuring result of handwashing compliance before and after the treatment. The value of p=0.018 (p<0.05) means there is a difference before and after the treatment. As handwashing awareness increases, so does the compliance.
The education of MRSA IPC with directive discourse is effective to improve the handwashing compliance among nurses in the hospitals.

One of ...which is to follow the conduct of cough etiquette.Objective: This research is aimed to analyze the effectiveness of education of cough etiquette module to increase the knowledge about cough etiquette on security and cleaning service officers in hospital.Material and method: This study is a quasi-experiments with pretest and posttest control group design. The samples of this study were taken by using purposive sampling with 24 respondents in the experiment group and 27 respondents in the control group. The data was analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Independent sample T test. Meanwhile, the data was collected by using a questionnaire.Results: The result in this study shows that in the control group, the value of knowledge is p = 0.074 (p > 0.05). In experiment group, the value of knowledge is p = 0.357 (p > 0.05). The result of the control group and the group is p = 0.051 (p > 0.05). The result shows that in the experiment group and in the control group, the comparison between the control and experiment group does not show a significant difference.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is no correlation between knowledge of cough etiquette before and after education.International Journal of Human and Health Sciences Vol. 03 No. 01 January’19. Introduction: Catheter-related urinary tract infections for one-third of all health-care related infections in the United States, and have also been shown to increase morbidity, mortality, and length ...of stay. Various problems are associated with urinary catheter insertion, namely trauma, complications, and patient discomfort. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between catheter placement and the incidence of urinary tract infections in hospitalized patients in Condong Catur Hospital Yogyakarta.
Methods: The design of this study was an analytic observational study using a cross sectional design. The sample was patients diagnosed with UTI for 12 months from August 2019 to July 2020 and inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample selection was done by consecutive sampling. There were 98 samples of inpatients at the Condong Catur Hospital. The data were taken from the medical records of patients who had UTIs or those with a catheter installed.
Results: There are 98 patients in the Condong Catur Hospital, 18 of them have had UTIs, ten of which were caused by catheter insertion. In this study, bivariate analysis was used to compare the two groups with partners and found a significant association between catheter use and urethral infection, with a p-value of 0.001.
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between catheter placement and the incidence of urinary tract infections in hospitalized patients in Condong Catur Hospital.
Background and purpose: Tuberculosis continues to be a concern at the global level. Indonesia is a high-burden country that keeps efforts through TB control programs by implementing a private-public ...mix (PPM) strategy. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PPM in a private hospital using the Generic Implementation Framework approach.
Methods: This study conducted a mixed method approach including quantitative and qualitative analysis of data with explanatory sequential design. The analyzed variables were the assessment elements used in determining hospital accreditation, variables to get an overview of PPM, and achievement of indicators. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while the qualitative with thematic analysis.
Results: The quality of TB control at the hospital was under the accreditation standards. There was an increase in the number of patients treated but uptrend in the number of loss to follow-up patients in the last three years. The success rate of treatment in 2021 has not yet achieved as it was influenced by patients who were lost to follow-up and treatment failure. Supporting factors for the PPM implementation were the script of cooperation, commitment, cooperation, communication, mutual trust, maintained service quality, inter-dependence, and mutual benefit as inhibiting factors related to the management of treatment adherence.
Conclusion: The achievement of program indicators has yet to meet the target. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate regulations, standard operating procedures, and cooperation scripts to reach the standard.
Background: Cleanliness of women’s genitals is related to the menstrual cycle. The education of menstruation with picture media increases women’s awareness to maintain the cleanliness of the external ...genital because picture media shows effects of risk behavior if do not maintain the cleanliness. Women with a better understanding of menstruation often have a safe and clean way to manage their menstrual bleeding. Poor knowledge, attitudes and actions towards external genitalia hygiene in adolescent girls have clinical implications, namely the occurrence of infections in the reproductive system and urinary tract infections. In developing countries, this problem needs more serious attention.Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of education with picture media to increase students’ knowledge and attitudes about maintaining the cleanliness of the external genitalia at Al-Azhar 26 Junior High School Yogyakarta.Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design and uses analytic research with a One Group Pretest- Postest Design. In this study there was no control group, data collection using a questionnaire. The population was made up of Grade VIII students of junior high schools who were actively studying at MTs Al- Azhar 26 Yogyakarta. Respondents came from junior high school students because junior high school students represented teenagers and their intellectual abilities were not much different. The research sample was taken by using a total sampling technique of 60 samples. The treatment procedure was after completing the pre-test, students were given education about external genital hygiene with picture media. After receiving education, students were asked to fill out a post test, after the data was collected, data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon test. Ethical permission for this research from FKIK UMY with number 106/EC-KEPK FKIK UMY/IV/2021.Results: Respondents are 60, aged 12 and 13 years. The mean value of knowledge before intervention is 7,02, the mean value of knowledge after intervention is 13,68. The mean value of the attitude before the intervention was 15.35, the mean value of the attitude after the intervention was 33.23. The results of the test on the level of knowledge of the respondents using the Wilcoxon test obtained a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05), this is a significant result in increasing the level of knowledge of respondents about external genitalia hygiene. The results of the test on respondents’ attitudes using the Wilcoxon test obtained p value = 0.001 (p < 0.05), this is a significant result in increasing respondents’ attitudes about the external genitalia.Conclusion: counseling about genital hygiene is effective in increasing knowledge and attitudes about female genitalia in Yogyakarta. Objective: The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the auditing guidelines for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) infection prevention and control using directive discourse in an attempt to improve compliance with handwashing among nurses in hospitals. Materials and Methods: This was quasi-experimental research using a pretest-posttest noncontrol design. The research subject consisted of a group of 25 nurses. Results: Measurement of handwashing before and after the treatment in the treatment group performed with a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test showed P value before the treatment was 0.200 and after the treatment was 0.200, indicating data were normal. T-test result showed there was a difference in the compliance with handwashing before and after treatment (P = 0.018, P < 0.05). Conclusions: The auditing guidelines for MRSA infection prevention and control using directive discourse were effective for improving compliance with handwashing among nurses in hospitals.

The source obtained was taken from several databases such as Google Scholar, found 7,130 journals, 311,653 ProQuest, 2,318,728 PubMed. Based on the overall database data, only 8 journals met the inclusion criteriaResults: Factors of sexual behavior in adolescents in 8 journals discussing peers, male gender is more likely to engage in sexual behavior compared to women, authoritarian parenting style, parental consent about sexual access and perceptions of norms of people around adolescents themselves, families, school media and the community are significantly related to adolescent sexual experiences.Conclusion: Based on the results of the 8 journals, the factors that greatly influence adolescent sexual behavior are the countryside and the media. These findings have many implications for health workers, especially community educators, to implement and develop interventions to prevent sexual risk behaviors.
Background: The nosocomial infection occurs in patients who are under medical treatments in hospitals or other health facilities, which has not yet occurred at the time of admission. This infection ...can occur as delivering treatments for other diseases; and even after the patients has returned from the hospital.The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of an education about the danger of needlestick to the situational awareness of health workers regarding the needlestick and sharp injuries in hospitals.
Method: This study is a quasi-experiments with pretest and post-test control group design. The samples of this study was collected using purposive sampling with 98 respondents in the experiment group and 29 respondents in the control group. The data were analyzed by Wilcoxon and Independent sample T test. Meanwhile, the data were collected by questionnaires.
Result: The measurement results of the situation awarenessin the control group, mean is 45.31, and SD is 3.57; in the treatment group, mean is 46.77, and SD is 4.04.The differences of the situation awareness of needlestick and sharp objects in the control group, before and after education, is p = 0.981 (> 0.05); the result is not significant. The differences of the situation awareness of needlestick and sharp objects in the treatment group, before and after education, is p = 0.001 (<0.05); the result is significant. The differences of the situation awareness in control group and treatment group, after education, is p = 0.001 (<0.05); the result is significant.
Conclution: The education about the prevention of needlestick and sharp objects on health workers is effective to raise the situation awareness about the danger of needlestick and sharp objects in health workers in hospitals.

Background: Hand washing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, both in hospitals and in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to analyze the ...effectiveness of education about hand washing with a donkey bridge to increase knowledge and attitudes about hand washing in Islamic Terpadu High School students in Kotagede Yogyakarta.Material and Method: This research is a quantitative analytic study with a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test group design approach (Polit and Hungler, 1999). The respondents of this study only consisted of the treatment group without the control group. Wilcoxon nonparametric statistical analysis. Data was collected using a questionnaire, ethical approval from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UMY.Result and Discussion: The results of the statistical test of the difference between pre-test and post-test knowledge about hand washing in the control group obtained a p-value of 0.406 (p> 0.05), there was no difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test on the knowledge of respondents about hand-washing. The results of the statistical test of the difference between the pre test and post test of hand washing attitudes in the treatment group obtained a p value of 0.017 (p < 0.05), this result was significant and there was a significant difference between the results of the pre test and post test on attitudes about hand washing in respondents.Conclusion: Education about hand washing with a donkey bridge is effective in increasing knowledge and attitudes about hand washing in IT SMA students in Kota Gede, YogyakartaInternational Journal of Human and Health Sciences Vol. 06 No. 03 July’22 Page: 328-331
Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is still a health problem globally, including in Indonesia. Geographical and climatic conditions in coastal areas are different from other areas, which may impact ...differences in environmental risk factors for dengue. This study aims to create a prediction model for the incidence of DHF in coastal areas. The research was conducted in Bantul Regency, Indonesia, involving data from 2015-2019. Dengue incidence data were collected from the health office. Climatic data were from climatology station. Data on altitude and shoreline distance were obtained by geographic information system (GIS) processing. Population density and wide settlement area are obtained from the Bureau of Statistics. The geographically weighted regression (GWR) analysis was carried out using GWR4. The results showed that GWR with a weighting of Fixed Bi-Square Kernel obtained an R2 value of 0.7768, better than the global model (R2 0.5254). It indicates that DHF (Y) in Bantul Regency is 77.68% determined by population density (X1), altitude (X2), settlement area (X3), shoreline distance (X4) and rainfall (X5) and the remaining 22.32% are influenced by other variables which are not investigated. Geographically, the predictor variables explain the DHF incidence with a strong category in the central region, and weak in coastal area.
