The pandemic of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has burdened an unprecedented psychological stress on people around the world, especially the medical workforce. The study focuses on assess the psychological status of them. The authors conducted a single-center, cross-sectional survey via online questionnaires. Occurrence of fear, anxiety and depression were measured by the numeric rating scale (NRS) on fear, Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), respectively. A total of 2299 eligible participants were enrolled from the authors’ institution, including 2042 medical staff and 257 administrative staff. The severity of fear, anxiety and depression were significantly different between two groups. Furthermore, as compared to the non-clinical staff, front line medical staff with close contact with infected patients, including working in the departments of respiratory, emergency, infectious disease, and ICU, showed higher scores on fear scale, HAMA and HAMD, and they were 1.4 times more likely to feel fear, twice more likely to suffer anxiety and depression. The medical staff especially working in above-mentioned departments made them more susceptible to psychological disorders. Effective strategies toward to improving the mental health should be provided to these individuals.

We present Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) observations of the massive infrared dark cloud NGC 6334S (also known as IRDC G350.56+0.44), ...located at the southwestern end of the NGC 6334 molecular cloud complex. The H13CO+ and NH2D lines covered by the ALMA observations at a ∼3″ angular resolution (∼0.02 pc) reveal that the spatially unresolved nonthermal motions are predominantly subsonic and transonic, a condition analogous to that found in low-mass star-forming molecular clouds. The observed supersonic nonthermal velocity dispersions in massive star-forming regions, often reported in the literature, might be significantly biased by poor spatial resolutions that broaden the observed line widths owing to unresolved motions within the telescope beam. Our 3 mm continuum image resolves 49 dense cores, whose masses range from 0.17 to 14 M . The majority of them are resolved with multiple velocity components. Our analyses of these gas velocity components find an anticorrelation between the gas mass and the virial parameter. This implies that the more massive structures tend to be more gravitationally unstable. Finally, we find that the external pressure in the NGC 6334S cloud is important in confining these dense structures and may play a role in the formation of dense cores and, subsequently, the embedded young stars.
Hypoxia is a pathogenic characteristic of solid tumors owing to absent or abnormal vasculature in the tumor microenvironment and essential in tumor progression, angiogenesis, metastasis, invasion and ...resistance to immune system and therapy. In hypoxic environments, CYP450 enzymes are more efficient than in normoxia. Herein, based on the reductive capacity of CYP450 enzymes/NADPH system, we managed to cage aminoluciferin developing a reaction-based bioluminescent probe as well as an imaging method for the hypoxia detection. Exhibiting enhanced about 3-fold total flux in big (1.2 cm-diameter) tumors, Hypoxia BioLuminescent probe (HBL) can afford potential utility for in cellulo and in vivo hypoxia imaging in tumor model mice.

In this work, we experimentally investigated the cavitation effects on the hydrodynamic behavior of a circular cylinder at different cavitating flows. We analyzed the cavitation dynamics behind the ...circular cylinder using a high-speed camera and also measured the associated hydrodynamic forces on the circular cylinder using a load cell. We studied the cavitation dynamics around the cylinder at various types of the cavitating regimes such as cloud cavitation, partial cavitation and cavitation inception. In addition, we analyzed the cavitation dynamics at three different Reynolds numbers: 1 × 105, 1.25 × 105 and 1.5 × 105. The results showed that the hydrodynamics force on the circular cylinder can be increased with the formation of the cavitation behind the cylinder compared with the cylinder at cavitation inception regime. The three-dimensional flow caused complex cavitation behavior behind the cylinder and a strong interaction between vortex structures and cavity shedding mechanism. In addition, the results revealed that the effects of the Reynolds number on the cavitation dynamics and amplitude of the shedding frequency is significant. However the effects of the cavitation number on the enhancement of the amplitude of the shedding frequency in the cavitating flow with a constant velocity is slightly higher than the effects of Reynolds number on the enhancement of the amplitude of the shedding frequency at a constant cavitation number.

The target thresholds of teicoplanin blood concentrations in older critically ill patients and non-critically ill patients should be 31.4mg/L and 15.3mg/L, respectively. The dose of teicoplanin in older critically ill patients should be greater than 800 mg to achieve the target blood level.
An individualized dosing approach of teicoplanin based on therapeutic drug monitoring is necessary for older critically ill patients.

Pantetheinase, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchored enzyme, overexpresses in intestine, liver, and kidney with various biological functions such as its linkage to the inflammation and some ...metabolic diseases. It can hydrolyze pantetheine to cysteamine, an antioxidant, and pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) that is an essential component of coenzyme A (CoA). Until now, very few analytic methods were developed for this enzyme, hampering the further investigation of its biological functions. In this work, we report the design, synthesis, and biological examination of a highly sensitive bioluminogenic probe for pantetheinase with a limit of detection of 1.14 ng/mL. Furthermore, animal experiments validated that our probe can be applied to detect the endogenous pantetheinase activity. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first bioluminogenic probe achieving the detection of pantetheinase level in vivo.

Image super-resolution (SR) technology aims to recover high-resolution images from low-resolution originals, and it is of great significance for the high-quality interpretation of remote sensing ...images. However, most present SR-reconstruction approaches suffer from network training difficulties and the challenge of increasing computational complexity with increasing numbers of network layers. This indicates that these approaches are not suitable for application scenarios with limited computing resources. Furthermore, the complex spatial distributions and rich details of remote sensing images increase the difficulty of their reconstruction. In this paper, we propose the pyramid information distillation attention network (PIDAN) to solve these issues. Specifically, we propose the pyramid information distillation attention block (PIDAB), which has been developed as a building block in the PIDAN. The key components of the PIDAB are the pyramid information distillation (PID) module and the hybrid attention mechanism (HAM) module. Firstly, the PID module uses feature distillation with parallel multi-receptive field convolutions to extract short- and long-path feature information, which allows the network to obtain more non-redundant image features. Then, the HAM module enhances the sensitivity of the network to high-frequency image information. Extensive validation experiments show that when compared with other advanced CNN-based approaches, the PIDAN achieves a better balance between image SR performance and model size.

Experimental investigations were conducted to uncover the impact of cavitation control—through the use of biomimetic riblets on cavitating flows around a circular cylinder. First, the dynamics of ...cavitation in the flow behind a finite cylinder (without riblets) was unveiled by visualizing the cavitation clouds and measuring the lift force fluctuations acting on the cylinder. Second, in a significant step forward, a comprehensive explanation was provided for the cavitation control methods using two bio-inspired riblet morphologies positioned in different orientations and locations on the cylinder. For the first time, the impacts of these tiny formations on the flow dynamics and the associated cavitation process were scrutinized. This showed that scalloped riblets, with their curved design, induced secondary vortices near their tips and distorted primary streamwise vortices, and that high velocity gradients near the jagged pattern peaks of sawtooth riblets delayed flow separation, which affected cavitation.
A high-speed dispersion homogenization-assisted alkali fusion-hydrothermal method was successfully developed for the preparation of NaA zeolite molecular sieve with excellent adsorption performance ...for ammonia nitrogen using solid waste fly ash. The zeolite molecular sieve, prepared at a calcination temperature of 700 °C and a crystallization temperature of 80 °C, was identified as NaA zeolite molecular sieve through XRD and SEM tests, exhibiting a uniform and ordered cubic crystal structure. The result of BET analysis indicates that the NaA zeolite molecular sieve has a specific surface area of 288.219 m2/g and a plentiful pore structure. The effect of pH, adsorption time, and initial concentration of ammonia nitrogen on the adsorption capacity of NaA zeolite molecular sieve was also investigated. The fitting analysis of experimental adsorption data using adsorption kinetics and isotherm models indicates that the kinetic adsorption of ammonia nitrogen solution by zeolite molecular sieve follows the second-order kinetic model more closely. The Langmuir model shows a better correlation than the Freundlich model, suggesting that the adsorption of ammonia nitrogen solution by the zeolite molecular sieve is mainly based on the surface-uniform monolayer physical adsorption process. Under the conditions of pH = 7 and an initial ammonia nitrogen concentration of 100 mg/L, the adsorption capacity of the zeolite molecular sieve for ammonia nitrogen within 60 min can reach 27.5 mg/g, showing excellent adsorption performance. This study establishes a vital research foundation for the utilization of fly ash and the treatment of ammonia nitrogen wastewater, with great ecological and social benefits.
