The consensus recommendations in 2018 from The Chinese Society of Hematology (CSH) on indications, conditioning regimens and donor selection for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation ...(allo-HSCT) facilitated the standardization of clinical practices of allo-HSCT in China and progressive integration with the world. There have been new developments since the initial publication. To integrate recent developments and further improve the consensus, a panel of experts from the CSH recently updated the consensus recommendations, which are summarized as follows: (1) there is a new algorithm for selecting appropriate donors for allo-HSCT candidates. Haploidentical donors (HIDs) are the preferred donor choice over matched sibling donors (MSDs) for patients with high-risk leukemia or elderly patients with young offspring donors in experienced centers. This replaces the previous algorithm for donor selection, which favored MSDs over HIDs. (2) Patients with refractory/relapsed lymphoblastic malignancies are now encouraged to undergo salvage treatment with novel immunotherapies prior to HSCT. (3) The consensus has been updated to reflect additional evidence for the application of allo-HSCT in specific groups of patients with hematological malignancies (intermediate-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML), favorable-risk AML with positive minimal residual disease, and standard-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia). (4) The consensus has been updated to reflect additional evidence for the application of HSCT in patients with nonmalignant diseases, such as severe aplastic anemia and inherited diseases. (5) The consensus has been updated to reflect additional evidence for the administration of anti-thymocyte globulin, granulocyte colony-stimulating factors and post-transplantation cyclophosphamide in HID-HSCT.

Metal chalcogenophosphates are receiving increasing interest, specifically as promising infrared nonlinear optical (NLO) candidates. Here, a rare‐earth chalcogenophosphate Eu2P2S6 crystallizing in ...the monoclinic noncentrosymmetric space group Pn was synthesized using a high‐temperature solid‐state method. Its structure features isolated P2S64− dimer, and two types of EuS8 bicapped triangular prisms. Eu2P2S6 exhibits a phase‐matchable second‐harmonic generation (SHG) response ≈0.9×AgGaS2@2.1 μm, and high laser‐induced damage threshold of 3.4×AgGaS2, representing the first rare‐earth NLO chalcogenophosphate. The theoretical calculation result suggests that the SHG response is ascribed to the synergetic contribution of P2S64− dimers and EuS8 bicapped triangular prisms. This work provides not only a promising high‐performance infrared NLO material, but also opens the avenue for exploring rare‐earth chalcogenophosphates as potential IR NLO materials.
Eu2P2S6 exhibits excellent NLO properties, including a phase‐matchable second‐harmonic generation (SHG) response ≈0.9×AgGaS2@2.1 μm, and a high laser‐induced damage threshold of 3.4×AgGaS2. Eu2P2S6 is the first NLO‐active rare‐earth‐based chalcogenophosphate.

Tin diselenide (SnSe2) nanosheets as novel 2D layered materials have excellent optical properties with many promising application prospects, such as photoelectric detectors, nonlinear optics, ...infrared photoelectric devices, and ultrafast photonics. Among them, ultrafast photonics has attracted much attention due to its enormous advantages; for instance, extremely fast pulse, strong peak power, and narrow bandwidth. In this work, SnSe2 nanosheets are fabricated by using solvothermal treatment, and the characteristics of SnSe2 are systemically investigated. In addition, the solution of SnSe2 nanosheets is successfully prepared as a fiber‐based saturable absorber by utilizing the evanescent field effect, which can bear a high pump power. 31st‐order subpicosecond harmonic mode locking is generated in an Er‐doped fiber laser, corresponding to the maximum repetition rate of 257.3 MHz and pulse duration of 887 fs. The results show that SnSe2 can be used as an excellent nonlinear photonic device in many fields, such as frequency comb, lasers, photodetectors, etc.

•Ground glass opacities in subpleural regions are the main CT features of COVID-19.•Pulmonary consolidation mostly occurs in critical patient.•Imaging features vary according to disease severity.•CT ...imaging can evaluate the severity and treatment outcome.
To report CT features of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in patients with various disease severity.
The CT manifestations and clinical data of 73 patients with COVID-19 were retrospectively collected in 6 hospitals from Jan 21 to Feb 3, 2020. We analyzed the initial and follow-up CT features of patients with disease severity, according to the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of New Coronavirus Pneumonia.
Six patients (8%) were diagnosed as mild type pneumonia; these patients had no obvious abnormal CT findings or manifested mild changes of lung infection. All 43 patients (59 %) with common type presented unique or multiple ground-glass opacities (GGO) in the periphery of the lungs, with or without interlobular septal thickening. In the 21 patients (29 %) with severe type, extensive GGO and pulmonary consolidation were found in 16 cases (16/21, 76 %) and 5 cases (24 %), respectively. An extensive "white lung", with atelectasis and pleural effusion were found in critical type patients (3, 4%). On the resolutive phase of the disease, CT abnormalities showed complete resolution, or demonstrated residual linear opacities.
Different CT features are seen according to disease severity, which can help COVID-19 stratification.

The effects of HLA-identical sibling donor (ISD) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) on adults with intermediate- or high-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in the first complete remission ...(CR1) are well established. Previous single-center studies have demonstrated similar survival after unmanipulated haploidentical donor (HID) vs ISD HSCT for hematologic malignancies. To test the hypothesis that haploidentical HSCT would be a valid option as postremission therapy for AML patients in CR1 lacking a matched donor, we designed a disease-specific, prospective, multicenter study. Between July 2010 and November 2013, 450 patients were assigned to undergo HID (231 patients) or ISD HSCT (219 patients) according to donor availability. Among HID and ISD recipients, the 3-year disease-free survival rate was 74% and 78% (P = .34), respectively; the overall survival rate was 79% and 82% (P = .36), respectively; cumulative incidences of relapse were 15% and 15% (P = .98); and those of the nonrelapse-mortality were 13% and 8% (P = .13), respectively. In conclusion, unmanipulated haploidentical HSCT achieves outcomes similar to those of ISD HSCT for AML patients in CR1. Such transplantation was demonstrated to be a valid alternative as postremission treatment of intermediate- or high-risk AML patients in CR1 lacking an identical donor. This trial was registered at www.chictr.org as #ChiCTR-OCH-10000940.

One important goal of the current electrocatalysis is to develop integrated electrodes from the atomic level design to multilevel structural engineering in simple ways and low prices. Here, a series ...of oxygen micro‐alloyed high‐entropy alloys (O‐HEAs) is developed via a metallurgy approach. A (CrFeCoNi)97O3 bulk O‐HEA shows exceptional electrocatalytic performance for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), reaching an overpotential as low as 196 mV and a Tafel slope of 29 mV dec−1, and with stability longer than 120 h in 1 m KOH solution at a current density of 10 mA cm−2. It is shown that the enhanced OER performance can be attributed to the formation of island‐like Cr2O3 microdomains, the leaching of Cr3+ ions, and structural amorphization at the interfaces of the domains. These findings offer a technological‐orientated strategy to integrated electrodes.
A new class of bulk electrodes is designed by incorporating oxide microdomains into the so‐called high‐entropy alloys (HEAs). From these, unprecedented oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity is achieved, with an ultralow overpotential of 196 mV and a Tafel slope of 29 mV dec−1, and with stability longer than 120 h in 1 m KOH solution at current density of 10 mA cm−2.

Great efforts have been made to convert renewable biomass into transportation fuels. Herein, we report the novel properties of NbOx‐based catalysts in the hydrodeoxygenation of furan‐derived adducts ...to liquid alkanes. Excellent activity and stability were observed with almost no decrease in octane yield (>90 % throughout) in a 256 h time‐on‐stream test. Experimental and theoretical studies showed that NbOx species play the key role in CO bond cleavage. As a multifunctional catalyst, Pd/NbOPO4 plays three roles in the conversion of aldol adducts into alkanes: 1) The noble metal (in this case Pd) is the active center for hydrogenation; 2) NbOx species help to cleave the CO bond, especially of the tetrahydrofuran ring; and 3) a niobium‐based solid acid catalyzes the dehydration, thus enabling the quantitative conversion of furan‐derived adducts into alkanes under mild conditions.
Fueling fuel production: Biomass conversion into liquid fuel depends on the design of multifunctional catalysts. In the direct conversion of furan‐based aldol adducts into liquid alkanes over a Pd/NbOPO4 catalyst under mild conditions (see scheme), NbOx species played an important role in CO bond cleavage.

Chronic inflammation plays an important role in tumor progression. The aim of this analysis was to evaluate whether inflammatory biomarkers such as the Glasgow prognostic score (GPS), the ...neutrophil‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR), the platelet‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and the lymphocyte‐monocyte ratio (LMR) could predict the prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). In this analysis, pretreatment GPS, NLR, PLR, LMR of 388 patients who were diagnosed as nonmetastatic NPC and recruited prospectively in the 863 Program No. 2006AA02Z4B4 were assessed. Of those, the 249 cases enrolled between December 27th 2006 and July 31st 2011 were defined as the development set. The rest 139 cases enrolled between August 1st 2011 and July 31st 2013 were defined as the validation set. The variables above were analyzed in the development set, together with age, gender, Karnofsky performance score, T stage, and N stage, with respect to their impact on the disease‐specific survival (DSS) through a univariate analysis. The candidate prognostic factors then underwent a multivariate analysis. A nomogram was established to predict the DSS, by involving the independent prognostic factors. Its predction capacity was evaluated through calculating Harrell's concordance index (C‐index) in the validation set. After multivariate analysis for the development set, age (≤50 vs. >50 years old), T stage (T1–2 vs. T3–4), N stage (N0–1 vs. N2–3) and pretreatment GPS (0 vs. 1–2), NLR (≤2.5 vs. >2.5), LMR (≤2.35 vs. >2.35) were independent prognostic factors of DSS (P values were 0.002, 0.008, <0.001, 0.004, 0.018, and 0.004, respectively). A nomogram was established by involving all the factors above. Its C‐index for predicting the DSS of the validation set was 0.734 (standard error 0.056). Pretreatment GPS, NLR, and LMR were independent prognostic factors of NPC. The nomogram based on them could be used to predict the DSS of NPC patients.
Pretreatment Glasgow prognostic score (GPS), NLR, platelet‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), LMR of 388 nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients who were recruited prospectively in the 863 Program No. 2006AA02Z4B4 were assessed. After multivariate analysis of the 249 patients of the development set, age, T stage, N stage, and GPS, NLR, LMR appeared to be independent prognostic factors of 5‐year disease‐specific survival (DSS), and a nomogram was established to predict the DSS based on these factors. The model was validated in 139 patients of the validation set.

Summary
Patients who receive allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT) may develop sepsis, which result in a highly intensive care unit admission rate and mortality. Therefore, ...short‐term and long‐term prognostic models for sepsis after allo‐HSCT are urgently needed. We enrolled patients receiving allo‐HSCT who developed sepsis after allo‐HSCT at Peking University People's Hospital between 2012 and 2021, including 287 patients who received allo‐HSCT in 2018–2021 in the derivation cohort, and 337 patients in 2012–2017 in the validation cohort. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify prognostic factors, and these identified factors were incorporated into two scoring models. Seven independent factors (acute graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD), chronic GVHD (cGVHD), total bilirubin, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and organ dysfunction renal, lung and heart) were included in the 6‐month prognostic model, and six factors (cGVHD, C‐reactive protein, LDH, organ dysfunction lung, neurologic and coagulation) were included in the 14‐day prognostic model. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curves, calibration plots and decision curve analysis demonstrated the robust predictive performance of the models, better than the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score. Early identification of patients with high risk of 6‐month and 14‐day death may allow clinicians to provide timely treatments and improve the therapeutic effects.
A prognostic system, including a 6‐month prognostic model and a 14‐day prognostic model, was developed to help recognize sepsis with allo‐HSCT with a high risk of poor outcome. The two prognostic models were demonstrated to have good predictive performance and help identify patients with high risk.
