Most Muslims find it hard to memorize the Qur’an due to certain factors. This research explored the effect of spiritual intelligence and religious faith on self-regulation. Having quantitative ...design, three instruments were used in this analysis; self-regulation scale (S-SR) (α=0.621), religious faith scale (S-RF) (α=0.986), and spiritual intelligence scale (S-SI) (α=0.890). Four hundred (400) students in the tahfiz Al-Qur’an program from some Islamic boarding schools in Surabaya were selected through purposive sampling. The results from multiple regression showed that spiritual intelligence and religious faith significantly predicted self-regulation. In other words, both spiritual intelligence and religious faith had a positive effect on self-regulation. Besides, spiritual intelligence also positively affected self-regulation. The more positive students assessed their spiritual intelligence, the higher their self-regulation. That self-regulation then made students get more engaged with their activity of memorizing the Quran.
First year undergraduete students need high subjective well-being to reduce the negative emotions they feel. Having correlational quantitative design, this research involving 250 first year students at three Bojonegoro universities as a sample which is taken by quota sampling technique. There are four instruments used, namely satisfaction with life scale (SWLS), scale of positive and negative experiences (SPANE), life orientation test-revised (LOT-R) and Centrality Religiosity Scale (CRS). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result shows that partially optimism and religiosity have a significant effect on subjective well-being. Besides, both optimism and religiosity contribute forming subjective well-being. Contribution of the two variables shows that other variables can be used for further research. Abstrak: Mahasiswa tahun pertama membutuhkan subjective well-being yang tinggi untuk mengurangi emosi-emosi negatif yang dirasakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh optimisme dan religiusitas terhadap subjective well-being. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 250 mahasiswa tahun pertama di tiga perguruan tinggi Bojonegoro. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan quota sampling. Ada empat macam inStrument yang digunakan yaitu satisfaction with life scale (SWLS), scale of positive and negative experiences (SPANE),life orientation test-revised (LOT-R) dan Centrality Religiosity Scale (CRS). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa optimisme dan religiusitas masing-masing menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap terbentuknya subjective well-being. Optimisme dan religiusitas juga bersama-sama berkontribusi terhadap subjective well-being. Pengaruh kedua variable mengimplikasikan bahwa mahasiswa membutuhkan upaya mempertahankan optimisme dan mengasah religiusitasnya untuk mlain yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan subjective well-being.
This research study about the correlation between personality trait and psychological climate with teacher’s self-efficacy. Instruments used are NEO-big five scale from Costa and McCrae, teacher’s ...self-efficacy scales and psychological climate questionnaire. Data analyzed with statistics regression. The result shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between personality trait and self-efficacy. Traits of extraversion, conscientiousness and openness significantly contribute to self-efficacy while neuroticism and agreeableness have no significant contribution. Besides, there is also positive and significant correlation between psychological climate and self-efficacy. At last, personality traits and psychological climate at school together give contribution to self-efficacy significantly.
Pressure in undergoing the academic process in lectures often makes students feel stressed which can reduce student academic resilience. This study aims to see the effectiveness of expressive writing ...therapy on increasing academic resilience. Using quantitative experimental research method with a Two Group PreTest PostTest Design, this study involved 20 students who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The measuring instrument used is the Resilient Questionnaire Scale, which is constructed based on seven resilience aspects by Reivich and Shatte. Data analysis using paired sample T-Test in the experimental group showed a pretest score of 130.93 and a posttest score of 213.40 with the Sig. value obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. These results indicate an increase in posttest scores in the experimental group, so the applied expressive writing therapy appears to be effective in enhancing academic resilience in students

Having correlational quantitative research design, this research involved 94 teachers who teach in kindergartens. Quota technique sampling was used to have the sample. There are three instruments used, namely the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale, Spiritual well-being questionnaire (SWBQ) scale, and self-efficacy scale. The result showed that spiritual well-being and self-efficacy have an effect on burnout among kindergarten teachers. Partially spiritual well-being has a positive effect on burnout and self-efficacy has a negative effect. The contribution of the two variables shows that other variables can be used for further research. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 94 guru yang mengajar di TK. Teknik quota sampling digunakan untuk mengambil sample penelitian. Anxiety about English is still felt in the learner at the college level, especially in dealing with reading sources in English. This study aims to see how individual factors (self-efficacy, belief, ...and motivation) effect the anxiety experienced by students in learning English. Research design use correlational research involving 100 students at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung from psychology faculty and faculty of education and teacher training. Sampling technique is using stratified random sampling. There are four instruments used which are Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale, Children’s Self-efficacy Scale, The Beliefs about Language Learning Inventory (BALLI) and motivation in learning english instrument. Data is analysed using statistic analysis of multiple regression. Results show that this each following variables which are self-efficacy, belief, and motivation has significant correlation with anxiety in learning English. Besides, there is also significant correlation between self-efficacy, belief, motivation and anxiety in learning English.
Atlet seringkali merasakan ketegangan dan kecemasan sebelum dan saat menjalani pertandingan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan sosial terhadap kecemaan ...yang atlet rasakan saat menghadapi pertandingan (competitive anxiety). Menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional, penelitian ini melibatkan 136 atlet pencak silat di Jombang yang tergabung dalam Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (IPSI). Teknik pengambilan sample menggunakan purposive sampling. Ada tiga alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2R (CSAI-2R), Brief Emotional Intelligence Scale, dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kecerdasan emosi dan dukungan sosial memberikan pengaruh terhadap terbentuknya kecemasan saat bertanding. Atlet yang cerdas mengelola emosi serta mendapatkan dukungan sosial yang baik akan mampu mengelola kecemasan yang dirasakan saat menghadapi pertandingan. Uji secara partial juga menggambarkan pengaruh masing-masing variable baik kecerdasan emosi maupun dukungan sosial ikut berpengaruh pada kecemasan.
Competition among companies made the majority of employees faced high demand on their job and achievement. Hence, it eventually stimulated the occurrence of burnout more frequently. This study aims ...to dexplore the correlation of work stress and hardiness with burnout. Using three psychological measurement tools, namely The Burnout Scale, Work Stress Scale, and Hardiness Scale, this quantitative research measured 91 employees in Surabaya. The result showed that work stress and hardiness have correlation with burnout. Partially work stress has a positive correlation with burnout, while hardiness has a negative correlation with burnout. Contribution of those variabels showed that there were possibly other variables that can be used in further research.Persaingan antar perusahaan menyebabkan tuntutan pekerjaaan yang tinggi sehingga menyebabkan burnout di kalangan pekerja sering terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh stres kerja dan hardiness terhadap burnout. Peneliti menggunakan tiga alat ukur psikologis yaitu Skala Burnout (MBI), Skala Stres Kerja dan Skala Hardiness. Penelitian kuantitattif ini melibatkan 91 pekerja umum di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara stres kerja dan hardiness dengan burnout pada pekerja. Secara parsial stres kerja berkorelasi positif terhadap burnout, sementara hardiness berkorelasi negatif terhadap burnout. Kontribusi kedua variabel menunjukkan ada variabel lain yang bisa digunakan pada penelitain selanjutnya.
Job satisfaction is the positive perception of an individual about his/her job. Determinants of individual satisfaction and dissatisfaction include social factors. Workplace aggression is a social ...problem that occurs in the workplace. The objectives of this study were to examine: (i) the level of work aggression demonstrated by employees at PT. ABC in Tangerang Banten in the cutting subdivision; (ii) the level of job satisfaction in employees; and (iii) the relationship between aggression in the workplace and job satisfaction. Quantitative correlation methods were used. 53 participants were recruited through purposive sampling out of the population of 103 employees in the cutting subdivision. The eligibility criteria included that respondents must be registered as permanent or contract employees, not temporary employees. Data were collected using a Likert model scale instrument, consisting of: (i) a workplace aggression scale based on aggression indicators (Baron & Branscombe); and (ii) a job satisfaction scale based on the form of expression of job dissatisfaction to employees (Robbins). The results of this study indicated that: (i) aggression at work in the cutting subdivision employees of PT. ABC in Tangerang, Banten was relatively high; (ii) job satisfaction was generally relatively low; and (iii) there was a significant relationship between aggression at work and job satisfaction.

The COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has changed human life. The issue of education for children with special needs is increasingly difficult to implement during the pandemic. This study aims to obtain an ...overview of parenting styles during the COVID-19 pandemic for Indonesian Muslim families who have children with special needs. This research use a mixed method with a sequential explanatory approach where the quantitative method was followed by qualitative. Participants involved 18 families who have children with special needs. Data collection used the Parenting Scale which consists of 30 items. The results showed that most of the subjects experienced dysfunctional parenting with verbosity as the highest dysfunctional aspect. Qualitatively, the results lead to dysfunctional parenting. The pandemic period was indeed not easy to go through, especially for families who have children with special needs. This research shows that the challenging circumstances created by the pandemic can result in dysfunctional parenting. Parents should remain alert for signs of over-reactivity, verbosity, and looseness that can hinder effective parenting.
