The purpose of the article is to assess the quality of management of sports clubs for the disabled applying the Common Assessment Framework (CAF). The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a quality ...self-assessment tool, which allows: 1) to introduce the principles of total quality management to the public administration and to gradually get acquainted with them; 2) to encourage organisations of the public sector to carry out self-assessment for better understanding of themselves and agreeing on the activities for improvement; 3) to integrate a variety of quality management models; 4) to facilitate the comparative analysis of the activities of the public sector organisation. Based on the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), a quantitative study was carried out. This research used the method of simple random sampling, i.e. every sports club in Lithuania has an equal chance of being selected. The sample size was 45 sports clubs in Lithuania. The findings of the qualitative aspects of management of sports clubs for the disabled show the need for more efficient management of financial resources, increase in service uniqueness and adaptability in terms of investment, much greater individualization of work with the disabled, development of partnerships with other organisations when implementing joint projects, openness to ideas, pursuit for recognition, since the provided services have an impact on the quality of life of the disabled; they acquire healthy lifestyle skills, social skills, manage to be initiative and creative, are able to ensure higher quality of communication and cooperation.

Plėtojant savanorišką veiklą sporto sektoriuje yra susiduriama su tam tikromis problemomis ir barjerais. Savanorių valdymas yra labai plati sąvoka, apimanti ne tik savanorių pritraukimą, verbavimą, ...atranką, valdymą ir vadovavimą, bet ir išlaikymą bei skatinimą. Sporto organizacijų vadovai turi būti itin lankstūs ir gebėti prisiderinti prie savanorių poreikių, siekiant suderinti bendrus savanorio ir organizacijos tikslus. Iki šiol daugiausia tyrimų yra atlikta analizuojant savanorišką veiklą individualioje perspektyvoje, daugiausiai dėmesio skiriant savanorių motyvacijai ir pasitenkinimui atliekant savanoriškas veiklas. Trūksta tyrimų savanoriškos veiklos skatinimo tema, nors savanoriškos veiklos skatinimo ir valdymo mechanizmai sporto organizacijose gali sukurti didžiausią pridėtinę vertę efektyvinant savanorišką veiklą tose organizacijose, nes savanoriškos veiklos fenomenas Lietuvoje neturi gilių ir susiformavusių tradicijų, tačiau kasmet įgauna vis didesnį mastą. Lietuvos mokslininkai atlieka tyrimus savanoriškos veiklos srityje, paliesdami valdymo modelius, žinių valdymo strategijas, savanoriškos veiklos poveikį ir naudą bei pasitenkinimą tokia veikla. Tyrimo tikslas: įvertinti savanorių požiūrį į savanoriškos veiklos skatinimo ir valdymo aspektus organizacijoje. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros šaltinių analizė; anketinė apklausa; statistinė analizė. Tyrimo dalyviais buvo Sporto savanorių sąjungos (SSS) nariai – sporto savanoriai, kurie užima žemiausią poziciją organizacijos veikloje ir neturi aiškiai apibrėžtų pareigų. Tai dažniausiai savanoriai, aptarnaujantys įvairius sporto renginius. Iš viso dalyvavo 48 Sporto sąjungos savanoriai. Tyrimo metu nustatyta, kad iš skatinimo aspektų organizacijoje dominuoja savanorių įgalinimas (galėjimas kontroliuoti vykstančius procesus, laisvė atlikti paskirtas užduotis bei savanoriškos patirties sklaida), atsižvelgiant į savanorių amžių, socialinį statusą. Lytis savanorių skatinimui įtakos neturi. Svarbus skatinimo aspektas tai pat yra ir bendraminčių bei aplinkinių skatinimas dalyvauti savanoriškoje veikloje (svarbus tiek lyties, tiek užimamo statuso aspektu). Savanorių valdyme akcentuojamas savanorių gebėjimas gerai atlikti jiems paskirtas veiklas, tam tikrų veiklos procesų kontrolė ir pasitenkinimas atliekamu darbu. Galintys kontroliuoti procesus jaučiasi vyresni savanoriai (vyrai), iš kurių daugiausia yra dirbančių arba studentų.Taip pat jie mano, kad prie valdymo procesų, vykstančių organizacijoje, prisideda labai daug. Savanoriai pageidautų, kad organizacijoje būtų įdiegta aiški savanorių valdymo metodika, ja būtų remiamasi, o tai skatintų savanorius daug efektyviau vykdyti savo veiklas.
Pasaulyje sparčiai tobulėjant futbolo rinkai, tokie šios rinkos rodikliai kaip konkurencija bei konkurencingumas atskleidžia, ar futbolo klubai reaguoja į besikeičiančią aplinką. Norėdami išlikti ...konkurencingoje rinkoje sporto klubai turi gebėti atlaikyti didėjantį konkurencijos spaudimą. Tai yra sudėtingas procesas, kadangi pritraukti žiūrovus, aistruolius, paslaugų gavėjus bei juos išlaikyti – didelis iššūkis. Kita vertus, sporto klubas, norintis ne tik išsilaikyti rinkoje, bet ir pasiekti gerų rezultatų, turi žinoti, kokiais būdais ar priemonėmis gali didinti savo konkurencingumą: savo produktą ir jo savybes, klientus, verslo procesą, strateginę viziją bei tikslus. Identifikuoti savo konkurentą gali atrodyti nesunku, bet pradedant analizuoti, įsivaizduojamas konkurentų ratas sparčiai plečiasi. Darbo tikslas – įvertinti Marijampolės futbolo klubo „Sūduva“ konkurencingumo veiksnius. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad vyraujantys konkurencingumo veiksniai FK „Sūduva“ – komandinis darbas, vertingi žaidėjai, komandos aistruoliai ir rėmėjai. Veiksniai, kurie turi būti tobulinami: progreso / karjeros galimybės komandoje (klubo tikslams pasiekti reikalingi stiprūs, patyrę žaidėjai), parduodamos prekės (platesnis asortimentas) bei socialiniai tinklai (turinio įvairumas).

The purpose of this article is to examine understanding of leisure industry, that is a complex concept with different meanings depending on the people, place, and time. Defining it requires journeys ...to different scientific approaches and positions. In article is analysed leisure with the different components, sectors and types of leisure industry. Exist individual, social and economic leisure functions. Leisure contributes to the social, cultural and economic development of individuals, communities, cities and countries and enhances the human condition while contributing to a variety of human experiences. There are Health, Social, Community, Environment and Economic benefits of Leisure. Main components of Leisure industry are: Sport and Physical Activity, Arts and Entertainment, Tourism (Heritage, Visitor Attractions), Countryside Recreation, Home-Based Leisure, Catering, Shopping (Clothes etc.). Afterwards, is summarized leisure's contemporary meaning according to its most common connotations. Current literature on sport events and tourist destinations is still largely in its infancy, where the majority of studies still have not been conducted in investigating and documenting the role and ...impact of tourists' involvement and emotions on sport events. Furthermore, tourist destination image is defined as the sum of beliefs, ideas and impressions a tourist has on a certain destination. For these reasons, sport tourists cannot take future decisions in sport events without a prior evaluation of how the emotions, involvement and image of tourist destinations will influence their decision. The paper emphasizes the impact of globalization which itself progressively diminishes and resolves the potential and real borders and barriers, makes influence on understanding of destination and involvement. The concept of destination involvement describes different attitudes a tourist can have towards a destination: from a limited involvement qualified as awareness, to deeper types of involvement, indicated as attraction, attachment and, finally, allegiance explaining about the relation between sport events and destination image and taking into account various stages of understanding the tourist involvement process. The theoretical analysis suggests that a branding extension approach could be a feasible strategy to strengthen the image of sport events. Other two approaches, i.e. co branding and brand feature approach have been proposed in literature on the basis of the distinctiveness of sporting event brand and destination brand.
Today, only modern organizations can compete in the national, European and global market, as they develop knowledge, or use of scientific and technical progress in modernizing jobs, basically ...increasing productivity, reducing production costs, the staff is regularly taught new ways of working, developing co-operation in the national and the international market, they are able to adapt to the constantly changing environment. Aim of article was to identify the main factors affecting the competitiveness of services of sports clubs. The paper identifies major internal and external factors influencing the competitiveness of the services provided by sports clubs. Internal factors were factor and demand conditions, related and servicing industries (clusters), the company structure, strategy and competition, manager/strategy developer, corporate image and service quality. External factors were the role of the government, opportunities and international business, social and economic factors. The main reasons for the importance of internal factors affecting the competitiveness of sports club services are the clients' personal interests and meeting their social needs, and the importance of the external factors is determined by the state and the values established in the society. The practical model of factors affecting the competitiveness of the services provided by sports clubs was developed in the order of their priority. The model of factors affecting the competitiveness of the services provided by sports clubs reflects the internal and external competitive environment of sports clubs services. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
