The CALICE collaboration is preparing large scale prototypes of highly granular calorimeters for detectors to be operated at a future linear electron positron collider. After several beam campaigns ...at DESY, CERN and FNAL, the CALICE collaboration has demonstrated the principle of highly granular electromagnetic calorimeters with a first prototype called physics prototype. The next prototype, called technological prototype, addresses the engineering challenges which come along with the realisation of highly granular calorimeters. This prototype will comprise 30 layers where each layer is composed of four 9×9cm2 silicon wafers. The front end electronics is integrated into the detector layers. The size of each pixel is 5×5mm2. This prototype enters its construction phase.
We present results of the first layers of the technological prototype obtained during beam test campaigns in spring and summer 2012. According to these results the signal over noise ratio of the detector exceeds the R&D goal of 10:1.

dramatically improved with respect to what is expected from LHC for electroweak

The CALICE Semi-Digital Hadronic Calorimeter (SDHCAL) prototype, built in 2011, was exposed to beams of hadrons, electrons and muons in two short periods in 2012 on two different beam lines of the ...CERN SPS. The prototype with its 48 active layers, made of Glass Resistive Plate Chambers and their embedded readout electronics, was run in triggerless and power-pulsing mode. The performance of the SDHCAL during the test beam was found to be very satisfactory with an efficiency exceeding 90% for almost all of the 48 active layers. A linear response (within 5%) and a good energy resolution are obtained for a large range of hadronic energies (5-80GeV) by applying appropriate calibration coefficients to the collected data for both the Digital (Binary) and the Semi-Digital (Multi-threshold) modes of the SDHCAL prototype. The Semi-Digital mode shows better performance at energies exceeding 30GeV

Dans le cadre d’une recherche sur les valeurs socioéconomiques des bibliothèques publiques pilotée par la Bibliothèque publique d’information (Bpi) et commanditée par le ministère de la Culture, la ...ville de Sotteville-lès-Rouen s’est engagée, avec des chercheurs en sciences sociales de l’université de Lille (Clersé) et de l’université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (Larsh), dans un projet expérimental visant à déterminer les valeurs et les impacts de sa bibliothèque municipale. Comment les professionnels s’approprient-ils les pratiques de mesures d’impacts au quotidien ? Peut-on proposer des mesures alternatives qui rendent compte de la valeur sociale et économique des bibliothèques pour les acteurs qui y sont impliqués, professionnels comme usagers ? Ce livret présente une démarche de recherche originale menée dans la bibliothèque de Sotteville-lès-Rouen pour questionner le sens donné aux « valeurs » que l’on peut attribuer aux établissements de lecture publique. Dans un premier temps, il dresse un portrait de la médiathèque : son histoire, la mise en place de pratiques d’évaluation et les rapports qu’entretiennent les professionnels avec ces dernières. A partir d’une approche par l’économie des conventions, il montre que les valeurs sont un construit social traversé par différents points de vue et logiques d’acteurs. Il présente ensuite la consultation qui s’est déroulée à la bibliothèque au cours de l’hiver 2021. Cette démarche consultative a consisté à associer un ensemble de personnes concernées par la bibliothèque de la ville (des membres du personnel de la bibliothèque, des usagers, une élue, le propriétaire d’une librairie rouennaise, des personnes salariées de l’éducation nationale et des centres sociaux, des personnes issues du monde associatif, etc.) dans la co-définition des valeurs et des impacts de la bibliothèque de Sotteville-lès-Rouen.
Cet article s’intéresse à la mobilité des acteurs et à ses significations au cours du XIXe siècle. Un premier examen des modalités de circulation des comédiens montre que les excursions avaient ...encore une fonction politique, voire diplomatique, à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, pour tendre vers des enjeux plus esthétiques au fur et à mesure du XIXe siècle. Un second temps de cette étude vient nuancer cette apparente émulation artistique, toujours tissée d’intérêts publicitaires et promotionnels, contribuant à dévoyer les principes de ces tournées. L'exemple de Sarah Bernhardt montre que l'émergence du vedettariat théâtral s’accompagne de nouveaux enjeux propres aux tournées, alimentés par la concurrence entre les personnalités les plus illustres des scènes internationales, et jouant de promotions individuelles outrepassant parfois la volonté d’échanges interculturels.
La dématérialisation est une révolution numérique en marche. Elle ne pouvait pas ne pas impacter les modalités d’exercice de la mission de service public qui est celle de rendre la justice. Loin de ...vouloir prendre acte des vertus ou des défauts qui lui sont prêtés, l’objectif du présent colloque est d’en dévoiler et d’en cerner la matérialité. Si elle apparaît pour beaucoup comme un nouveau - et simple - mode d’organisation qui ne serait que pratique, la dématérialisation des procédures juridictionnelles pose des questions redoutables qui ne sauraient et ne doivent être trop rapidement éludées. Elle conduit notamment à repenser les modes de communication et de transmission sur la base de nouveaux paradigmes appliqués, à l’instar par exemple de l’externalisation, sans en avoir préalablement mesuré autant les écueils que les bienfaits. L’intérêt et l’originalité du présent volume tiennent aux regards croisés des acteurs du monde judiciaire et ceci à un double niveau : d’une part entre des magistrats, agents de greffe, auxiliaires de justice et universitaires, d’autre part entre les différentes juridictions civiles, administratives et financières.
