We adapted theory of cognitive process to the intervention for a student with ADHD. The purpose of the present study was to suggest how to know emotional state and control by himself under looking ...back on the past. We talked about events which was in school and asked him how felt then. Moreover, we asked him to express your emotion for each event, through utilizing a worksheet. To visualize the degree of emotion, it seemed that he found significance in “visualization of emotions” and began to notice the relationship between his actions and emotions. Moreover, it seems that he was doing self-monitoring of emotions at home and school voluntarily. Therefore, we suggested that it is effective that intervention based on the evaluation of cognitive characteristic, and we could adjust the situation for each student by utilizing the worksheet, and get an opportunity to explain how he feels. Furthermore, his parents or his teachers also could understand how he feels, and his emotion would change by the order of events or physical condition, even if the same situation.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of high-flow nasal cannula oxygen (HFNC) for dyspnea in patients with advanced disease. Methods: A literature search was conducted using MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, ...EMBASE, and Ichu-shi Web. Inclusion criteria were: 1) randomized controlled trials evaluating the effect of HFNC on dyspnea; 2) aged 18 years or older with advanced disease with hypoxemia; 3) control group was conventional oxygen therapy or noninvasive positive pressure ventilation. Exclusion criteria were: 1) patients in intensive care unit, 2) weaning from ventilator. Results: Six studies (4 from database searches, and 2 from hand searches) were included. In the 2 studies evaluating short-term intervention, one showed HFNC was more efficacious, and the other conventional oxygen was more efficacious. In the 2 studies evaluating long-term interventions: one showed HFNC was more efficacious, and the other showed no significant difference. In the 2 studies evaluating the intervention during exercise, one showed HFNC was more efficacious, and the other showed no significant difference. Conclusion: HFNC may be effective for dyspnea in patients with advanced disease associated with hypoxemia.
Metastatic tuberculosis abscess is an extremely rare skin tuberculosis. We report such a case and present a review of the literature. An 80–year–old woman with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), diabetes ...mellitus (DM), right forearm skin tuberculosis, sputum Gaffky No. 1, and PCR–TB (+) confirmed elsewhere in October 2008 was admitted to the tuberculosis ward with miliary tuberculosis. After discharge the following February, asubcutaneous abscess of the right lateral chest, right hip, and back led to a diagnosis of tuberculous abscess based on right buttock puncture. After PSL dose loss and continuously administered antituberculosis drugs, MRI showed no abscess reduction. Surgical resection in January 2010 confirmed the diagnosis. No new tuberculosis lesions were noted, and the woman's condition has remained stable. We thus found surgical resection highly useful for treating metastatic tuberculous abscess.
Meerwein–Ponndorf–Verley-type reductive acetylation of carbonyl compounds to acetates was successfully carried out in the presence of isopropenyl acetate under the influence of a catalytic amount of ...Ln(O
