In order to understand the application of big data analysis in the design of elderly-oriented renovation spaces, an application study of big data analysis in the design of elderly-oriented renovation ...spaces has been proposed. The rapid development of the economy has led to the prosperity and spatial expansion of cities. At the same time, social issues such as land scarcity, traffic congestion, environmental pollution, and the uneven allocation of urban spatial resources have led to social polarization, marginalization of the interests of vulnerable groups, and seriously affected the physical and mental health of residents. With the intensification of the aging trend of the world population, aging has become a major global strategic issue. How to create a truly suitable spatial environment for elderly living has become a question worth considering. This article uses methods such as questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews to obtain a large amount of data, analyze the current situation of the living space of the elderly in Changchun City, the physiological and psychological needs, activity characteristics, social interaction characteristics, etc. of the elderly group, and then propose suggestions for the planning and design of the living space of healthy urban elderly.
In this study, we systematically investigate the mechanism of single-layer MnO2 nanosheets suppressing fluorescence of 7-hydroxycoumarin and, based on this, demonstrate a new fluorescent method for ...in vivo sensing of ascorbic acid (AA) in rat brain. The mechanism for the fluorescence suppression is attributed to a combination of inner filter effect (IFE) and static quenching effect (SQE), which is different from those reported for the traditional two-dimensional nanosheets, and Förster resonant energy transfer (FRET) mechanism reported for MnO2 nanosheets. The combination of IFE and SQE leads to an exponential decay in fluorescence intensity of 7-hydroxycoumarin with increasing concentration of MnO2 nanosheets in solution. Such a property allows optimization of the concentration of MnO2 nanosheets in such a way that the addition of reductive analyte (e.g., AA) will to the greatest extent restore the MnO2 nanosheets-suppressed fluorescence of 7-hydroxycoumarin through the redox reaction between AA and MnO2 nanosheets. On the basis of this feature, we demonstrate a fluorescent method for in vivo sensing of AA in the cerebral systems with an improved sensitivity. Compared with the turn-on fluorescent method through first decreasing the fluorescence to the lowest level by adding concentrated MnO2 nanosheets, the method demonstrated here possesses a higher sensitivity, lower limit of detection, and wider linear range. Upon the use of ascorbate oxidase to achieve the selectivity for AA, the turn-on fluorescence method demonstrated here can be used for in vivo sensing of AA in a simple but reliable way.

With the progress of computer technology, discipline construction, new management ideas, management modes and management technologies gradually penetrate into all aspects of information construction, ...which leads to the further improvement of the level of informationisation. To better realise the dual functions of discipline construction and comprehensive management of graduate education, the advantages of the Hopfield Network (HN) algorithm, which is easy to realise and improve information processing efficiency and programme maintenance, are brought into play. This paper conducts an in-depth study on the comprehensive management system of graduate education based on the HN algorithm. The technical feasibility of the integrated postgraduate education management system is 73%. The economic feasibility of the integrated graduate education management system is 68%, with other feasibility variables remaining unchanged. Moreover, the design of the integrated graduate education management system is more reasonable at 71%, which is much higher than the 29% for the traditional system.

The combination treatment of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma and chitosan coatings was performed on ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers in order to improve the wettability, dyeability and adhesion properties. The properties of UHMWPE fibers coated with chitosan, after being pretreated by DBD plasma, were evaluated through scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The interfacial shear strength (IFSS) between the fiber and the epoxy resin was determined using the single fiber pull-out test technique. The modified UHMWPE fibers were dyed with reactive dyes after the combined treatment. Surface wettability and dyeability were investigated by water contact angle and K/S measurement, respectively. SEM images confirmed that the chitosan was induced onto the surfaces of the UHMWPE fibers after the combined treatment. The XPS analysis showed that the oxygen and nitrogen contents of the UHMWPE fiber surfaces after the combined treatment were higher than that of the fiber modified by chitosan without DBD plasma pretreatment. Meanwhile, the UHMWPE fibers treated with combination of DBD plasma and chitosan treatment had better wettability, dyeability and adhesion property than those of the non-plasma pretreated surfaces, indicating that DBD plasma pretreatment facilitated the deposition of chitosan onto the UHMWPE surfaces.

The high surface energy of TiO2 nanoparticulate leads to the aggregation of nanoparticles. The grafted modification of nanoparticles is necessary in order to improve its dispersibility in the organic ...solvent. The effect of grafted modification with silane coupling agent on dispersibility and lipophilicity of TiO2 nanoparticles was investigated. The factors of the modification were discussed, such as the amount of silane coupling agent, pH value, and reaction time. The average sizes of the TiO2 nanoparticles were 200–300 nm. The thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) curves indicated that the TiO2 nanoparticle surface had been grafted with the silane coupling agent. The zeta potential showed that modified TiO2 could disperse well in the organic solvent. The lipophilic degree and contact angle suggested that the modified TiO2 had low surface energy and changed from a hydrophilic nature to a lipophilic nature.

The ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a global public health concern due to relatively easy ...person-to-person transmission and the current lack of effective antiviral therapy. However, the exact molecular mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis remain largely unknown.
Genome-wide screening was used to establish intraviral and viral-host interactomes. Quantitative proteomics was used to investigate the peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) proteome signature in COVID-19.
We elucidated 286 host proteins targeted by SARS-CoV-2 and >350 host proteins that are significantly perturbed in COVID-19-derived PBMCs. This signature in severe COVID-19 PBMCs reveals a significant upregulation of cellular proteins related to neutrophil activation and blood coagulation, as well as a downregulation of proteins mediating T cell receptor signaling. From the interactome, we further identified that non-structural protein 10 interacts with NF-κB-repressing factor (NKRF) to facilitate interleukin-8 (IL-8) induction, which potentially contributes to IL-8-mediated chemotaxis of neutrophils and the overexuberant host inflammatory response observed in COVID-19 patients.
Our study not only presents a systematic examination of SARS-CoV-2-induced perturbation of host targets and cellular networks but it also reveals insights into the mechanisms by which SARS-CoV-2 triggers cytokine storms, representing a powerful resource in the pursuit of therapeutic interventions.

Depression is a highly prevalent disorder of the central nervous system. The neuropsychiatric symptoms of clinical depression are persistent and include fatigue, anorexia, weight loss, altered sleep ...patterns, hyperalgesia, melancholia, anxiety, and impaired social behaviours. Mounting evidences suggest that neuroinflammation triggers dysregulated cellular immunity and increases susceptibility to psychiatric diseases. Neuroimmune responses have transformed the clinical approach to depression because of their roles in its pathophysiology and their therapeutic potential. In particular, activated regulatory T (Treg) cells play an increasingly evident role in the inflammatory immune response. In this review, we summarized the available data and discussed in depth the fundamental roles of Tregs in the pathogenesis of depression, as well as the clinical therapeutic potential of Tregs. We aimed to provide recent information regarding the potential of Tregs as immune-modulating biologics for the treatment and prevention of long-term neuropsychiatric symptoms of depression.
