Nanoelectromechanical systems based on cantilevers have consistently set records for sensitivity in measurements of displacement, force and mass over the past decade. Continued progress will require ...the integration of efficient transduction on a chip so that nanoelectromechanical systems may be operated at higher speeds and sensitivities. Conventional electrical schemes have limited bandwidth, and although optical methods are fast, they are subject to the diffraction limit. Here, we demonstrate the integration of nanocantilevers on a silicon photonic platform with a non-interferometric transduction scheme that avoids the diffraction limit by making use of near-field effects in optomechanical interactions. The use of a non-interferometric method means that a coherent light source is not required, making the monolithic integration of optomechanical systems with on-chip light sources feasible. We further demonstrate optomechanical multiplexing of an array of ten nanocantilevers with a displacement sensitivity of 40 fm Hz(-1/2).

The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay D+s → K + π + π − π 0 is observed by using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 6.32 fb − 1 recorded by the BESIII detector at the ...centre-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV. The first amplitude analysis of D+s → K + π + π − π 0 reveals the sub-structures in this decay and determines the fractions and relative phases of different intermediate processes. The dominant intermediate process is D+s → K *0 ρ + , with a fit fraction of (40 . 5 ± 2 . 8 stat . ± 1 . 5 syst . )%. With the detection efficiency based on our amplitude analysis, the absolute branching fraction for D+s → K + π + π − π 0 is measured to be (9 . 75 ± 0 . 54 stat . ± 0 . 17 syst . ) × 10 − 3 .
Background
In this study, we aimed to evaluate the prognostic factors associated with and treatments for late‐onset severe pneumonia (LOSP) in patients who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem ...cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT).
Methods
Fifty consecutive patients who underwent non‐T‐cell‐depleted allo‐HSCT at the Peking University Institute of Hematology and met the criterion of LOSP after allo‐HSCT were enrolled.
Results
The median time from allo‐HSCT to the occurrence of LOSP was 231 (90–1487) days. Twenty‐eight patients harbored 1 or more pathogens (infectious LOSP, I‐LOSP), whereas 22 did not harbor any pathogens (non‐infectious LOSP, NI‐LOSP). The 100‐day survival rate of LOSP patients was 31.1%. Patients smoking before allo‐HSCT (0% vs. 35.4%, P = 0.002) and male gender (20.0% vs. 61.9%, P = 0.026) had lower 100‐day survival rate. Patients with a lower bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) neutrophil percentage had higher 100‐day survival rate relative to those with higher BALF neutrophil percentage (45.5% vs. 16.7%, P = 0.012). The 100‐day survival rate of patients with I‐LOSP was lower than that of patients with NI‐LOSP (19.1% vs. 46.9%, P = 0.043). Patients given late (≥1 week after LOSP diagnosis) and low‐dose methylprednisolone (MP) therapy (≤2 mg/kg/day) had the best 100‐day survival rate. In the multivariate analysis, nonsmoking before allo‐HSCT and late and low‐dose MP therapy were significantly associated with a better survival after LOSP.
Conclusion
LOSP is a severe complication after allo‐HSCT. The correct timing and corticosteroid dosage in the context of broad‐spectrum antimicrobial therapy might further improve the outcomes of patients with LOSP.

Using data collected with the BESIII detector in e(+)e(-) collisions at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226 GeV and corresponding to 6.32 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, we report the ...amplitude analysis and branching-fraction measurement of the D-s(+) -> pi(+)pi(0)eta' decay. We find that the dominant intermediate process is D-s(+) -> rho(+)eta' and the significances of other resonant and nonresonant processes are all less than 3 sigma. The upper limits on the branching fractions of S-wave and P-wave nonresonant components are set to 0.10% and 0.74% at the 90% confidence level, respectively. In addition, the branching fraction of the D-s(+) -> pi(+)pi(0)eta' decay is measured to be (6.15 +/- 0.25(stat.) +/- 0.18(syst.))%, which receives significant contribution only from D-s(+) -> rho(+)eta' according to the amplitude analysis.
Using the location of equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA) crest derived from GPS observations in China and Brazilian sector, we investigated the longitudinal dependence of periodic meridional ...movement of EIA crest during sudden stratospheric warming events in 2003, 2006, and 2009. The solar activity was from high to low for the three events. Results show that the locations of EIA crests in both China and Brazilian sectors exhibit obvious and constant 14‐ to 15‐day periodic oscillation being in‐phase in two sectors, which coincide with the half of the lunar revolution period (29.53 days) and the lunar phase. The temporal extent of wave power at 14–15 days is consistent with the temporal extent of stratospheric zonal wind, indicating that 14‐ to 15‐day periodic meridional movement of EIA crest is due to enhanced lunar tide modulated by zonal wind. In addition, it is also found that the amplitude of 14‐ to 15‐day periodic oscillation of EIA crest in China sector is larger than that in Brazilian sector, which may be caused by the longitudinal variation of tides and neutral wind pattern.
Key Points
SSW effects on EIA over China and Brazilian sector were discussed
The 14‐ to 15‐day periodic variations of EIA crest were modulated by lunar tide
Longitudinal variation of the amplitude of 14‐ to 15‐day oscillations was studied

Using the location of equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA) crest derived from GPS observations and CHAllenging Minisatellite Payload (CHAMP) satellite measurement, along with the F2 layer peak height ...(hmF2), critical frequency (foF2), and the equatorial electrojet (EEJ) in India and China longitudinal sectors, we found the obvious 6‐day oscillation in these ionospheric parameters during 16 April to 31 May 2003 and 21 September to 26 October 2004. The tidal amplitudes of EEJ are enhanced during the positive phase of the 6‐day waves and are weakened during its negative phase. Since the strong 6‐day planetary wave activities in mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT) region during these two events have been reported by earlier studies, this 6‐day oscillation in EIA region can be due to the interaction of enhanced planetary waves with the tidal wind. Moreover, the temporal variations of this 6‐day wave are consistent and in phase in these ionospheric parameters, indicating that the 6‐day planetary wave modulates electric fields via E region wind dynamo, thereby altering the vertical height and horizontal distribution of electron densities through upward E × B drift, which results in the periodical variations in these ionospheric parameters in F region. These observation results provide insight into how the 6‐day planetary waves modulate the ionospheric morphological structure.
Key Points
Atmosphere and ionosphere are coupled through planetary wave‐tide interactions
The 6‐day periodic oscillations in EIA region are modulated by planetary wave
The 6‐day waves in these ionospheric parameters are consistent and in phase

Miniaturized gas chromatography (GC) systems can provide fast, quantitative analysis of chemical vapors in an ultrasmall package. We describe a chemical sensor technology based on resonant ...nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) mass detectors that provides the speed, sensitivity, specificity, and size required by the microscale GC paradigm. Such NEMS sensors have demonstrated detection of subparts per billion (ppb) concentrations of a phosphonate analyte. By combining two channels of NEMS detection with an ultrafast GC front-end, chromatographic analysis of 13 chemicals was performed within a 5 s time window.

Abstract We report the first measurement of the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive decay $$\Lambda _c^+ \rightarrow K_S^0X$$ Λ c + → K S 0 X . The analysis is performed using an $$e^+e^-$$ ...e + e - collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567 $$\hbox {pb}^{-1}$$ pb - 1 taken at $$\sqrt{s}$$ s = 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector. Using eleven Cabibbo-favored $${\bar{\Lambda }}_c^-$$ Λ ¯ c - decay modes and the double-tag technique, this absolute branching fraction is measured to be $${\mathcal {B}}(\Lambda _c^+ \rightarrow K_S^0X)=(9.9\pm 0.6\pm 0.4)\%$$ B ( Λ c + → K S 0 X ) = ( 9.9 ± 0.6 ± 0.4 ) % , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The relative deviation between the branching fractions for the inclusive decay and the observed exclusive decays is $$(18.7\pm 8.3)\%$$ ( 18.7 ± 8.3 ) % , which indicates that there may be some unobserved decay modes with a neutron or excited baryons in the final state.

We conducted a retrospective analysis to evaluate outcomes of haploidentical transplantation in adult severe aplastic anaemia (SAA) patients. Fifty-one adults received haploidentical transplantation ...between May 2011 and December 2016. Patients were administered busulfan (Bu), cyclophosphamide (Cy) and anti-thymoglobulin (ATG) as conditioning regimens, followed by bone marrow and peripheral blood transplantation. The patients' median age was 25 years. Forty-nine patients survived for more than 28 days and all achieved donor myeloid engraftment. The median time for myeloid engraftment and platelet recovery was 13 days (range, 10-21) and 17.5 (range, 7-101) days. The cumulative incidence (CI) of grade II-IV and III-IV acute GvHD) was 20.00±0.33% and 6.00±0.12%, respectively. The incidence of chronic GvHD was 14.00±0.36% and 25.90±0.71%, and that of moderate-severe chronic GvHD was 2.51±0.06% and 6.92±0.25% at 1 and 3 years, respectively. The 3-year estimated overall survival and failure-free survival were both 83.5±5.4% with a median follow-up of 21.1 months. Multivariate analysis showed hematopoietic cell transplantation-specific comorbidity index (HCT-CI) score of ⩾3 was significantly associated with worse outcome. Haploidentical transplantation conditioning including Bu/Cy/ATG was a safe and effective strategy for adult SAA patients, and HCT-CI might be an outcome predictor in these patients.
