Oxygenation is a fundamental transformation in synthesis. Herein, we describe the selective late‐stage oxygenation of sulfur‐containing complex molecules with ground‐state oxygen under ambient ...conditions. The high oxidation potential of the active uranyl cation (UO22+) enabled the efficient synthesis of sulfones. The ligand‐to‐metal charge transfer process (LMCT) from O 2p to U 5f within the O=U=O group, which generates a UV center and an oxygen radical, is assumed to be affected by the solvent and additives, and can be tuned to promote selective sulfoxidation. This tunable strategy enabled the batch synthesis of 32 pharmaceuticals and analogues by late‐stage oxygenation in an atom‐ and step‐efficient manner.

Inclusive e(+/-)p single and double differential cross sections for neutral and charged current deep inelastic scattering processes are measured with the H1 detector at HERA. The data were taken at a ...centre-of-mass energy of root s = 319 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 333.7 pb(-1) shared between two lepton beam charges and two longitudinal lepton polarisation modes. The differential cross sections are measured in the range of negative four-momentum transfer squared, Q(2), between 60 and 50 000GeV(2), and Bjorken x between 0.0008 and 0.65. The measurements are combined with earlier published unpolarised H1 data to improve statistical precision and used to determine the structure function xF(3)(gamma Z). A measurement of the neutral current parity violating structure function F-2(gamma Z) is presented for the first time. The polarisation dependence of the charged current total cross section is also measured. The new measurements are well described by a next-to-leading order QCD fit based on all published H1 inclusive cross section data which are used to extract the parton distribution functions of the proton.

In addition, variables like human labour, machine labour, fertiliser, manure, etc. proved to be positively significant that could influence the yields of the wheat crop. Except Udhampur district, mustard crop in the rest of the district experienced constant returns to scale. Moreover, variables like machine labour, manure and fertiliser worked out to be significant. On the other hand, in the Udhampur district, rice crop revealed the increasing returns to scale and the rest of the districts showed the constant returns to scale. Human labour, plant protection chemicals and manure came out to be significant. Therefore, such input variables need to be taken care of accordingly.

The strong coupling constant αs is determined from inclusive jet and dijet cross sections in neutral-current deep-inelastic ep scattering (DIS) measured at HERA by the H1 collaboration using ...next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD predictions. The dependence of the NNLO predictions and of the resulting value of αs(mZ) at the Z-boson mass mZ are studied as a function of the choice of the renormalisation and factorisation scales. Using inclusive jet and dijet data together, the strong coupling constant is determined to be αs(mZ)=0.1157(20)exp(29)th. Complementary, αs(mZ) is determined together with parton distribution functions of the proton (PDFs) from jet and inclusive DIS data measured by the H1 experiment. The value αs(mZ)=0.1142(28)tot obtained is consistent with the determination from jet data alone. The impact of the jet data on the PDFs is studied. The running of the strong coupling is tested at different values of the renormalisation scale and the results are found to be in agreement with expectations.

The current study discusses the solution for obtaining stratification points under Neyman allocation having one study variable and two auxiliary variables. Using dynamic programming approach ...non-linear programming problem has been solved. The proposed technique has gained in precision rather than using only one auxiliary variable. Numerical illustration has been given in which each of the auxiliary variable is supposed to follow different distribution. Through the empirical study, the proposed method has been compared with the Ravindra and Sukhatme (1969) and Khan et al.(2005) methods with the conclusion of having its more relative efficiency.
Inclusive production of D* mesons in deep-inelastic ep scattering at HERA is studied in the range 5 < Q(2) < 100 GeV2 of the photon virtuality and 0.02 < y < 0.7 of the inelasticity of the scattering ...process. The observed phase space for the D* meson is (pT) (D*) > 1.25 GeV and |eta( D*)| < 1.8. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 348 pb(-1) collected with the H1 detector. Single and double differential cross sections are measured and the charm contribution F-2(c (c) over bar) to the proton structure function F-2 is determined. The results are compared to perturbative QCD predictions at next-to-leading order implementing different schemes for the charm mass treatment and with Monte Carlo models based on leading order matrix elements with parton showers.

In this study, the difficulty of estimating the population mean in the situation of post-stratification is discussed. The case of post-stratification is presented for ratio-type exponential ...estimators of finite population mean. Mean-squared error of the proposed estimator is obtained up to the first degree of approximation. In the instance of post-stratification, the proposed estimator was compared with the existing estimators. An empirical study by using some real data and further, simulation study has been carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed estimator.
