The occurrence of problems regarding operating procedures that are not suitable for heavy equipment in the field is one of the causes of component life which is not maximally achieved. Therefore it ...is necessary to have an innovation to make it easier to monitor and operate heavy equipment, especially when there is a shift in work shift for heavy equipment operators. Operator experience in several mining activities, many operators shut down the engine suddenly so that the impact on the engine can cause over heating which results in excessive wear and will have an impact on engine performance. And therefore the purpose of design a microcontroller-based cooling down safety device is a tool that functions to turn off the engine when the engine is low idle with time settings according to the standard operating procedure of each machine. For machines that have been operated under load, the engine must be low idle / cooling down for a while, so that the heat on the engine surface is cool enough, so that hot components can be properly lubricated. By design a cooling down engine safety device, it is hoped that it can assist in the monitoring and operation of heavy equipment. From the results of field testing, the relay that controls the unit's electricity functions properly and the cooling down safety device has a precise timing.
Scheduling is needed to anticipate the clash of lecture hours for lecturers in teaching. Some things that need to be considered when arranging a lecture schedule are lecturers, rooms, courses, hours, ...and days. In this study, the scheduling system uses the Euclidean Distance method by modifying the algorithm. The aim of this study is to prove the Euclidean distance method in the course planning system in universities. In general, to obtain data that will be used in the scheduling system, observations, interviews and bibliographic studies are carried out. From the research results, the lecture scheduling system using the Euclidean Distance method can be used in the scheduling system, especially lecture scheduling. This is proven, that the lecture scheduling system using the Euclidean Distance method does not have a schedule for lecturers who teach more than one course at the same time (collide).
Waiting on the queue system is something commonly experienced in life daily. However, actual waiting in queue system may cause discomfort for the individual and an economic cost for the company. PT. ...XYZ is a company providing facility Suzuki car maintenance in Makassar. The study was conducted to address the problems faced by PT. XYZ, namely: (a) Is the service available capacity is still inadequate, and (b) Does the customer need not wait a long time to receive a service. This problem was analyzed using queue theory, PT. XYZ has not been forced to increase its operating capacity, for example, be 5 Team Mechanics. The conclusion drawn on the basis, which the car does not need more time to waiting, be served. The service time is relatively short. The use of time in service activity have a fairly large proportion (98.54%) and only 1: 46% of the time spent by the customer's waiting car maintenance services. The number of cars lined up waiting for their turn in the service (Lq) and the number of cars in the system, the queue to serve plus being served (Ls) is relatively small. Likewise Old cars lined up waiting service (Wq) and Old cars are in the system, queue time plus time served (Ws). The results showed that customers can be served satisfactorily at PT. XYZ.
This study examines the effect of leadership style, work motivation, and organizational culture on job satisfaction and employee performance. And then, to examine the effect of job satisfaction on ...employee performance and to examine the effect of leadership style, work motivation, and organizational culture on employee performance is mediated by job satisfaction at the Regional Secretariat Office of Regency / City in South Sulawesi. In this study, questionnaires were distributed and documented collection, using descriptive statistical analysis methods, SEM analysis of Amos. The results of this study found that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Organizational culture has no positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has no positive and significant effect on employee performance; job satisfaction positively and significantly affects employee performance. Job satisfaction can mediate the influence of leadership style on employee performance. Employee job satisfaction can mediate the effect of work motivation on employee performance. Job satisfaction cannot mediate the influence of organizational culture on employee performance.
In the process of construction work, operators need accuracy in the process of finishing land leveling works such as road highway building, land reclamation, large commercial, landfill installation, ...so as to increase productivity. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to manufacture and implement a ground leveling finishing tool using Arduino IDE software and Atmega 328 microcontroller on the Dozer D3K Caterpillar heavy equipment unit. The placement of a series of components from the Grade Monitoring Assist includes the ultrasonic sensor on the lift cylinder, gyro and accelerometer at the top center of the blade, as well as a display that displays the results of parameter readings. Connections between components in Grade Monitoring Assist are cables that integrate all installed components. The results of testing the movement of the blade up and down position to get an accuracy value of 97.30% and an error of 2.70%. While the movement of the blade down position has an accuracy value of 96.50% and an error of 2.50%. And Tests by moving the blade according to the implement movement angle at the maximum blade angle position (either side) with an average error value of 1.48o, cutting ditches (angle V) an average error value of 0.676o
Design and manufacture of this simulator aims to explain how the movement of the differential components. The components of this differential simulation consist of a differential case, pinion gear or ...spider gear, side gear, spider shaft, electric motor, pulley, v-belt and dimmer (motor speed controller). The method used in making this simulator is to start by first making a simulator design and then continuing with the collection of tools and materials needed. From testing the components of the simulator tool which was carried out for 50 minutes, it was found that every 10 minutes the temperature increased due to the lubrication system that was not maximized. Tests to determine the correlation between the dimmer and the RPM of the electric motor, it was found that any decrease in the resistance value will result in an increase in the RPM value of the electric motor. These results also show that the maximum value of the motor RPM after being assembled is 1435 RPM. Then the test when given a load found that the shaft axle rotation speed of the differential will change if there is a load on one side. From this test, it can be seen that there is an increase in the RPM value on the side of the shaft axle which rotates freely when the other shaft is given a load. With this simulator, it can also provide an overview of how the movement of the differential gears contained in the axle of a unit vehicle so that you can understand how it works
The alternator plays an important role in supplying the battery, lighting accessories and turning on the unit at the time of starting, therefore it needs more attention to it. Damage can occur at any ...time, and finding the problem with it presents its own challenges. Equipment such as a multimeter/avometer is needed to analyze the damage. Visual inspection, testing, and measurement are steps that must be taken to be able to find damage that occurs in the alternator. The charging system can be disrupted if there is an operational problem with the alternator component. This can be identified through an examination of the damage that occurred. Maintenance/maintenance on the components of the charging system must be carried out periodically so that the electricity supply remains optimal.
