One of the main principle goals for threat protection is to understand the behavior of the employee. An employee who is trusted will have the potential to cause more harm to the organization by ...collapsing the stability of the computing systems. Thus, insider threat is one of the major security flaws and is very hard to overcome. Currently, in Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) organization, there is a lack of a framework to access such insider threats in their daily operations as well as no data dissemination Standard Operation Policies. Hence, the objective of this research study is to identify the insider threat factors in order to propose best practices, guidelines, policies and security procedures to effectively manage them. This research adapted a mix method approach which is the quantitative methodology in phase one followed by the qualitative method accomplished through semi-structured interviews in a second phase. In the quantitative phase, all the factors were verified and validated by distributing the survey questionnaire to 384 participants from different locations which include the RMP officer, security specialist and administrative officers. The outcome of quantitative data collection was categorized into eight specific influencing factors. These eight factors were further validated through an interview session with 50 participants. The identified factors will be used for design and development of information security best design practices and also as mitigation methods to reduce insider threat risk in the RMP organization.

Progression through the cell cycle is driven by the activities of the cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) family of enzymes, which establish an ordered passage through the cell cycle phases. CDK activity ...is crucial for the cellular transitions from G1 to S and G2 to M, which are highly controlled to promote the faithful duplication of the genetic material and the transmission of the genome into daughter cells, respectively. While oscillations in CDK activity are essential for cell division, how its specific dynamics may shape cellular processes remains an open question. Recently, we have investigated the potential role of CDK in establishing the profile of replication initiation along the chromosomes, also referred to as the replication program. Our results demonstrated that the timing and level of CDK activity at G1/S provide two critical and independent inputs that modulate the pattern of origin usage. In this review, we will present the conclusions of our study and discuss the implications of our findings for cellular function and physiology.

In the present paper, we describe a 2.5D (two-and-a-half-dimensional) magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulation that provides a detailed picture of the evolution of cool jets triggered by initial vertical ...velocity perturbations in the solar chromosphere. We implement random multiple velocity, Vy, pulses of amplitude 20–50 km s−1 between 1 Mm and 1.5 Mm in the Sun’s atmosphere below its transition region (TR). These pulses also consist of different switch-off periods between 50 s and 300 s. The applied vertical velocity pulses create a series of magnetoacoustic shocks steepening above the TR. These shocks interact with each other in the inner corona, leading to complex localized velocity fields. The upward propagation of such perturbations creates low-pressure regions behind them, which propel a variety of cool jets and plasma flows in the localized corona. The localized complex velocity fields generate transverse oscillations in some of these jets during their evolution. We study the transverse oscillations of a representative cool jet J1, which moves up to the height of 6.2 Mm above the TR from its origin point. During its evolution, the plasma flows make the spine of jet J1 radially inhomogeneous, which is visible in the density and Alfvén speed smoothly varying across the jet. The highly dense J1, which is triggered along the significantly curved magnetic field lines, supports the propagating transverse wave of period of approximately 195 s with a phase speed of about 125 km s−1. In the distance–time map of density, it is manifested as a transverse kink wave. However, the careful investigation of the distance–time maps of the x- and z-components of velocity reveals that these transverse waves are actually of mixed Alfvénic modes. The transverse wave shows evidence of damping in the jet. We conclude that the cross-field structuring of the density and characteristic Alfvén speed within J1 causes the onset of the resonant conversion and leakage of the wave energy outward to dissipate these transverse oscillations via resonant absorption. The wave energy flux is estimated as approximately of 1.0 × 106 ergs cm−2 s−1. This energy, if it dissipates through the resonant absorption into the corona where the jet is propagated, is sufficient energy for the localized coronal heating.
Abstract
Histone post-translational modifications promote a chromatin environment that controls transcription, DNA replication and repair, but surprisingly few phosphorylations have been documented. ...We report the discovery of histone H3 serine-57 phosphorylation (H3S57ph) and show that it is implicated in different DNA repair pathways from fungi to vertebrates. We identified CHK1 as a major human H3S57 kinase, and disrupting or constitutively mimicking H3S57ph had opposing effects on rate of recovery from replication stress, 53BP1 chromatin binding, and dependency on RAD52. In fission yeast, mutation of all H3 alleles to S57A abrogated DNA repair by both non-homologous end-joining and homologous recombination, while cells with phospho-mimicking S57D alleles were partly compromised for both repair pathways, presented aberrant Rad52 foci and were strongly sensitised to replication stress. Mechanistically, H3S57ph loosens DNA-histone contacts, increasing nucleosome mobility, and interacts with H3K56. Our results suggest that dynamic phosphorylation of H3S57 is required for DNA repair and recovery from replication stress, opening avenues for investigating the role of this modification in other DNA-related processes.

Understanding the nondualistic nature of mindfulness is a complex and challenging task particularly when most clinical psychology draws from Western methodologies and methods. In this article, we ...argue that the integration of philosophical hermeneutics with Eastern philosophy and practices may provide a methodology and methods to research mindfulness practice. Mindfulness hermeneutics brings together the nondualistically aligned Western philosophies of Heidegger and Gadamer and selected Eastern philosophies and practices in an effort to bridge the gap between these differing worldviews. Based on the following: (1) fusion of horizons, (2) being in a hermeneutic circle, (3) understanding as intrinsic to awareness, and (4) the ongoing practice of meditation, a mindfulness hermeneutic approach was used to illuminate deeper understandings of mindfulness practice in ways that are congruent with its underpinning philosophies.

We present the formation of quasi-periodic cool spicule-like jets in the solar atmosphere using 2.5-D numerical simulation in two-fluid regime (ions+neutrals) under the presence of thermal conduction ...and ion-neutral collision. The nonlinear, impulsive Alfvénic perturbations at the top of the photosphere trigger field aligned magnetoacoustic perturbations due to ponderomotive force. The transport of energy from Alfvén pulse to such vertical velocity perturbations due to ponderomotive force is considered as an initial trigger mechanism. Thereafter, these velocity perturbations steepen into the shocks followed by quasi-periodic rise and fall of the cool jets transporting mass in the overlying corona. Abstract
We use multiwavelength imaging observations from the Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory to study the evolution of the Kelvin–Helmholtz (K–H) ...instability in a fan-spine magnetic field configuration. This magnetic topology exists near an active region AR12297 and is rooted in a nearby sunspot. In this magnetic configuration, two layers of cool plasma flow in parallel and interact with each other inside an elongated spine. The slower plasma flow (5 km s
−1
) is the reflected stream along the spine’s field lines from the top, which interacts with the impulsive plasma upflows (114–144 km s
−1
) from below. This process generates a shear motion and subsequent evolution of the K–H instability. The amplitude and characteristic wavelength of the K–H unstable vortices increase, satisfying the criterion of the fastest-growing mode of this instability. We also describe how the velocity difference between two layers and the velocity of K–H unstable vortices are greater than the Alfvén speed in the second denser layer, which also satisfies the criterion of the growth of the K–H instability. In the presence of the magnetic field and sheared counterstreaming plasma as observed in the fan-spine topology, we estimate the parametric constant Λ ≥ 1, which confirms the dominance of velocity shear and the evolution of the linear phase of the K–H instability. This observation indicates that in the presence of complex magnetic field structuring and flows, the fan-spine configuration may evolve into rapid heating, while the connectivity changes due to the fragmentation via the K–H instability.
In this paper, we describe the kinematical and evolutionary properties of the impulsive cool jets in the solar atmosphere using numerical simulation by Godunov-type PLUTO code at two different ...quiet-Sun magnetic field strengths (B=56 gauss and B=112 gauss). These types of chromospheric jets originate due to a pressure pulse, which mimics the after-effects of the localized heating in the lower solar atmosphere. These jets may be responsible for the transport of mass and energy in the localized upper atmosphere (i.e. corona). The detection of the height–time profiles for the jets, which were developed by imposing different pressure pulses, exhibit asymmetric near-parabolic behaviour. This infers that the upward motion of the jet occurs under the influence of pressure perturbation. However, its downward motion is not only governed by the gravitational free fall, but also by the complex plasma motions near its base under the effect of counter-propagating pulses. The maximum height and lifetime of the jets with respect to the strength of the pressure pulse show a linear increasing trend. This suggests that if the extent of the heating and, thus, the pressure perturbations are longer, then more longer chromospheric jets can be triggered from the same location in the chromosphere. For a certain amplitude of pressure pulse, the strong magnetic field configuration (B=112 gauss) leads to more longer jets compared with the weaker field (B=56 gauss). This suggests that the strong magnetic field guides the pressure-pulse-driven jets more efficiency towards the higher corona. In conclusion, our model mimics the properties and evolution of the variety of the cool impulsive jets in the chromosphere (e.g. macrospicules, network jets, isolated repeated cool jets, confined and small surges, and so on.).
