The growth of populism in the EU member states, as a large-scale internal challenge to the European integration project, has a projection on foreign policy of both national states and the European ...Union. The EU foreign policy, towards Russia, is the area where the deviation of populist programs and strategies from the positions of the mainstream is most clearly manifested. In this regard, it is necessary to determine the foreign policy orientations of the populist radical right parties of the EU member states regarding the EU foreign policy, towards Russia, and opportunities for their synchronization. The main conclusion of this research is that populist foreign policy orientations highlight the internal heterogeneity of the populist phenomenon. Populism in power and in opposition does not have the capacity to change the EU's foreign policy towards Russia. The nature of populism as an ideology, the instrumental use by right populists of the 'theme of Russia' for 'internal consumption' and their mainstreaming in power are a significant barrier to the real challenge of the EU policy towards Russia.

Laws governing the sorption of quinoline derivatives on hypercrosslinked polystyrene are studied under conditions of reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. Factors of sorbate retention ...at different concentrations of acetonitrile in the eluent are determined. An analysis is performed of the dependences of variation in the enthalpy of sorption and the entropy term of the temperature dependence of the retention factor on the content of the organic component in the eluent for the studied compounds.

The results of studies in which the relationship of the self-organization, physicochemical properties, and bioeffects in dilute aqueous solutions of various biologically active substances sustained ...under natural and reduced levels of external physical fields (geomagnetic and low-frequency electromagnetic), as well as under exposure to ionizing radiation solutions studied by the complex of physicochemical methods, are considered. The established patterns can be used to create a scientific base related to the clarification of the mechanisms of the negative influence of hypomagnetic conditions on the functioning of living organisms necessary to ensure the normal operation of the ecosystem of spacecraft during flights.

Objective
: to evaluate the possibilities of dynamic scintigraphy for the diagnosis of esophageal dysmotility (ED) and gastroesophageal reflux (GER) in patients with systemic sclerosis (SS).
Material ...and methods
. The study group included 77 patients with established SS of different disease duration (from several months to 30 years) who underwent Technephyt 99mTc dynamic esophageal scintigraphy using two-stage protocol. During the first stage, the esophageal transport function was evaluated; during the second stage, the presence and severity of GER were assessed. Scans were analyzed using visual assessment, quantitative estimation of time/activity curves, and a proposed three-point scale for evaluating ED and GER severity. The control group consisted of 19 practically healthy individuals who underwent a routine examination to exclude digestive system and gastrointestinal tract diseases, the algorithm of which included dynamic scintigraphy.
Results
. ED was found in 74 of 77 patients (96%). According to three-point scale, severe ED (3 points) was registrated in 41 (55%) patients, moderate ED (2 points) in 15 (21%), and mild ED in 18 (24%). GER was diagnosed in 35 of 77 cases (45%): mild GER in 13 (37%), moderate GER (2 points) in 22 (63%), and none of the patients was found to have severe GER (3 points). A significant relationship between the presence of GER and the severity of ED was not obtained, but a direct correlation was established between ED and GER severity.
Conclusion
. Most SS patients demonstrated ED of varying severity associated with mild and moderate GER in nearly 45% of the cases. The study results confirm the practical significance of dynamic scintigraphy for assessing the esophageal transport function and GER in SS patients.
To evaluate the impact of single-stage selective arterial catheterizations during X-ray endovascular interventions to reduce obtained radiation doses in the treatment of patients.
X-ray endovascular ...interventions were carried out in the operating room equipped with a flat detector digital angiography system (Axiom Artis dTA, Siemens Medical System). The impact of single-stage selective arterial catheterization procedures was analyzed during endovascular interventions for coronary heart disease and uterine myomas on the time course of changes in the collective effective radiation doses for patients in the period 2013 to 2015.
Analysis of the findings showed that single-stage selective coronary angiography using a universal (multipurpose) radial coronary catheter and single-stage X-ray endovascular uterine artery embolization techniques could reduce collective effective doses for patients from 5.86 persons-Sv in 2013 to 1.6 persons-Sv in 2015.
Different single-stage selective catheterization procedures used during endovascular interventions into the coronary and uterine arteries can reduce radiation doses for patients.
Determination of the diagnostic capabilities of magnetic resonance imaging of the uterus and its appendages (MRHSG) on devices with the induction of the magnetic field 3 Tesla (T) as an alternative ...to the classic X-ray hysterosalpingography, accompanied by a significant radiation dose to the patient.
During the period from April 2015 to February 2016 12 MRHSG was conducted using magnetic resonance imaging apparatus Verio Magnetom 3T, Siemens company (Diagnostic Center "BarsMed", Kazan, Russia). We used neutral and not giving adverse reactions contrast agent – carbon dioxide. The pelvic organs – the uterus and fallopian tubes – represent the zone of interest.
Analysis of the data showed that MRHSG on the apparatus with the induction of the magnetic field of 3 T is a highly informative method in the diagnosis of tubal patency, allowing fully assess the state of the pelvic organs on the whole and identify pathology.
The absence of radiation exposure and contraindications associated with intolerance to iodinated contrast agents and other side effects differs MRHSG from the traditional X-ray method and makes MRHSG to be an alternative secure method of diagnosis, which has a number of advantages described in the article.
MRHSG on the apparatus with the induction of the magnetic field of 3 T in diagnosis of obstruction of the fallopian tubes and the visualization of the uterus and appendages diseases can be optimal and safe alternative to the X-ray hysterosalpingography, which accompanied with radiation exposure and is a number of side effects.
Choosing a treatment option for uterine fibroids is today one of the most relevant problems in gynecological practice. Thanks to the success of modern medicine and the increased level of the ...population’s culture, female patients seek medical help without waiting for the tumor to acquire significant sizes. However, in practice, there are cases when fibroids reach gigantic sizes. Hysterectomy is a traditional approach to treating uterine fibroids of these sizes according to the current clinical guidelines. The introduction of new high-tech treatments, such as uterine artery embolization, has led to a revision of radical surgery, by giving preference to alternative approaches especially in cases where the patient desires to preserve the reproductive organ. The paper describes a clinical case that confirms an individual approach to choosing a treatment option towards organ-sparing surgery for giant uterine fibroids. The use of endovascular embolization of the uterine arteries as a treatment for giant uterine fibroids is shown to be justified as an organ-sparing surgery if the patient desires to preserve reproductive function.
The paper describes a clinical case of successfully applying a transradial access during mechanical thrombus extraction in a patient in the acutest stage of ischemic stroke with a congenital ...anatomical feature (the left common carotid artery and brachiocephalic trunk with the common ostium from the aortic arch).X-ray endovascular interventions were performed in an operating room equipped with a digital angiographic unit including an Axiom Artis dTA flat detector (Siemens Medical System).Mechanical recanalization for acute occlusion of the M2 segment of the left middle cerebral artery (MCA) was carried out using a right radial access into and catheterization of the left internal carotid artery. A stent retriever was inserted into the occlusion area through a microcatheter and was opened. Double thrombus extraction from the left MCA was made using the stent retriever to restore TICI 2B blood flow. There were no signs of dissection, thrombosis, or distal thromboembolism.
Theoretical analysis shows that cutting ceramic based on silicon nitride is much stronger if the recipe is as follows:
50% Si
3
N
4
,
20% Al
2
O
3
,
19% ТiC. Dispersional hardening may be ensured by ...means of intermetallic inclusions formed by alloying elements such as molybdenum (2–3%), beryllium, and boron (0.5–1%) and also carbide-forming metals (chromium and nickel). Research indicates that the carbides formed are most favorably positioned if the initial structure of the modified cutting ceramic based on silicon nitride contains δ ferrite. That decreases their brittleness. When sintering inserts of cutting ceramic based on silicon nitride, heating ensures the solution of all the phases (primarily carbides). Otherwise, the martensitic point (or interval) increases, and the concentration and strength of martensite decline. The presence of α phase in a base consisting of γ phase also lessens the deformability of NKRK-50 cutting ceramic based on silicon nitride. Quantitatively, its effect is about the same as that of γ phase in a base consisting of α phase.
