The absorption-stabilization process (ASP), an important part of petroleum refinery used in the end-use products of petroleum (such as stable gasoline, liquid petroleum gas, and dry gas), is ...energy-intensive and has low product quality. Aspen Plus process simulator was used for the development of the ASP process model. The developed process model was validated with the actual plant data. The validated model was used to optimize to minimize the cost of the ASP. This work shows that the optimization analysis of the ASP can further improve the product quality and reduce thermal energy consumption. In the new process, changing feeding parameters of supplementary absorption oil, stripping tower intermediate reboiler, and feeding position of stabilization tower reduced the C
3
contents of dry gas considerably and lowered the C
2
and lighter contents of LPG. Additionally, the new process saved 1.32 MW of thermal energy consumption compared with the existing process. The operating cost has been reduced from 10.921 million USD annually to 9.830 million USD per year. Furthermore, the cost-saving effect of this optimization is about 9.99% (1.091 million USD per year).

Background:
miRNAs have been reported to participate in various diseases. Nevertheless, the expression patterns of miRNA in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)-induced kidney injury remain poorly ...characterized. In the current study, miRNA sequencing (miRNA-seq) was conducted to investigate miRNA expression profiles in a chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH)-induced renal injury mouse model.
Methods:
The mouse model of chronic intermittent hypoxia was established. Differentially expressed miRNAs (DEmiRs) were detected using miRNA-seq technology. The sequencing data were subjected to Gene Ontology (GO) functional enrichment and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analyses using a bioinformatics approach. RT-qPCR was further used to evaluate the sequencing results. Finally, we created a network for clarifying the relationship between the miRNAs and target genes.
Results:
In total, nine miRNAs were identified to be upregulated and nine to be downregulated in a mouse model of renal injury induced by chronic intermittent hypoxia. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses revealed that the Wnt signaling pathway was involved in the development of chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced renal injury. Subsequently, eight DEmiRs, namely, mmu-miR-486b–3p, mmu-miR-215–5p, mmu-miR-212–3p, mmu-miR-344–3p, mmu-miR-181b-1-3p, mmu-miR-467a–3p, mmu-miR-467 d-3p, and mmu-miR-96–5p, showed a similar trend of expression when verified using RT-qPCR. Finally, five selected DEmiRs were used to construct a miRNA–mRNA network.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, a total of 18 DEmiRs were identified in the mouse model of chronic intermittent hypoxia-induced renal injury. These findings advance our understanding of the molecular regulatory mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of obstructive sleep apnea-associated chronic kidney disease.
Superamphiphobic surfaces with a rapid ability to autorepair from multiple damages are desirable for long-lived self-cleaning coatings. Previous studies have almost introduced such a self-healing ...surface against chemical or physical damage, however, the regeneration is out of work as stain accumulates over time. Herein, a low-maintenance superamphiphobic coating based on a smart two-layer self-healing network has been presented. The coated fabric can withstand at least 200cycles of abrasion under a pressure of 45kPa and strongly resist to UV radiation, boiling treatment, strong acid/base immersion and smudge treatment, without apparently changing the superamphiphobicity. Besides physical and chemical damages, the coating can even rapidly retain its super liquid-repellence against a long-term accumulation of smudge by using a short heating treatment. Such a rapid and multiple self-healing ability resulting from the smart two-layer network may be useful for the development of low-maintenance protective coatings.

Catalytic hydrolysis of ammonia borane has tremendous potential as an energy-efficient approach to supply hydrogen for energy vehicles and portable electronic devices. Herein, DFT calculation is ...first performed on electronic properties of Ni2P and Ni5P4 nanocatalysts. It is found that more electrons are transferred from Ni to P for Ni5P4, indicating that Ni5P4 may show superior performance based on the electron effect. Therefore, Ni2P and Ni5P4 with high purity are synthesized by the phase-controlled thermal decomposition approach. Gratifyingly, the Ni5P4 catalyst exhibits the as-expected better catalytic activity than that of Ni2P catalyst. It also shows low activation energy and good stability. Furthermore, the structures and morphologies of both catalysts are characterized by multi-techniques such as XRD, HRTEM and XPS. The better performance could be ascribed to the higher positive charge of Ni together with the stronger ensemble effect of P. The insights sheds new light on the design of efficient NiP catalysts for hydrogen generation.

We demonstrate a new concept for an all-fiber inclinometer based on a tapered fiber Bragg grating (tFBG) in a fiber ring laser (FRL) with the capability of measuring the tilt angle and temperature ...simultaneously. The sensor performance is analyzed theoretically and investigated experimentally. The dependence of tilt angle on the spectral response in variable temperature conditions was measured. Two inclinometers with different lengths have been fabricated and characterized in FRL. The sensitivity is 0.583 dB/° and 0.849 dB/°, respectively, in the range of 0° to 90°. Thanks to the FRL system, narrow 3-dB bandwidth (<0.1 nm) and high optical signal-to-noise ratio (~60 dB) are achieved. The tFBG in the FRL system can be used for working as a temperature insensitive inclinometer. The results suggested that the proposed inclinometer has the advantages of compact size and convenient manufacture, enhancing its potential for application prospect.

Pt@g-C3N4/CeO2 photocatalyst was prepared by calcination of g-C3N4/CeO2 mixture followed by impregnating Pt. Under the irradiation of visible light with the presence of water vapor at room ...temperature, Pt@g-C3N4/CeO2 showed significant performance for remediation of NOx. The deNOx mechanism was studied by modified in-situ FTIR. The results proved that NO was prone to adsorb on the surface of Pt@CeO2 and oxidized to nitrite for storage. Then, the photoinduced hydrogen on Pt@g-C3N4 component could diffuse into the vicinity of nitrite through the spillover effect of Pt and reacted with nitride to produce N2 and H2O.

Rapid urbanization has brought a range of urban environmental problems that could be harmful to human thermal comfort and health. Urban parks can improve outdoor thermal comfort significantly because ...of its cooling island effect. However, outdoor thermal comfort is difficult to predict because of its complex nature and there was rare research focused on human physiological thermal responses in different green spaces of urban parks. In this study, thermal comfort of 52 participants were evaluated based on questionnaire survey and physiological parameters measurements including skin temperature (SKT), oxygen saturation (SaO2), heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV) under different green spaces in parks, simultaneously with microclimate measurements. According to the regression analysis, physiological parameters were found having high accuracy in predicting human outdoor thermal comfort, with R2 were 0.803 for SKT, 0.830 for HRV, 0.767 for HR, 0.711 for SaO2 respectively. Results demonstrated that these four physiological parameters were sensitive to microclimate changes and human outdoor comfort thermal state can be captured by monitoring them with reasonable accuracy. This research can provide reference to evaluate outdoor thermal comfort by incorporating the physiological parameters, which can also provide a design basis for creating thermal comfortable outdoor spaces in urban parks.

The transcription factor SOX11 is a tumor-associated antigen with low expression in normal cells, but overexpression in glioblastoma (GBM). So far, conventional surgery, chemotherapy, and ...radiotherapy have not substantially improved the dismal prognosis of relapsed/refractory GBM patients. Immunotherapy is considered a promising strategy against GBM, but there is a fervent need for better immunotargets in GBM. To this end, we performed an in silico prediction study on SOX11, which primarily yielded ten promising HLA-A*0201-restricted peptides derived from SOX11. We defined a novel peptide FMACSPVAL, which had the highest score according to in silico prediction (6.02 nM by NetMHC-4.0) and showed an exquisite binding affinity to the HLA-A*0201 molecule in the peptide-binding assays. In the IFN-γ ELISPOT assays, FMACSPVAL demonstrated a high efficiency for generating SOX11-specific CD8
T cells. Nine out of thirty-two healthy donors showed a positive response to SOX11, as assessed by the ELISPOT assays. Therefore, this novel antigen peptide epitope seems to be promising as a target for T cell-based immunotherapy in GBM. The adoptive transfer of in vitro elicited SOX11-specific CD8
T cells constitutes a potential approach for the treatment of GBM patients.

Waterborne polymer-cement coatings have been widely applied in building materials due to their organic solvent-free nature, low cost, and eco-friendliness. However, these coatings can easily crack ...during the drying process as a result of construction environment factors, compromising the barrier performance of the coating and limiting its large-scale application. In this study, a dual-shell self-healing microcapsule was developed, which can effectively heal damage on a macro scale in waterborne polymer-cement coatings. Specifically, this dual-shell self-healing microcapsule was designed with a silica gel shell and a tannic acid-cuprum (TA-Cu) double-shell structure embedded with an epoxy resin (EP) healing agent, which was successfully fabricated via a two-step in situ polymerization. This silica gel shell self-healing microcapsules can effectively load into waterborne polymer-cement coatings. As the coating dries and solidifies, the silica gel shell of the microcapsule also becomes loose and brittle due to dehydration. This improves the mechanical initiation efficiency of the microcapsules in the coating. This study provides a novel approach for the application of self-healing microcapsules in waterborne coating systems, which can significantly reduce cracking during the drying process of waterborne polymer-cement coatings and improve the service life of the coating under complex conditions.
