A new intelligent methodology in bearing condition diagnosis analysis has been proposed to predict the status of rolling bearing based on vibration signals by multi class support vector machine ...(MSVM), a classification algorithm. Wavelet packet transform (WPT) is used for signal processing and standard statistical feature extraction process. Feature reduction is a method used to deselect the irrelevant features acquired from the large dataset. Recent survey shows feature reduction is used widely in the field of machine learning to discover the knowledge with reduced features. Rough set is hybridized with particle swarm optimization (PSO), an population based stochastic optimization technique, to reduce the features. The efficiency of classification algorithm is compared based on their classification accuracy before and after feature reduction. Four states of bearing health conditions such as normal, defective inner race, defective outer race and defective ball conditions are simulated and used in this proposed work.

This paper discusses the preparation and characterization of biocomposite lignin (Lg) derived from Artocarpus heterophyllus- chitosan (CS) (Lg-CS) for biomedical applications. To develop enhanced ...physico-chemical and biological properties of CS was combined with the Lg at 1, 3, and 5 wt% concentrations. Fourier transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) outcomes suggest the presence of hydrogen bonding between CS and Lg, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) pictures reveal that Lg was uniformly dissolved in CS. As a result of effective interface and uniform dispersion, the mechanical stability of CS has been significantly enhanced due to the presence of Lg. The bio-compatibilities of the Lg-CS towards NIH 3t3 cells were also investigated in cell propagation analyzer after day 3. The results of the above study reveal that the Lg-CS bio-composites bandages are found to transmit the most convenient surrounding for the advancement of NIH 3t3 cells. The results suggest that the fabricated bio-composites materials shall be suitable for applications as wound healing and dressing materials.

<正>Objective:In vitro antioxidant activities of three selected Indian seaweeds viz.,Halimeda tuna(H.tuna),Turbinaria conoides(T.conoides) and Gracilaria foliifera(G.foliifera) were ...evaluated.Methods:Total antioxidant activity, total phenolic content, and reducing power of crude methanol and diethyl ether extracts were determined. Results:Total phenolic content and total antioxidant activity were higher(1.231±0.173 mg GAE/g,1.675±0.361 mg GAE/g) in T.conoides respectively.Reducing power of crude methanol extract increased with concentrations of the extract. The Fourier transform-infra red spectrum analysis revealed the presence of polyphenolic signals. The seaweed extracts displayed moderate antioxidant activity compared to gallic acid standard. Conclusions:The seaweeds could be considered for curing diseases from oxidative deteriorations.

Big data in mortality prediction is rationed with enormous amount of dataset of patients admitted in ICU for the healthcare providers to clarify and interpret about the status of the patients. ...However, it is difficult to process these large datasets for which big data is used. Mortality prediction of patients admitted in ICU faces many challenges such as imbalance distribution, high dimensionality etc. This paper focuses on overcoming the challenges that arise during the prediction of mortality of ICU patients through pre-processing, feature selection, feature extraction, and classification have been developed. The performance of classifiers has been affected by the high dimensional and unbalanced data of patients. Therefore, a classifier called Extreme Learning Machine has been used for a generalized performance of the classification. In order to predict the rate of mortality for the patients admitted in the ICU by solving the challenges using various methods and tools. For this work, the dataset is collected from a rural hospital that provides medical services in the particular locality. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model, various algorithms have been used and the obtained results are compared. The proposed approach is implemented and experimented in MATLAB software. Various statistical reports are obtained as results and verified. From the results and comparison, it is noticed that the proposed method outperforms than other approaches.
In this research, a highly efficient desensitized FIR filter is designed to enhance the performance of digital filtering operation. With regard to FIR filter design, Multiplication and Accumulation ...component (MAC) forms the core processing entity. Half-band filters employing Ripple Carry Adder (RCA) based MAC structures have a sizeable number of logical elements, leading to high delay and high power consumption. To minimize these issues, a modified Booth multiplier encompassing SQRT Carry Select Adder (CSLA) based MAC component is proposed for the desensitized filter with reduced coefficients and employing lesser number of logical elements forgiving optimum performance with respect to delay and power consumption. The suggested FIR filter is simulated and assessed using EDA simulation tools from Modelsim 6.3c and Xilinx ISE. The results obtained from the proposed Desensitized FIR filter employing the modified booth multiplier with reduced complexity based SQRT CSLA show encouraging signs with respect to 12.08% reduction in delay and 2.2% reduction in power consumption when compared with traditional RCA based digital FIR filter.
Early fault detection methodology in gear box diagnosis has been proposed to find the status of the gear based on vibration signals obtained from the experimental test rig. Signal processing ...categorized to time-frequency domain such as continues wavelet transform is used in the proposed work for statistical feature extraction. Feature selection method is used for selecting the extensive useful features among the extracted features to reduce the processing time. A famous optimization technique, Genetic algorithm (GA) and rough set based approach is used to select the best input features to reduce the computation burden. The efficiency of this feature selection method is evaluated based on the classification accuracy obtained from the proposed algorithms: back propagation neural network (BPNN) a famous artificial neural network algorithm and C4.5.Performance of classifiers are evaluated with the different signals acquired from the experimental test rig for different states of gears.
