Two-dimensional stretched flow of Jeffrey fluid in view of Cattaneo-Christov heat flux is addressed. Effects of homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions are also considered. Suitable transformations are ...used to form ordinary differential equations. Convergent series solutions are computed. Impact of significant parameters on the velocity, temperature, concentration and skin friction coefficient is addressed. Analysis of thermal relaxation is made. The obtained results show that ratio of relaxation to retardation times and Deborah number have inverse relation for velocity profile. Temperature distribution has decreasing behavior for Prandtl number and thermal relaxation time. Also concentration decreases for larger values of strength of homogeneous reaction parameter while it increases for strength of heterogeneous reaction parameter.

Present study addresses the three dimensional flow of Jeffrey fluid. Flow is induced by a porous stretching sheet. Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model is used to form energy equation. Appropriate ...transformations are employed to form system of ordinary differential equations. Convergent series solutions are obtained. Impact of pertinent parameters on the velocity and temperature is examined. It is noted that by increasing the ratio of relaxation to retardation times the velocity components are decreased. Temperature distribution also decreases for larger values of thermal relaxation time.
The main theme of this communication is to scrutinize the chemically reactive flow of second-grade nanoliquid between two infinite plates. The MHD fluid is considered. Both plates approach ...symmetrically to each other, generating squeezing flow. The Buongiorno model is utilized for the modeling. Viscous dissipation and Ohmic heating effects are further considered. The total irreversibility rate is achieved via thermodynamics second law. To transform the reactants into products, a concept of activation energy is used. The nonlinear PDEs are altered into ordinary ones through similarity transformations and solved through homotopy analysis method. The impact of sundry parameters on flow, temperature and concentration fields is studied with the help of graphic illustrations. Velocity and temperature gradients are discussed numerically through Tables 2 and 3. The velocity of fluid particles increases versus squeezing parameter, while temperature field decreases. The entropy rate and Bejan number demonstrate the contrast influence against Brinkman number.
This paper investigates the unsteady MHD flow of viscous fluid between two parallel rotating disks. Fluid fills the porous space. Energy equation has been constructed by taking Joule heating, thermal ...stratification and radiation effects into consideration. We convert system of partial differential equations into system of highly nonlinear ordinary differential equations after employing the suitable transformations. Convergent series solutions are obtained. Behavior of different involved parameters on velocity and temperature profiles is examined graphically. Numerical values of skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are computed and inspected. It is found that tangential velocity profile is increasing function of rotational parameter. Fluid temperature reduces for increasing values of thermal stratification parameter. At upper disk heat transfer rate enhances for larger values of Eckert and Prandtl numbers.

An attempt is accomplished to study nonlinear radiation and chemical reactive magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of nanofluid. Nanofluid comprises water and copper (Cu) and silver (Ag) as nanoparticles. ...Effect of porous medium is also taken into account. Characteristics of heat and mass transfers are discussed via homogeneous-heterogeneous reactions. Correlation behavior of surface drag force and heat transfer rate is discussed. Probable error and statistical declaration for drag force and heat transfer rate are computed. Ordinary differential systems have been considered. Solutions of the problem are presented via a numerical technique namely Euler’s Explicit Method (EEM). The key roles of different embedded parameters on different characteristics of fluid are discussed graphically. The outcomes of the given problem demonstrate that non-linear radiation has noteworthy effect on both temperature and heat transfer coefficient.

An analysis is performed to investigate flow between two stretchable rotating disks. Thermal equation is constructed by Cattaneo-Christov heat flux theory. Porous medium is also taken into account. ...The nonlinear partial differential equations are first converted to ordinary differential equations and then computed for the convergent series solutions. Discussion about impact of dimensionless parameters on velocities, temperature and skin friction coefficient is given. It is observed that the radial velocity at upper disk enhances for larger values of ratio of corresponding stretching rate to angular velocity. Velocity in y-direction decays with an increase in rotational parameter. Magnitude of temperature profile decays for larger Prandtl number and thermal relaxation parameter.

This analysis reports an unsteady and incompressible flow of Williamson nanoliquid in presence of variable thermal characteristics are persuaded by a permeable stretching cylinder. The flow field ...investigation is established with the effect of mixed convection and non-uniform heat source/sink on flow and heat transfer. On the cylinder surface, the analysis is inspected with utilization of zero mass flux constraints. By using the appropriate similarity variables, the framed equations for the energy, momentum and mass is converted into non-linear ODEs. The numerical communication of the boundary value problem is successfully implemented using a computer algorithm programmed into the fifth Runge-Kutta scheme. Additionally, the wall shear factor and rate of heat transfer are calculated in two different cases namely, with curvature and without curvature. In addition, the results obtained are confirmed by making comparisons with previously published articles and we found an excellent match that guarantees the indemnity of current communication. A comprehensive change in velocity, temperature and concentration is examined for involved parameters like local Weissenberg number, space dependent heat source constant, magnetic number, curvature constant, thermophoretic parameter, buoyancy parameter, Brownian motion parameter, Prandtl number, Schmidt number, unsteadiness parameter, reaction rate parameter, activation energy parameter and temperature difference parameter. A reduction in velocity is observed for unsteady parameter and buoyancy constant. An enhanced nanofluid temperature is noted for space dependent heat source parameter, time dependent heat source parameter and unsteady parameter. Moreover, the nanofluid concentration is increases for temperature difference parameter while reverse observations are noticed for chemical reaction rate.

This research communicates the thermal assessment of Sutterby nanofluid containing the gyrotactic microorganisms with solutal and Marangoni boundaries. The applications of melting phenomenon and ...thermal conductivity are also considered. The flow is confined by a stretched cylinder. The prospective of Brownian motion and thermophoresis diffusions are also taken account via Buongiorno nanofluid model. The problem is formulated with help of governing relations and equations which are altered into dimensionless form via appropriate variables. The numerical scheme based on shooting scheme is employed to access the solution. A comparative analysis is performed to verify the approximated solution. The observations reveal that the velocity profile enhanced with the Marangoni number while a declining velocity profile has been observed with Sutterby nanofluid parameter and Darcy resistance parameter. The nanofluid temperature get rise with thermal conductivity parameter and thermal Biot number. An arising profile of nanofluid concentration is observed for concentration conductivity parameter and buoyancy ratio parameter.

This communication discusses the Marangoni convection of hybrid nanofluid. Hybrid nanofluid is made up of two nanoparticles (MnZiFe2O4-NiZnFe2O4) and one base fluid (H2O). Darcy Forchheimer porous ...medium effect is inserted in momentum equation. Entropy generation in the flow due to heat transfer irreversibility, mass transfer irreversibility and viscous dissipation irreversibility is calculated and examined against pertinent parameters. Activation energy effect is applied in concentration equation. Bejan number effect is calculated to examine that which irreversibility factor is dominant. Transformations are applied to form the required governing equations from PDE’s. Effect of pertinent parameters on velocity, concentration, skin friction, temperature, entropy generation, Nusselt number and Bejan number are studied graphically. Velocity of the fluid is decreasing due to increase in porosity parameter, Forchheimer number and Marangoni ratio parameter. Temperature rises for Eckert number and nanoparticles volume fraction of both nanoparticles. Concentration rises for activation energy parameter and reduces for chemical reaction parameter. Entropy generation increases for Marangoni ratio parameter, diffusion parameter and Brinkman number.

Annually, the thermal coal industries produce billion tons of fly-ash (FA) as a waste by-product. Which has been proficiently used for the manufacture of FA based geopolymer concrete (FGC). To ...accelerate the usage of FA in building industry, an innovative machine learning techniques namely gene expression programming (GEP) and multi expression programming (MEP) are employed for forecasting the compressive strength of FGC. The comprehensive database is constructed comprising of 311 compressive strength results. The obtained equations relate the compressive strength of FGC with eight most effective parameters i.e., curing regime (T), time for curing (t) in hours, age of samples (A) in days, percentage of total aggregate by volume (% Ag), molarity of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution (M), silica (SiO2) solids percentage in sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) solution (%S), superplasticizer (%P) and extra water (%EW) as percent FA. The accurateness and predictive capacity of both GEP and MEP model is assessed via statistical checks, external validation criteria suggested by different researcher and then compared with linear regression (LR) and non-linear regression (NLR) models. In comparison with MEP equation, the GEP equation has lesser statistical error and higher correlation coefficient. Also, the GEP equation is short and it would be easy to use in the field. So, the GEP model is further utilized for sensitivity and parametric study. This research will increase the re-usage of hazardous FA in the development of green concrete that would leads to environmental safety and monetarist reliefs.
