This paper studies the problem of prescribed performance adaptive neural control for a class of uncertain multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems in the presence of external ...disturbances and input saturation based on a disturbance observer. The system uncertainties are tackled by neural network (NN) approximation. To handle unknown disturbances, a Nussbaum disturbance observer is presented. By incorporating the disturbance observer and NNs, an adaptive prescribed performance neural control scheme is further developed. Then, the expected asymptotically convergent tracking errors between system output signals and desired signals are achieved. Numerical simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
In the Big Data era, targeted advertising develops to a more precise direction, and to improve their marketing accuracy and success rate, many enterprises begin to use it. However, the operation ...model of targeted advertising has changed. Meanwhile, for a green supply chain, products green degree is also an important factor in influencing sale. To study the pricing policies of a green supply considering targeted advertising input and products greening costs in the Big Data environment, a green supply chain with one green manufacturer and one retailer was chosen. Then, the operation model of targeted advertising in the Big Data environment was analyzed, and the demand function was revised. Based on these, four Game situations were proposed based on the Stackelberg game and Nash Equilibrium game theories and the change trends of prices with the green degree and the input level of targeted advertising were analyzed. Results indicated that the optimal retail price and the wholesale price had a negative correlation with the green degree and the input level of targeted advertising. In addition, the green manufacturer or the retailer as the leader will improve their own benefits, this shows that “first-mover advantage” is existing. For green supply chain members, this study offered a theoretical guidance on pricing policies considering targeted advertising and products green degree in the Big Data environment.

We noted that viral genetic mutations and recombination events commonly gave rise to distinct IBV genotypes, serotypes and pathotypes. In addition to characterizing the
genes, full viral genomic sequencing, comprehensive antigenicity, and pathogenicity studies on emerging variants have advanced our understanding of IBV infections, which is valuable for developing countermeasures against IBV field outbreaks. This review of IBV variants provides practical value for understanding their phylogenetic relationships and epidemiology from both regional and worldwide viewpoints.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play roles in the development and progression of many cancers; however, the contributions of lncRNAs to human gallbladder cancer (GBC) remain largely unknown. In this ...study, we identify a group of differentially expressed lncRNAs in human GBC tissues, including prognosis-associated gallbladder cancer lncRNA (lncRNA-PAGBC), which we find to be an independent prognostic marker in GBC. Functional analysis indicates that lncRNA-PAGBC promotes tumour growth and metastasis of GBC cells. More importantly, as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA), lncRNA-PAGBC competitively binds to the tumour suppressive microRNAs miR-133b and miR-511. This competitive role of lncRNA-PAGBC is required for its ability to promote tumour growth and metastasis and to activate the AKT/mTOR pathway. Moreover, lncRNA-PAGBC interacts with polyadenylate binding protein cytoplasmic 1 (PABPC1) and is stabilized by this interaction. This work provides novel insight on the molecular pathogenesis of GBC.

Novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of cancers are needed to improve precision medicine. Circular RNAs act as important regulators in cancers at the transcriptional and posttranscriptional ...levels. The circular RNA circMAN1A2 is highly expressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma according to our previous RNA sequencing data; however, the expression and functions of circMAN1A2 in cancers are still obscure. Therefore, in this study, we evaluated the expression of circMAN1A2 in the sera of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and other malignant tumors and analyzed its correlations with clinical features and diagnostic values. The expression levels of circMAN1A2 were detected by quantitative real‐time PCR, and the correlations of clinical features with circMAN1A2 expression were analyzed by χ2 tests. Receiver operating characteristic curves were used to evaluate the clinical applications of circMAN1A2. The results showed that circMAN1A2 was upregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, oral cancer, thyroid cancer, ovarian cancer, and lung cancer, with areas under the curves of 0.911, 0.779, 0.734, 0.694, and 0.645, respectively, indicating the good diagnostic value of circMAN1A2. Overall, our findings suggested that circMAN1A2 could be a serum biomarker for malignant tumors, providing important insights into diagnostic approaches for malignant tumors. Further studies are needed to elucidate the mechanisms of circMAN1A2 in the pathogenesis of cancer.
We verified that circMAN1A2 was significantly upregulated in the sera of patients with NPC, oral cancer, thyroid cancer, ovarian cancer, and lung cancer and had good clinical diagnostic value. We speculate that circMAN1A2 could be a serum biomarker for malignant cancers and provide effective clues for the early diagnosis of malignant cancers.

Plants form complex interaction networks with diverse microbiomes in the environment, and the intricate interplay between plants and their associated microbiomes can greatly influence ...ecosystem processes and functions. The phyllosphere, the aerial part of the plant, provides a unique habitat for diverse microbes, and in return the phyllosphere microbiome greatly affects plant performance. As an open system, the phyllosphere is subjected to environmental perturbations, including global change, which will impact the crosstalk between plants and their microbiomes. In this review, we aim to provide a synthesis of current knowledge of the complex interactions between plants and the phyllosphere microbiome under global changes and to identify future priority areas of research on this topic.

Due to their abundant resources and potential price advantage, potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) have recently drawn increasing attention as a promising alternative to lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) for ...their applications in electrochemical energy storage applications. Despite the continuous progress in identifying possible electrode materials, the development of KIBs has been challenged by different problems including low reversible capacities, unsatisfactory cycling stability, and insufficient energy density, which become serious concerns for the practical application of KIBs. In this review, we will summarize the recent advancements in both cathode and anode materials with focus on their structure-performance relationship. Meanwhile, challenges and opportunities related to the future development of KIBs are also discussed.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) typically involves oxygen (O2) consumption and therefore suffers from greatly limited anticancer therapeutic efficacy in tumor hypoxia. Here, it is reported for the first ...time that amine‐terminated, PAMAM dendrimer‐encapsulated gold nanoclusters (AuNCs‐NH2) can produce O2 for PDT via their intrinsic catalase‐like activity. The AuNCs‐NH2 not only show optimum H2O2 consumption via the catalase‐like activity over the physiological pH range (i.e., pH 4.8–7.4), but also extend such activity to acidic conditions. The possible mechanism is deduced from that the enriched tertiary amines of dendrimers are easily protonated in acidic solutions to facilitate the preadsorption of OH on the metal surface, thereby favorably triggering the catalase‐like reaction. By taking advantage of the exciting feature on AuNCs‐NH2, the possibility to supply O2 via the catalase‐like activity of AuNCs‐NH2 for PDT against hypoxia of cancer cells was further studied. This proof‐of‐concept study provides a simple way to combine current O2‐dependent cancer therapy of PDT to overcome cancer cell hypoxia, thus achieving more effective anticancer treatments.
PAMAM dendrimer‐encapsulated gold nanoclusters (AuNCs‐NH2) exhibit their catalase‐like activity over a pH range relevant to biological microenvironments (i.e., pH 4.8–7.4), such that AuNCs‐NH2 can catalyze physiological hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to produce O2 that self‐supplies for photodynamic therapy against hypoxic cancer cells.

Abstract
Long-lived massive magnetars are expected to be remnants of some binary neutron star (BNS) mergers. In this paper, we argue that the magnetic powered flaring activities of these merged ...magnetars would occur dominantly in their early millisecond-period-spin phase, which is in the timescale of days. Such flares endure significant absorption by the ejecta from the BNS collision, and their detectable energy range is from 0.1 to 10 MeV, in a time lag of approximately days after the merger events indicated by the gravitational wave chirps. We estimate the rate of such flares in different energy ranges, and find that there could have been 0.1–10 cases detected by Fermi/GBM. A careful search for ∼10 ms spin-period modulation in weak short gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) may identify them from the archival data. The next-generation megaelectronvolt detectors could detect them at a mildly higher rate. The recent report on the Quasi-Period-Oscillation found in two BASTE GRBs should not be considered as cases of such flares, for they were detected in a lower energy range and with a much shorter period spin modulation.
