Countries develop their nautical tourism depending on their nature potentials and resources and in line with their national economic strategies. The main development determinant is a national ...strategy as the basis of all plans and activities. The nautical tourism development encourages tourism destination development and impacts on economic and social sustainability. Nautical tourism is a specific form of modern tourism trends whose extremely important and highly profitable economic influence is largely visible in numerous multiplicative effects. Renown world researches prove that nautical tourism is one of the most important economic activities in tourism sector, perceived in Croatia as one of the most competitive tourism products. The objective of this paper is to point at the necessity of differentiation of communication strategy and marketing placements towards target markets focused on attracting yachtsmen taking into account their different demographic and sociographic profile. The research and comparative analysis conducted in American and European yacht clubs showed significant differences in selection of tourism destinations based on demographic and sociographic profile of yachtsmen in specific geolocation. The purpose of this work is to prepare the comparative analysis of the European and American yachtsmen profiles, which will serve to create targeted strategic marketing model of attracting foreign yachtsmen in selection of their holiday tourism destination. The conclusions of this research show that Croatia has still not fully capitalized its potential in the nautical tourism sector and that the more comprehensive market segmentation is necessary in the process of planning how to attract foreign yachtsmen.
Contemporary business is largely based on digital information. Traditional media forms lose battle in a new global surrounding. Therefore, knowing specific terminology and postulates of new ...conditions in the digital information market is essential. Globalization is an inevitable process overtaking all economic activities, including tourism sector intertwined with various advertising activities in order to place and sell its products and services. Digital marketing is thus more and more used. In that context, world tourism organizations and national tourist agencies play a role of communicator, trying to create desired mental image of a specific country as a tourism destination in the minds of final consumers. They use branding to make one country uniquely recognizable in the market. The aim of this paper is to present new trends in tourism destination branding process by using the means of digital marketing. The main purpose of this research was to analyse marketing activities and communication strategies of European countries, perceived as the largest tourism market, and compare them with the tourism promotion of Croatia in various markets. The results of the analysis of Croatian activities in promoting its tourism destinations imply there is still a large potential to improve implementation of digital marketing means by preparing the strategy of integrated market communication. The analysis of marketing activities of tourism developed countries shows trends in digital marketing that can serve as a model for development of Croatian tourism brand in global digital surrounding.
Tajni nadzor komunikacija koji se rabi za potrebe nacionalne sigurnosti i u svrhu provođenja policijskih istražnih radnji vrijedno je tehničko sredstvo i koristan alat tijela policijskog, pravosudnog ...i sigurnosnog sustava. U tehničkim aspektima, ovo polje bilježi značajne pomake u posljednjem desetljeću gdje su dostupni softver i platforme za provođenje tajnog nadzora proširene mogućnostima nadzora širokog spektra različitih komunikacijskih kanala. Funkcija tajnog nadzora komunikacija u suštini predstavlja ograničenje temeljnih prava pojedinaca na području Europske unije i država članica. Svrha ovog rada kao priloga raspravi o mehanizmima tajnog nadzora jest izložiti osobine modela naprednog softvera razvijenog u svrhu tajnog nadzora, usporedba s najčešćim modelima tajnog nadzora i analiza softverske arhitekture definirane od strane Europskog instituta za telekomunikacijske norme (ETSI) kao dominantne norme u ovom području. Iako se ovaj model arhitekture tajnog nadzora razvio inicijalno za nadzor glasovnih komunikacija, može ga se uspješno primijeniti i za tajni nadzor komunikacija koje koriste internet protokol (IP). Konačno, članak pruža komparativni pregled različitog softvera tajnog nadzora u skladu s regulativom funkcije tajnog nadzora.
Nautical tourism is one of the most competitive tourism products in Croatian. A wellorganized system of nautical tourism in the Adriatic could initiate the development of certain neglected areas ...which, with the appropriate valorization of natural and geographical resources, would become attractive for investment. Given the situation in the financial markets and the rising dollar, distant Mediterranean travel has become a possiblity for the average American seafarer. It is therefore necessary to define the potential market niche for the Croatian offer of nautical charter tourism on the US market. Croatia can attract a significant number of boaters due to its natural resources. The authors of this study intend to analyze the situation and the possibility of entrance of Croatia into the wholesale US charter market. In addition, they question the manner in which this kind of tourism product can come closer to the average American boater, and through which distribution channels to promote Croatian economic interests.
Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) stands at the forefront of the banking sector's technological revolution, promising enhancements in decision-making, risk management, and customer ...interaction. This paper examines Gen AI's potential to inject innovation and efficiency into banking services, with an estimated value addition of up to 340 billion annually. Grounded in advancements in NLP through Transformer architecture and evolving GPT models, Gen AI's applications in the banking industry are extensive. They range from personalizing customer service with AI-driven chatbots to revolutionizing credit scoring and trading strategies. However, alongside these opportunities, the paper addresses the significant challenges of regulatory compliance, ethical data usage, and the technical integration of AI systems. With the impending release of the EU's AI Act and existing GDPR and DORA, financial institutions must strategize to align with new standards while harnessing Gen AI's capabilities for process optimization and enhanced service delivery. The role of international standards such as ISO/IEC 42001:2023, ISO 31000:2018, ISO/IEC 23894:2023, NIST AI 600-1 and ISO/IEC 23053:2022 is considered to be beneficial in establishing a common framework for managing AI systems, ensuring data integrity and promoting transparency. By adopting these standards, banks can facilitate compliance across various jurisdictions, enhancing operational consistency and reliability - but certain significant limitations in addressing specific regulatory requirements must be taken into account. The paper concludes that Gen AI's future in banking will be transformative, driven by the industry's need to balance technological innovation with ethical and regulatory requirements and process standardization, which will lead to more transparent, personalized and efficient banking services.
Due to the rapid development of technology, in the last ten years digital marketing has given rise to sophisticated automated models for successfully affecting the behaviour of consumers whose ...fundamental rights, such as the right to privacy and the right to the protection of personal data, have often been violated because of the discrepancy between the regulations and the actual use of personal data.
The possibility of targeting has been brought to an enviable level – a precise targeting of an identified individual and his or her personal data, as well as their complete demographic, sociographic and psychographic profile – thus opening the doors to the possibility of making precise predictive analyses and the placement of behavioural strategies by combining various digital channels in creating communication messages of inducement to purchase and continuous monitoring of the individual and their habits.
Information security, on the other side, is a term which all parties in the marketing world involved in the provision of technological services directed towards automated use for marketing purposes, i.e. third-party-side tools with the goal of collecting data, shy away from.
The goal of the General Data Protection Regulation is the protection of personal data, primarily the right to privacy in the digital age and the Regulation will strongly influence the current modalities of using digital marketing.
This study was carried out by the authors on 233 small and medium entrepreneurs in the Republic of Croatia on the use of marketing modalities and tools to collect data about targeted individuals. It has shown that through digital marketing, the companies collect not only the information about their consumers’ preferences, but their a priori goal is the concrete identification of an individual for the purpose of reducing the costs of marketing activities, directing customized communication to a targeted individual and creating a quick return on a marketing investment by raising sales – at the same time without any special sensitivity regarding the protection of the individual’s rights and their personal data.
The goal of the paper is the identification of the most frequent methods and tactics of digital marketing and their non-compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation which comes into force at the end of May this year.
Abstract
The process of stronger connecting of countries belonging to the Old Continent in the form of the European Union is moving towards the East, which made Serbia start its negotiation process ...for a full EU membership. The Croatian view on this process is specific and largely based on negative past experience of living together in one country, which ended up in the Homeland War (internationally called Yugoslav war), whose memories are still fresh. Therefore, this process is of great importance for the Croatian politics. Serbian political elites and media advocate for fast accession to the EU, whereas a significant number of Croatian politicians show not only caution and distrust, but to some extent even the fear of this integration. To become a full member state, Serbia must undoubtedly fulfil strong accession criteria. From the beginning of the negotiation process, Croatia started with a rather harsh political rhetoric of setting different conditions and using its recently established right of being an EU member state to force Serbia to compromises in solving still open legal disputes.
The main goal of this paper is to demonstrate by using adequate methods and modern metrics how differences in statements given by various diplomatic-political circles in comparison to specific media announcements may with their varieties and various interpretations generate instability in both countries.
The purpose of this paper is the research and analysis of diplomatic statements and media announcements on this matter in order to gain a better understanding of bilateral relations between two countries and of perception by its citizens - Croatia as the full member state and Serbia as the candidate country.
Results of this research imply the presence of a conflict situation in the negotiation process and a negative turn in geopolitical perception which is of a decreasing probability to solve open issues in bilateral negotiation. The Governments of both countries must raise their efforts in communication to reach valid decisions based on more rational assessment and subsequently inform their public on the discussions in an adequate and correct manner.
Digitalna ekonomija i evolucija turističkog sektora u artificial intelligence (AI) i environmental, social and governancekonceptu (ESG) predstavljaju ključne čimbenike koji oblikuju njegovu ...sadašnjost i budućnost, s osobitim naglaskom na onlinerezervacijske platforme. Ovaj rad istražuje kako napredak u digitalnim tehnologijama – umjetna inteligencija te integracija ESG principa u ponudu turističkih proizvoda – mogu utjecati na cjelokupni turistički sektor. Rad pruža deskriptivnu analizu primjera mogućeg korištenja AI tehnologija za unaprjeđenje održivosti, personalizaciju korisničkog iskustva (CX – customer experience) i optimizaciju operativnih procesa, kao i osvrt na ulogu ESG čimbenika u oblikovanju održivijih i odgovornijih turističkih praksi te deskriptivnu analizu trendova iz relevantnih svjetskih istraživanja vezanih za stavove o korištenju AI-ja u kreiranju, ponudi i promociji proizvoda.
