The article reports on a roundtable dialogue on Donor Funding for SRHR Advocacy and Movement Building, organised by Sexual and Reproductive Health Matters (SRHM) in collaboration with AmplifyChange ...on 14-15 September 2022. It explores the current scenario about the changing landscape for advocacy and movement building for SRHR and presents some key takeaways from the discussion. The roundtable examined the current funding architecture, drawing on the diverse perspectives of participants, including funders, and raises critical questions on whether current funding patterns are geared to help or hinder advancing a transformative SRHR advocacy agenda that can effectively counter opposition to and rollback of SRHR gains. It provides insights into current approaches to monitoring success and impact that, in turn, shape future funding strategies and priorities and offers preliminary suggestions and solutions for a way forward. The decision to terminate a pregnancy is not one that is taken lightly. The need for an abortion reflects limited sexual autonomy, ineffective or lack of access to contraceptive options, or a health ...indication. Abortion is protected under human rights law. That notwithstanding, access to abortions continues to be contested in many parts of the world, with vested interests from politically and religiously conservative states, patriarchal societies, and cultural mores, not just within local contexts but also within a broader geopolitical context. Criminalization of a women's choice not to carry a pregnancy is a significant driver of unsafe procedures, and even where abortions are provided legally, the policies remain constrained by the practice or by a lack of coherence. This review outlines the trends in abortion policy in low- and middle-income countries and highlights priority areas to ensure that women are safe and able to exercise their reproductive rights.
Background: The aim is to study the sequence of events contributing the survival of wrist electrical burns and reconstructive options for salvage of soft tissue of electrical burns of wrist.
Methods: ...Data of patients with high tension electrical burns involving the wrist admitted in our hospital from January 2018 to December 2020. There were 17 patients with electrical burns with wrist injury. Patients from age 18 to 65 years were included in the study. Patients were subjected to bio immunoassay, infrared thermography, indocyanine fluorescent scan, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and reconstructive procedures.
Results: Among 17 patients, 16 were male. Their age ranged from 20 to 61 years. The injury resulted from 11 kv voltage line most often and the patients were admitted within a day of injury. All patients were subjected to multiple staged procedures of debridement and reconstruction. 7 patients were subjected to amputation of the limb, 5 patients subjected to reconstruction in terms of abdominal flap and 4 with groin flap and one perforator plus flap was used to cover the wrist defect.
Conclusions: Wrist electrical burns due to its crucial location, requires knowledge on disease process, if ignored will directly lead to significant morbidity. Utilisation of newer modalities will help in timely intervention and salvage of the limb.

To determine the larvicidal activity of twenty five plant extracts against Culex quinquefasciatus (Cx. quinquefasciatus).
The larvicidal activity was determined against the third instar larvae of Cx. ...quinquefasciatus at 1 000 ppm concentration. Larval mortality was assessed after 24 and 48 h.
The hexane extracts of Cleistanthus collinus (C. collinus) and Murraya koeingii (M. koeingii) plants showed 100 percent mortality at 24 h bioassay followed by diethyl ether, dichloromethane and ethyl acetate extracts of C. collinus, Leucas aspera (L. aspera), Hydrocotyle javanica (H. javanica), M. koeingii, Sphaeranthus indicus (S. indicus) and Zanthoxylum limonella (Z. limonella) after 48 h exposure.
The results indicate larvicidal activity against Cx. quinquefasciatus and further investigations are needed to elucidate this activity against a wide range of all stages of mosquito species and also the active ingredients of the extract responsible for larvicidal activity should be identified.

E) to study the long ...term performance and stability of RPCs produced on a large scale in Indian industry. This setup has been collecting data triggered by the passage of charged particles. The measurement of the multiplicity of charged particles due to cosmic ray interactions are presented here. Finally, the results are compared with different hadronic models of the CORSIKA simulation.
The India-based Neutrino Observatory Project (INO) is a proposed underground high energy physics experiment at Theni, India to study the neutrino oscillation parameters using atmospheric neutrinos. ...The 50 kton magnetised INO-ICAL detector will require approximately 30,000 of 2 m × 2 m Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) as sensitive detectors and proposed to operate for about 20 years. For success of the experiment, each of the RPCs has to function without showing any significant aging during the period of operation. Hence, various tests including a proper leak test are performed during and after production. The methods of leak rate calculation using conventional manometer are valid only when both the volume of the test subject and ambient pressure are kept constant. But both these quantities for a RPC gas gap depend widely on the ambient pressure and temperature. A proper quantitative estimation of the leak rate cannot be acquired from such pressure measurements. By monitoring the absolute pressures, both outside and inside of an RPC, along with the temperature, its leakage rate can be estimated. During the test period, the supporting button spacers inside an RPC may get detached due to manufacturing defect. This effect also needs to be detected.
The proposed 50 kton INO-ICAL experiment is an upcoming underground high energy physics experiment planned to be commissioned at Bodi hills near Theni, India *, ** to study various properties of ...neutrino oscillations using atmospheric neutrinos produced by extensive air shower phenomenon. The resistive plate chamber has been chosen as the active detector element for the proposed INO-ICAL. An experimental setup consisting a stack of 12 layers of glass resistive plate chambers each with a size of *** m has been built at IICHEP, Madurai to study the performance and long-term stability of the resistive plate chambers(RPCs) commercially produced in large quantities by the Indian industries as well as its electronics for the front-end and subsequent signal processing. In this study, the azimuthal dependence of muon flux at various zenith angles at Madurai *** and at an altitude of 160 m above mean sea level) has been presented along with the comparison of Monte Carlo from CORSIKA and HONDA predictions.
The composition and energy spectrum of primary cosmic rays (PCRs) are the only observables at high energies to study the nature of sources accelerating PCRs to 1000 TeV. These observables have been ...directly measured up to ∼300 TeV with detectors aboard balloons and satellites. But measurements at >1000 TeV have to be obtained indirectly from ground-based observations of extensive air showers. However, their interpretation relies on an inadequate knowledge of hadronic interactions at 1000 TeV. The GRAPES-3 experiment is designed to operate at 30 TeV providing a sizable overlap in energy with direct measurements, enabling the selection of a suitable model of hadronic interactions at ∼1000 TeV. We present salient features of GRAPES-3 including details of muon multiplicity distributions observed with a 560 m2 detector as a function of shower size from an analysis of data of 545 days. These distributions were compared with expectations from Monte Carlo simulations, using some of the hadronic interaction generators in CORSIKA, to deduce energy spectra of five nuclear groups in the 100-1000 TeV region. A comparison of GRAPES-3 results with direct measurements indicates that SIBYLL provides a good description of hadronic interactions for interpreting our data. These measurements extend energy spectra and composition of PCRs that is consistent with extrapolation of direct measurements.
Variability in digital integrated circuits makes timing verification an extremely challenging task. In this paper, a canonical first order delay model is proposed that takes into account both ...correlated and independent randomness. A novel linear-time block-based statistical timing algorithm is employed to propagate timing quantities like arrival times and required arrival times through the timing graph in this canonical form. At the end of the statistical timing, the sensitivities of all timing quantities to each of the sources of variation are available. Excessive sensitivities can then be targeted by manual or automatic optimization methods to improve the robustness of the design. This paper also reports the first incremental statistical timer in the literature which is suitable for use in the inner loop of physical synthesis or other optimization programs. The third novel contribution of this paper is the computation of local and global criticality probabilities. For a very small cost in CPU time, the probability of each edge or node of the timing graph being critical is computed. Numerical results are presented on industrial ASIC chips with over two million logic gates.
