Irradiation damage in nickel alloy C-276 irradiated by 115
keV argon ions at room temperature with irradiation doses from 0.28 to 82.5
dpa has been investigated by transmission electron microscopy. ...Nano-scale black spot damage appeared at a dose higher than 0.83
dpa. Large interstitial-type dislocation loops were observed at the dose of 8.25
dpa. Both the density of dislocation loops and the density of network dislocations grew significantly with the increase of irradiation dose. However, the density of network dislocations declined at the dose of 27.5
dpa. But the total of dislocation density (density of dislocation lines plus density of dislocation loops) kept increasing and no signs of saturation were seen in the dose range explored. The results showed that the nickel alloy C-276 had good performance in delaying the development of black spots, dislocations and dislocation loops. However, original grains have formed into subgrains at the dose of 82.5
dpa, meaning that the grains in C-276 lost its structural integrity at doses higher than 82.5
dpa.

Using e^{+}e^{-} collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb^{-1} recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, we present an ...analysis of the decay D_{s}^{+}→π^{+}π^{-}e^{+}ν_{e}, where the D_{s}^{+} is produced via the process e^{+}e^{-}→D_{s}^{*±}D_{s}^{∓}. We observe the f_{0}(980) in the π^{+}π^{-} system and the branching fraction of the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} with f_{0}(980)→π^{+}π^{-} measured to be (1.72±0.13_{stat}±0.10_{syst})×10^{-3}, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The dynamics of the D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(980)e^{+}ν_{e} decay are studied with the simple pole parametrization of the hadronic form factor and the Flatté formula describing the f_{0}(980) in the differential decay rate, and the product of the form factor f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0) and the c→s Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |V_{cs}| is determined for the first time to be f_{+}^{f_{0}}(0)|V_{cs}|=0.504±0.017_{stat}±0.035_{syst}. Furthermore, the decay D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(500)e^{+}ν_{e} is searched for the first time but no signal is found. The upper limit on the branching fraction of D_{s}^{+}→f_{0}(500)e^{+}ν_{e}, f_{0}(500)→π^{+}π^{-} decay is set to be 3.3×10^{-4} at 90% confidence level.

Tracheal intubation under general anesthesia is more likely to aggravate the injury of the cervical spine and spinal cord. We aim to explore the effect of dexmedetomidine combined with intubating ...laryngeal mask airway (ILMA) on anesthesia and stress response in patients with a cervical spine injury.
One hundred twenty patients were retrospectively allocated into the control group (midazolam + ILMA) and intervention group (dexmedetomidine + ILMA). Their hemodynamics at T1 (before anesthesia induction), T2 (1 minute after anesthesia induction), T3 (immediately after intubation), and T4 (1 min after successful intubation) were also compared.
The heart rate (HR) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group from T3 to T4 (both p = 0.000). Ramsay's score in the observation group was higher than the control group from T3 to T4 (both p= 0.000). No difference was observed in PaO2, PaCO2, and pH between the 2 groups. The level of serum cortisol (COR), plasma epinephrine (E), and norepinephrine (NE) in the observation group were lower than in the control group (p < 0.05) after induction.
Dexmedetomidine combined with ILMA could improve the first intubation success rate and tolerance in patients with cervical spine injury by maintaining stable hemodynamics and reducing the stress response of patients.
To study the efficacy and safety of a low dose of MTX combined with a low dose of methylprednisolone (MP) as a first-line therapy in the treatment of acute GVHD (aGVHD) after allogeneic hematopoietic ...SCT, 32 patients received i.v. MTX at a dose of 10 mg or oral MTX at a dose of 15 mg every 3-7 days (repeated at day 3 after the first dose and then at a weekly interval) combined with a low dose of MP (0.5 mg/kg/day) until a complete or partial response was achieved, or until treatment failure or intolerable side effects occurred. The overall treatment response rate was 81% (26/32 patients) and the response rate at day 28 was 75% (24/32 patients). The response rate for GVHD involving various organs was 88% (23/26) in the skin, 75% (3/4) in the liver and 81% (9/11) in the gut. Grade 3 toxicities occurred in only three patients presenting cytopenias. The estimated survival at 2 years was 77%. From this analysis, MTX in combination with a low dose of MP appears to be a well-tolerated, effective and inexpensive regime when used as a first-line treatment for aGVHD.

BCSC‐1 is dramatically upregulated in CNE‐2L2 human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells with reduced malignancy (AS cells) and is proposed to be a candidate tumor suppressor gene. We therefore examined ...the effect of BCSC‐1 expression on malignant behaviors of CNE‐2L2 cells. Growth in vitro and tumorigenesis in nude mice of wild‐type CNE‐2L2 cells (W cells) were inhibited by ectopic BCSC‐1, and those of AS cells were promoted by BCSC‐1 suppression. The tumor suppressor function of BCSC‐1 was further confirmed by a study showing that intratumor BCSC‐1 injection caused growth suppression of the tumor from W cells inoculated in nude mice. Immunohistochemistry exhibited marked reduction of BCSC‐1 expression in 11 of 39 human nasopharyngeal carcinoma specimens. Because BCSC‐1 expression was as rich as that in normal cells in the rest of the carcinoma specimens and was poor in CNE‐2L2 cells, HNE‐1 human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells with rich BCSC‐1 expression were used as a control in the study. No effect of BCSC‐1 transfection on growth of the cells was observed. The data suggest that BCSC‐1 suppression might play roles in tumorigenesis of some nasopharyngeal carcinomas and that BCSC‐1 might be a potential gene therapy target in nasopharyngeal carcinomas with poor BCSC‐1 expression. Enhanced aggregation of cells together with increased E‐cadherin and α‐catenin expression and reduced Wnt signaling might be involved in the mechanisms of tumor suppressor function of BCSC‐1. To evaluate and compare whole exome sequencing (WES) and targeted panel sequencing in the clinical molecular diagnosis of the Chinese families affected with inherited retinal dystrophies ...(IRDs).OBJECTIVETo evaluate and compare whole exome sequencing (WES) and targeted panel sequencing in the clinical molecular diagnosis of the Chinese families affected with inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs).The clinical information of 182 probands affected with IRDs was collected, including their family history and the ophthalmic examination results. Blood samples of all probands and their relatives were collected and genomic DNA was extracted by standard protocols. The first 91 cases were subjected to the WES and the other 91 cases were subjected to a specific hereditary eye disease enrichment panel (HEDEP) designed by us. All likely pathogenic and pathogenic variants in the candidate genes were determined by Sanger sequencing and co-segregation analyses were performed in available family members. The 30K proteins are involved with important functions in the growth and development of Bombyx mori. In this study, the synthesis and regulation of 30K proteins were examined during the degeneration ...of Bombyx silk glands. On day 3 of the fifth instar, the protein level of 30Kc19 was low, whereas the silk proteins were rapidly synthesized. However, synthesis and accumulation of the 30Kc19 protein significantly increased at the prepupal stage and on day 1 of the pupal stage. At this stage, the silk gland cells were filled with 30Kc19 and genomic DNA. Moreover, the transcript levels of the 30K‐encoding genes, including 30Kc6, 30Kc12, 30Kc19 and 30Kc23 were up‐regulated during the degeneration of the Bombyx silk glands. During the time that the levels of the 30Kc19 protein were significantly up‐regulated, it is notable that the transcript levels of the BmAtg8, BmAtg6 and BmDronc genes dramatically increased to regulate the programmed cell death of this gland. On day 1 of the pupal stage, intense fragmentation of genomic DNA occurred in the silk gland cells, and the putative active form of caspase was detected in the cytoplasm, showing the complete degradation of the silk glands in one day. In conclusion, the 30K proteins are synthesized in high concentrations, while proteolysis mediates silk gland degeneration in Bombyx by a caspase‐dependent pathway. We propose that the 30K proteins may be nutrients and energy vectors to be absorbed by the developing tissues of pupae or moths.

A Low Energy high-intensity high-charge-state ion Accelerator Facility (LEAF), which mainly consists of a 45 GHz superconducting ECR ion source, LEBT and a 81.25 MHz 4-vane RFQ, was designed to ...produce and accelerate heavy ions, from helium to uranium with A/Q between 2 and 7, to the energy of 0.5 MeV/u. The typical beam intensity is designed up to 2 emA CW for the uranium beam. The project was launched in 2015 and has been successfully commissioned with He+ (A/Q=4), N2+ (A/Q=7) beam and accelerated the beams in the CW regime to the designed energy of 0.5 MeV/u. Beam commissioning results of He+ beam have been reported previously. This paper presents the details of N2+ commissioning and beam studies.
Objective: To compare the effects of two administration time strategies for rabbit antihuman thymocyte immunoglobulin (rATG) of 5mg/kg total dose in matched sibling donor hematopoietic stem cell ...transplantation (MSD-HSCT) . Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 32 patients who received MSD-HSCT with 5 mg/kg rATG conditioning regimen at the Department of Hematology of the First Medical Center of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital from October 2020 to April 2022. The patients were classified into two groups: the 4d-rATG group (16 cases), who received antithymocyte globulin (ATG) from day -5 to day -2, and the 2d-rATG group (16 cases), who received ATG from day -5 to day -4. Between the two groups, the transplantation outcomes, serum concentrations of active antithymocyte globulin (ATG) in patients from -4 days to 28 days after graft infusion (+28 days), and the reconstitution of lymphocyte subsets on days +30, +60, and +90 were compared. Results: The cumulative incidences
