We present a case of a patient with worsening visual acuity and dense vitreal debris who was found to have vitreal transthyretin amyloid (ATTR) infiltration. Cardiac workup, performed to identify ...systemic amyloidosis, demonstrated focal myocardial amyloid infiltration on pyrophosphate (PYP) scintigraphy and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR), resulting in a diagnosis of subclinical ATTR cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA). Patient was identified as a carrier of p.S70R mutation which results in an aggressive ATTR phenotype. Patient is tolerating transthyretin silencer therapy well. Through this case, we discuss the role of a multimodality imaging approach for the diagnosis of subclinical ATTR-CA.

Fine needle aspiration (FNA) diagnosis of pilomatrixoma is rare. The cytologic presentation can be mistaken for squamous cell carcinoma because of high cellularity, high nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio and ...presence of anucleate squames.
A 25-year-old male presented to Cook County Hospital with a slowly enlarging neck mass of three months' duration. FNA was interpreted as consisted with pilomatrixoma. Subsequently the patient had the mass removed. Histology confirmed the diagnosis of pilomatrixoma.
The wide range of cell differentiation in conjunction with pertinent clinical findings, absence of nuclear atypia, tumor diathesis, mitotic figures and awareness of the entity lead to the correct diagnosis of pilomatrixoma.

A 45-yr-old female patient was admitted with signs and symptoms of acute pancreatitis. She had no history of gallstones, alcohol, or trauma. Her CT scan was consistent with a cystic lesion of the ...pancreas. Because of her presenting symptoms and signs, she was initially treated as an acute pancreatitis. Followup CT scan showed absolutely no change in the cyst. Surgical consultation was requested. A diagnosis of a neoplastic cyst was made, and the patient was taken to surgery where a distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy was performed. Pathology revealed a leiomyosarcoma of the pancreas. Only 15 other cases of leiomyosarcoma of the pancreas have been reported thus far in literature.
