We report here an analysis of the market for medical products for determining blood oxygen saturation currently produced around the world and in Russia and the distinctive features, advantages, and ...disadvantages of different devices are presented. An analytical review of pulse oximeters with options for remote data transmission and remote monitoring has been carried out, as these are precisely the type of devices which will be in demand in the near future due to the intensive development of telemedicine. Research in various areas demonstrates that pulse oximeters are a valuable and indispensable tool not only for medical personnel, but also for independent use by patients. The material presented in the article may be useful to Russian research groups in terms of intensifying the development of domestically produced medical products in the context of import substitution and achieving technological independence for Russia.

We performed a comparative analysis of infarction-limiting activity of analogues of opioid receptor agonist U-50488 under conditions of heart reperfusion in rats. Derivatives of amide

...-methyl-2-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)cyclohexyl-1-amine were administered 5 min before reperfusion in a dose of 1 mg/kg, derivative II (opicor) was additionally used in a dose of 2 mg/kg. In a dose of 1 mg/kg, all derivatives of opioid U-50488 were ineffective and produced no infarction-limiting effect. Opicor in a dose of 2 mg/kg reduced the infarction size/area at risk ratio and improved the contractility parameters of the isolated heart. Opioid receptor antagonist naltrexone (5 mg/kg) abolished the infarction-limiting effect of opicor. Hence, the infarction-reducing effect of opicor is associated with activation of opioid receptors. We also demonstrated that the opioid (opicor) can improve cardiac contractility during the reperfusion period.

Layered van der Waals materials of the family TaTMTe4 (TM = Ir, Rh, Ru) are showing interesting electronic properties. We report the growth and characterization of TaIrTe4, TaRhTe4, TaIr1–x Rh x Te4 ...(x = 0.06, 0.14, 0.78, 0.92), Ta1+x Ru1–x Te4 single crystals. X-ray powder diffraction confirms that TaRhTe4 is isostructural to TaIrTe4. All these compounds are metallic with diamagnetic behavior. Below T ≈ 4 K we observed signatures of the superconductivity in the TaIr1–x Rh x Te4 compounds for x = 0.92. All samples show weak quadratic-in-field magnetoresistance (MR). However, for TaIr1–x Rh x Te4 with x ≈ 0.78, the MR has a linear term dominating in low fields that indicates the presence of Dirac cones in the vicinity of the Fermi energy. For TaRhTe4 series the MR is almost isotropic. Electronic structure calculations for TaIrTe4 and TaRhTe4 reveal appearance of the Rh band close to the Fermi level.

-based ceramic materials designed for bioresorbable implants is studied. The pore size is found to ...affect the mechanical properties of such materials. The use of photocurable emulsions for the preparation of ceramic materials with a porosity higher than 50% is shown to be promising. The possibility of controlling the pore size distribution is demonstrated. The pore size decreases from 275 to 100 μm as the emulsifier content in the emulsion increases from 0.035 to 0.25 wt %. The uniaxial ultimate compressive strength of the ceramics with a relative density of 52% and an average pore size of 250 μm is 2.87 MPa.

We studied safety and clinical efficacy of transplantation of autologous bone marrow cell in complex therapy of 158 patients with chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver. The efficiency of cell ...therapy was assessed in 12 months after single injection of the cells. The positive response (alleviation of liver cirrhosis or stabilization of the pathological process) was observed in 70% cases. The efficacy of therapy correlated with the severity and etiology of the disease and was maximum in patients with Child–Pugh class A (in 82.5% cases) and class B liver cirrhosis (in 79% cases); in patients with class C liver cirrhosis, the positive response was achieved in 42.5% cases. In 39 patients, ultrasonic examination performed in 3 years after transplantation revealed no focal lesions or ectopic ossification foci.

/polyethylene glycol diacrylate has been studied. It is demonstrated that the preparation of highly porous composite materials with specified elastic properties is quite possible. The viscoelastic properties of the obtained materials are shown to depend on the preset pore size. Varying the tricalcium phosphate fraction in the highly porous hydrogel material makes it possible to control the relative stiffness of the composite.
