Recently, stereo matching algorithms based on end-to-end convolutional neural networks achieve excellent performance far exceeding traditional algorithms. Current state-of-the-art stereo matching ...networks mostly rely on full cost volume and 3D convolutions to regress dense disparity maps. These modules are computationally complex and high consumption of memory, and difficult to deploy in real-time applications. To overcome this problem, we propose multilevel disparity reconstruction network, MDRNet, a lightweight stereo matching network without any 3D convolutions. We use stacked residual pyramids to gradually reconstruct disparity maps from low-level resolution to full-level resolution, replacing common 3D computation and optimization convolutions. Our approach achieves a competitive performance compared with other algorithms on stereo benchmarks and real-time inference at 30 frames per second with 4×10
4
resolutions.

To estimate the direction of arrival (DOA) of a linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal in a low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) hydroacoustic environment by a small aperture array, a novel deconvolved ...beamforming method based on fractional Fourier domain delay-and-sum beamforming (FrFB) was proposed. Fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) was used to convert the received signal into the fractional Fourier domain, and delay-and-sum beamforming was subsequently performed. Noise resistance was acquired by focusing the energy of the LFM signal distributed in the time-frequency domain. Then, according to the convolution structure of the FrFB complex output, the influence of the fractional Fourier domain complex beam pattern was removed by deconvolution, and the target spatial distribution was restored. Therefore, an improved spatial resolution of DOA estimation was obtained without increasing the array aperture. The simulation and experimental results show that, with a small aperture array at low SNR, the proposed method possesses higher spatial resolution than FrFB and frequency-domain deconvolved conventional beamforming.

In recent years, research work on auxetic textile materials has become more and more popular. Helical auxetic yarns realize a negative Poisson’s ratio effect at the yarn level, wherein the braided ...auxetic yarns are prepared to realize the structural stability of the auxetic yarns. However, the degree of the elongation auxetic effect has not been solved. In this paper, composite braided auxetic yarns and re-braided auxetic yarns were successfully fabricated by a ring spinning machine and a high-speed braiding machine, and the Poisson’s ratio curves of the two yarns were tested by image analysis. Through the measurement of the Poisson’s ratios of these two yarns, the experimental results show that they both have a good negative Poisson’s ratio effect, and the degree of auxetic effect increases correspondingly. The composite braid technology makes the auxetic yarns retain the original auxetic effect while the degree of auxetic effect was increased. The preparation of these two kinds of auxetic yarns provides a certain experimental basis for the development of auxetic textile materials in the future, and also provides more improvement ideas for scholars.

The main content of this article theoretically analyzes the yarn diameter and Poisson's ratio variation of braided auxetic yarns under axial strain. Braided auxetic yarns are composed of three ...components: wrap yarns, the core yarn, and the stiff yarn. The core yarn has a larger diameter and smaller elastic modulus than the other two kinds of yarns, but its rigidity is lower. There is a lack of theoretical basis for predicting the Poisson's ratio of braided auxetic yarn. Based on the geometric model, the curve of the Poisson's ratio has been determined and the Poisson's ratio trend of braided auxetic yarns is deduced, aiming to predict the Poisson's ratio of braided auxetic yarns under axial strain with accurate yarn parameters. The experimental results show that the minimum Poisson's ratio of theoretical value and actual value appears under the same axial strain, and the variation trend of Poisson's ratio of both values is consistent. The Poisson's ratio curve of braided auxetic yarns is predicted, which lays a theoretical foundation for the development of auxetic materials and also provides more possibilities for subsequent research.

There are few reports on the lymph nodes of entrance point to recurrent laryngeal nerve (LN-epRLN) in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Thus, we investigated the clinical significance ...of LN-epRLN and implications it may have. An observational analysis of 878 consecutive patients with PTC who underwent thyroidectomy from April 2016 to March 2017 was conducted. We explored the surrounding tissue of laryngeal entry point, during routine central lymph node dissection (CLND). The lymph node specimens were sent separately for routine histopathological examination. Thereafter, complications and follow-ups were recorded. LN-epRLNs were found in 73 of the 878 patients, with the metastatic rate of 3.76%. Univariate and multivariate analysis showed central lymph node metastases can serve as independent predictors for LN-epRLN metastasis. In summary, we confirmed the significance of LN-epRLN in metastasis and recurrence, which required precise anatomy and thorough CLND. In PTC patients, especially in suspicious presence of central cervical lymph node metastasis, attention should be given to excising the nodal tissue at the laryngeal entry point.

Thyroid transcription factor‐1 (TTF‐1), also known as NKX2‐1, plays a role as a lineage‐survival oncogene in lung adenocarcinoma that possesses double‐edged sword characteristics. Although evidence ...from previous studies has steadily accumulated regarding the roles of TTF‐1 in transcriptional regulation of protein‐coding genes, little is known about its regulatory relationship with microRNAs. Here, we utilized an integrative approach designed to extract maximal information from expression profiles of both patient tumors in vivo and TTF‐1‐inducible cell lines in vitro, which identified microRNA (miR)‐532‐5p as a novel transcriptional target of TTF‐1. We found that miR‐532‐5p is directly regulated by TTF‐1 through its binding to a genomic region located 8 kb upstream of miR‐532‐5p, which appears to impose transcriptional regulation independent of that of CLCN5, a protein‐coding gene harboring miR‐532‐5p in its intron 3. Furthermore, our results identified KRAS and MKL2 as novel direct targets of miR‐532‐5p. Introduction of miR‐532‐5p mimics markedly induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant as well as KRAS wild‐type lung adenocarcinoma cell lines. Interestingly, miR‐532‐5p showed effects on MEK‐ERK pathway signaling, specifically in cell lines sensitive to siKRAS treatment, whereas those miR‐532‐5p‐mediated effects were clearly rendered as phenocopies by repressing expression or inhibiting the function of MKL2 regardless of KRAS mutation status. In summary, our findings show that miR‐532‐5p is a novel transcriptional target of TTF‐1 that plays a tumor suppressive role by targeting KRAS and MKL2 in lung adenocarcinoma.
By applying an integrative approach combining in vitro with in vivo data, we identified miR‐532‐5p as a novel transcriptional target of TTF‐1/NKX2‐1, which regulates miR‐532‐5p independent of its host gene CLCN5. Furthermore, we showed that miR‐532‐5p directly represses oncogenic KRAS and MKL2 and causes apoptosis in lung adenocarcinoma cells.

The AutoDock is a widely used protein-ligand docking simulation platform which is a simulator to bring the field of computer-aided drug design (CADD) conveniences. The protein-ligand docking problem ...is of great significance to design more effective and ideal drugs. In order to solve the protein-ligand docking problem more effectively, we propose an improved fireworks algorithm called FWADOCK. FWADOCK utilizes the position updating information of fireworks with the best fitness value to determine the shape of the fireworks and the distribution of sparks. During the process of searching for the optimal solution, it is also considered that the diversity of understanding and how to avoid premature convergence of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm is tested on some benchmark test cases of protein-ligand docking problems and compared with some other related algorithms from different perspectives on the AutoDock platform. The results show that FWADOCK has a competitive performance in solving the protein-ligand docking problem.

In large substations, many lightning rods are installed on multi-grounded frames. The lightning rods, the frame, the grounding grid and the soil form a whole body, and the lightning current will be ...discharged from many grounding points. In this paper, based on the partial element equivalent circuit method, a numerical model, in the time domain, is developed to simulate the lightning-caused electromagnetic transients on the frame and the grounding grid. The model is verified by field testing and by comparison with commercial software. The model has several features: (1) it has a simple time domain form; (2) it is stable due to a staggered arrangement of space and time variables and an implicit difference scheme used, and (3) the dimension of the equations is relatively small because the unknown variables are divided into several groups, which are calculated one by one. With this method, the transient characteristics of the grounding grid with lightning rods on the frame are calculated, and the factors affecting the results are analyzed. It can be seen that although the frame causes the ground potential rise in an evenly distributed manner, compared with the situation in which the lightning strikes an independent lightning rod, the ground potential decrease rate near the main grounding point is almost the same because most of the current still enters the soil from the grounding electrode closest to the lightning strike. Therefore, even if there is a frame, the nearby facilities should take the same protective measures as in the case of an independent lightning rod. The ground conductors near the grounding points of the frame should be dense enough to reduce the potential gradient. The equipment should be kept at least 10 m away from the grounding point for lightning.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) is a malignant cancer with high incidence and mortality. Glycometabolic rearrangements (aerobic glycolysis) is a hallmark of PAAD and contributes to tumorigenesis and ...progression through numerous mechanisms. This study aimed to identify a novel glycolysis-related lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA signature in PAAD and explore its potential molecular function. We first calculated the glycolysis score for each PAAD patient by the ssGSEA algorithm and found that patients with higher hallmark glycolysis scores had poorer prognosis. Subsequently, we obtained a novel glycolysis-related LINC02432/hsa-miR-98–5p/HK2 axis from the TCGA and GEO databases using comprehensive bioinformatics analysis and developed a nomogram to predict overall survival. Furthermore, functional characterization analysis revealed that LINC02432/hsa-miR-98–5p/HK2 axis risk score was negatively correlated with ferroptosis. The tumor immune infiltration analysis suggested positive correlations between ceRNA risk score and infiltrated M0 macrophage levels in PAAD. Correlation analysis found that ceRNA risk scores were positively correlated with four chemokines (CXCL3, CXCL5, CXCL8 and CCL20) and one immune checkpoint gene (SIGLEC15). Meanwhile, tumor mutation burden (TMB), an indicator for predicting response to immunotherapy, was positively correlated with ceRNA risk score. Finally, the drug sensitivity analysis showed that the high-risk score patients might be more sensitive to EGFR, MEK and ERK inhibitors than low-risk score patients. In conclusion, our study suggested that LINC02432/hsa-miR-98–5p/HK2 axis may serve as a novel diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic target in PAAD treatment.
In recent years, three kinds of auxetic yarns have mainly been developed, namely helical auxetic yarns based on the ring spinning system and the hollow spindle system and braided auxetic yarns based ...on the braiding system. However, these auxetic yarns have some drawbacks, such as an unstable structure or no obvious auxetic effect. In this paper, auxetic yarns were successfully braided by wrap filaments and a core filament based on a braiding system, which overcame the slippage problem in the traditional helical yarn structure. Yarns were spun by different structural parameters of the core filament, the wrap filaments and braiding filament, including the diameter ratio, braiding speed and different numbers of wrap filaments. The results showed that all parameters have an impact on the Poisson’s ratio of auxetic yarns and, in addition, the braided auxetic yarns can cause the yarns to be in the pre-stretching state; once the stretching effect occurs, the Poisson's ratio will directly change from a negative value. Since the new auxetic yarns were produced using a high-speed braiding machine and filaments, this would pave the way for their mass production. This provides a certain research basis for mass production of the stable auxetic yarn structure, and based on the realization of the pre-stretching state, it also provides more possibilities for future research.
