Results are presented for 2H, 3He, 4He, 9B, 12C, 63Cu and 197Au at an incident electron beam energy of 5.77 GeV for a range of momentum transfer from Q2 = 2 to 7 (GeV/c)2. These data improve the precision of the existing measurements of the EMC effect in the nuclear targets at large x, and allow for more detailed examinations of the A dependence of the EMC effect.

We present new data on electron scattering from a range of nuclei taken in Hall C at Jefferson Lab. For heavy nuclei, we observe a rapid falloff in the cross section for x>1, which is sensitive to ...short-range contributions to the nuclear wave function, and in deep inelastic scattering corresponds to probing extremely high momentum quarks. This result agrees with higher energy muon scattering measurements, but is in sharp contrast to neutrino scattering measurements which suggested a dramatic enhancement in the distribution of the "superfast" quarks probed at x>1. The falloff at x>1 is noticeably stronger in 2H and 3He, but nearly identical for all heavier nuclei.

New Jefferson Lab data are presented on the nuclear dependence of the inclusive cross section from 2H, 3He, 4He, 9Be and 12C for 0.3<x<0.9, Q^2 approximately 3-6 GeV^2. These data represent the first ...measurement of the EMC effect for 3He at large x and a significant improvement for 4He. The data do not support previous A-dependent or density-dependent fits to the EMC effect and suggest that the nuclear dependence of the quark distributions may depend on the local nuclear environment.

A high precision measurement of the proton elastic form factor ratio $\mu G_{\mathrm{E}}/G_{\mathrm{M}}$ in the range of $Q^2$=0.3 - 0.7~GeV/$c^2$ has been made using recoil polarimetry method in ...Jefferson Lab Hall A. In this low $Q^2$ range, previous data (Bates, LEDEX) along with many fits and calculations indicate substantial deviations of the ratio from unity, and continue to suggest that structures might be present in the individual form factors, and in the ratio. In E08-007, with 80\% polarized electron beam for 24 days, we are able to achieve $\sim 0.5\%$ statistical uncertainty. This high precision result will confirm or reute all existing suggestions of few percent structures in the form factors ratio. Beyond the intrinsic interest in nucleon structure, the improved form factor measurements also have implications for DVCS, determinations of the proton Zemach radius and for parity violation experiments.

Problemstellung
Eine Thrombose der Intra- oder extrarenalen Nierenvenen kommt hauptsächlich bei Neugeborenen vor, definiert als Neonatale Nierenvenenthrombose (NVT). In der Diagnostik zeigt sich v.a. ...eine Trias mit Vergrößerung der Nieren, Makrohämaturie und Proteinurie, welche bei fast allen Patienten nachgewiesen werden kann. Blutuntersuchung und Gerinnungsdiagnostik bringen meist keine weiterführenden Hinweise, außer bei hereditären Koagulopathien, welche durch eine gut durchgeführte Familienanmnese schon ausgeschlossen sein sollte. Eine exakte Inzidenz einer NVT ist nicht dokumentiert. An der Medizinischen Universität Innsbruck zeigte sich seit dem Jahr 2001 bis 2009 ein Median von 1,5/Jahr. Verschiedene Ursachen wie perinatale Risiken, DM der Mutter oder Dehydratation stehen im Vordergrund bei Patienten wo prothrombotische Risikofaktoren (Z.b. Lupus Antikoagulans, Protein C, Protein S, Faktor V Leiden, Prothrombin Gene, MTHFR Methylenenterahydrofolate) ausgeschlossen werden konnten.
Patienten und Methoden
In dieser Kasuistik werden 2 kontroverse Verläufe und Therapieregimes männlicher Termingeborener mit einer NVT diskutiert. Während sich bei Patient 1 klinisch eine Makrohämaturie präsentierte, fiel in einer Routinesonografie bei Patient 2 der Befund einer NVT auf. Einziges Risikomerkmal bei Patient 1 war die Zwillingsschwangerschaft in der Anamnese zu erheben, jedoch fehlen bei Patient 2 jegliche Hinweise einer Risikoschwangerschaft oder sonstige Faktoren, welche Ursache für die NVT hätte sein können.
Ergebnisse
Patient 1 erhielt bis zum 4. Lebensjahr eine symptomatische Therapie bei stetig ansteigenden Nierenfunktionsparametern bis zur CNI V, und erhielt im Jahr 2006 eine Nierentransplantation, die ohne jegliche thrombotische Komplikation einherging. Bei Patient 2 wurde eine Therapie mit low dose Heparin für insgesamt 12 Monate durchgeführt, im gesamten Verlauf zeigte sich keine Einschränkung der Nierenfunktionsparameter, im weiteren auch keine Proteinurie, Hämaturie Oder erhöhte Blutdruckwerte.
Schlussfolgerungen
Verschiedene Symptome können auf eine NVT hindeuten, eine frühzeitige Diagnosestellung und eine den Ursachen und der Ausprägung angepasste Therapie ist essentiell.

The electric form factor of the neutron was determined from measurements of the d-->(e-->,e'n)p reaction for quasielastic kinematics. Polarized electrons were scattered off a polarized deuterated ...ammonia (15ND3) target in which the deuteron polarization was perpendicular to the momentum transfer. The scattered electrons were detected in a magnetic spectrometer in coincidence with neutrons in a large solid angle detector. We find G(n)(E)=0.0526+/-0.0033(stat)+/-0.0026(sys) and 0.0454+/-0.0054+/-0.0037 at Q(2)=0.5 and 1.0 (GeV/c)(2), respectively.
