In this paper a research of furniture market of Vojvodina province (Serbia) is presented. The main goal was to establish if there is a market for customized furniture and what kind of customization ...would be welcomed from the customers point of view. For the purposes of research a questionary was composed. Results presented in the paper are derived from that questionary and presented in tables and diagrams. In the end a sum of conclusions was made on whole topic of research. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
We contribute to the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) literature in two ways: (i) we consider how societal aspects are taken into account in research and innovation activities in four ...fundamentally different futures, as opposed to analysing current practices; and (ii) put the emphasis on the framework conditions, as opposed to focussing on RRI principles and instruments. In the Kingdom of RRI citizens participate directly in decision-making processes; Fortress Europe depicts a libertarian system; Failed Democracy is a populist regime; while Benevolent Green Eurocrats describes a technocratically coordinated strong state. The RRI concept is ignored, manipulated, or rather selectively applied in the latter three scenarios. The scenarios offer novel insights into the nature and repercussions of possible policy problems. We discuss issues related to efficacy and efficiency of policy-making; legitimacy of research and innovation activities; societal involvement; equity; and freedom of research in each scenario. We also posit that there is room for safeguarding meaningful interactions between the societal and professional actors in an innovation system even in the harshest framework conditions.
Sustainable open innovation often has idea generation as a key step. When faced with challenge of stimulating ideation, organizations have few things they are sure about. An experiment was conducted ...to identify what type of stimulating written communication yields the biggest number of submitted ideas from students as users of educational services from their university. Results show that users generate more ideas when they are presented with specific problems that need solution than when they are generally asked to give any ideas for improvement they have. These results are discussed in the context of stimulating ideation through open innovation software platforms. This research tried to examine possible communication stimuli that may lead to bigger number of submitted ideas by users. In conclusion, the results of this research are applied to the field of open innovation software.
