The aim of this paper is to examine the relationship between the dimensions of lean implementation success and time efficiency. The potential statistical significance of dimensions: quality, ...customer, process, human resources and supplier on time efficiency, has been investigated using a sample of 217 organizations and multiple regression model. The results of this study show that, overall, there is a positive relationship between dimensions of lean concept and time efficiency, and that constructs model explains about 51% of the variances in time efficiency. Furthermore, looking at the dimensions separately, customer and human resources seem to be the most significant in the case of firms where advanced lean concepts are not applied, while human resources management dimension shows the greatest effect on time efficiency in firms applying lean practices.
This paper deals with Business Excellence Model (BEM) and its implementation in cluster network environment. Total Quality Management and Organizational Excellence Model have gained a lot of ...attention in the last two decades as a way for organizations to meliorate business practices and operations and consequently to gain competitive edge. This paper presents the major objectives and benefits that drive companies to implement BEM. Furthermore, considering the most important barriers organizations are encountering during their endeavour to implement and apply Business Excellence Model, cluster networks, as environment that facilitates the implementation of BEM, are explained, determining the manner in which clusters help overpass the main obstacles. Since clusters imply interconnection of diverse actors which promote both knowledge creation and dissemination, innovation potential increase, resource exchange and similar, they are seen as facilitating environment for implementation for Business Excellence Model.
The paper analyses traffic accidents in which one of the participants were tractors, in the period of eleven years (2002-2012) on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The aim of the research is ...the exploration of the consequences, number and type of causes of these type accidents, in order to create a knowledge base that is needed for the improvement of the construction and identification of tractors, from the aspect of safety. Data analysis was performed on the sample of n=13246 traffic accidents in which one of the participants was a tractor. The authors used one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) including post hoc test (Scheffe). The significance of the study lies in the precise detection of the connection between the consequence and the number and types of causes in this aspect of accidents, while stressing the need for a more detailed approach in the prevention of accidents.
Over the past ten years, there has been a significant emphasis on Industry 4.0, with a focus on smart manufacturing that integrates cyber and physical components. However, in hindsight, it appears ...that the hype around Industry 4.0 has not met industry expectations due to implementation challenges arising from underdeveloped technologies. Today, Industry 5.0 proposes a human-centric approach to implementing digital sustainable technologies for the achievement of resilient production. Even though the Industry 5.0 concept is still in its infancy, manufacturing companies, especially from the automotive sector, must have a certain degree of readiness to start the implementation of smart manufacturing. Therefore, this research is proposing the fuzzy-rule-based maturity model for assessing the readiness for smart manufacturing implementation. It is achieved by the development of a fuzzy expert system based on criteria based on three main Industry 5.0 pillars, namely: sustainability, resilience, and human-centricity. Finally, the fuzzy maturity model is proved in the case company from the process industry.

In computer graphics, any attempt to realistically visualize movement presents a major challenge. This is especially true for the visualization of facial movements because of a large number of ...muscles on the face that are responsible for micro mimicry on which the realism of facial movements depends. The paper presents a low-cost end to end system for estimating and transmitting human facial expressions to a digital character in real time. It comprises a station for analysis and processing of data, in which detected facial features obtained by recording a person with a camera are processed, as well as a station for those displaying movements on a digital character.
