qRT-PCR and western blot were conducted to measure relevant RNA and protein expressions. CCK-8, colony formation, EdU, flow cytometry, wound-healing, transwell assays and xenograft experiments were performed to determine the role of linc01134 in HCC. ChIP and luciferase reporter assays were performed to analyze the effects of Yin Yang-1 (YY1) on linc01134 transcription activity. Relevant mechanical experiments were performed to verify interaction between relative genes.
YY1 enhanced linc01134 transcription by interacting with linc01134 promoter. Knockdown of linc01134 inhibited proliferation, migration and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), yet promoting apoptosis in HCC cells. Mechanically, linc01134 acted as miR-324-5p sponge and interacted with insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 1 (IGF2BP1) to increase the stability of YY1 mRNA expression. Up-regulated YY1 continuously stimulated linc01134 expression by enhancing linc01134 promoter activity, forming a positive feedback loop.
Linc01134/miR-324-5p/IGF2BP1/YY1 feedback loop mediates HCC progression, which possibly provide prognosis and treatment target of HCC.

The recent proliferation of sustainable and eco-friendly renewable energy engineering is a hot topic of worldwide significance with regard to combatting the global environmental crisis. To curb ...renewable energy intermittency and integrate renewables into the grid with stable electricity generation, secondary battery-based electrical energy storage (EES) technologies are regarded as the most promising solution, due to their prominent capability to store and harvest green energy in a safe and cost-effective way. Due to the wide availability and low cost of sodium resources, sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are regarded as a promising alternative for next-generation large-scale EES systems. This review discusses in detail the key differences between lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) and SIBs for different application requirements and describes the current understanding of SIBs. By comparing technological evolutions among LIBs, lead-acid batteries (LABs), and SIBs, the advantages of SIBs are unraveled. This review also offers highlights on commercial achievements that have been realized based on current SIB technology, focusing on an introduction of five major SIB companies, each with SIB chemistry and technology, as well as commercialized SIB products. Last but not least, it discusses outlooks and key challenges for the commercialization of next-generation SIBs.

Background Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a widespread endocrine disorder among women, characterized by symptoms like ovarian cysts, hormonal imbalance, and metabolic issues. This research ...evaluates the therapeutic potential of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cell-derived exosomes (BMSC-Exo) in treating PCOS symptoms within a mouse model. Methods BMSC-Exo were isolated from NMRI mice, characterized using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA), and administered to a PCOS mouse model induced by dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). The efficacy of BMSC-Exo was assessed in three groups of mice: a control group, a PCOS group, and a PCOS group treated with intravenous BMSC-Exo. Morphological changes in ovarian tissue were examined by Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining, apoptosis was determined using the TUNEL assay, and CD31 expression was analyzed through immunofluorescent staining to assess angiogenic activity. Results The existence of BMSCs-Exo was confirmed via TEM and NTA, revealing their distinct cup-shaped morphology and a size range of 30 to 150 nanometers. H&E staining revealed that BMSCs-Exo treatment improved ovarian morphology in PCOS models, increasing corpora lutea and revitalizing granulosa cell layers, suggesting a reversal of PCOS-induced damage. TUNEL assays showed that BMSCs-Exo treatment significantly reduced apoptosis in PCOS-affected ovarian cells to levels comparable with the control group, highlighting its role in mitigating PCOS-induced cellular apoptosis. Immunofluorescence for CD31 indicated that BMSCs-Exo treatment normalized endothelial marker expression and angiogenic activity in PCOS models, suggesting its effectiveness in modulating the vascular irregularities of PCOS. Collectively, these findings demonstrate the therapeutic potential of BMSCs-Exo in addressing ovarian dysfunction, cellular apoptosis, and aberrant angiogenesis associated with PCOS. Conclusion The study substantiates the role of BMSC-Exo in mitigating the deleterious effects of PCOS on ovarian tissue, with implications for enhanced follicular development and reduced cellular stress. The modulation of CD31 by BMSC-Exo further highlights their potential in normalizing PCOS-induced vascular anomalies. These findings propel the need for clinical investigations to explore BMSC-Exo as a promising therapeutic avenue for PCOS management. To improve the accuracy of three-dimensional (3D) surface contour measurements of freeform optics, a two-dimensional (2D) tilt measurement sensor for confocal microscopy (CM) systems is proposed ...based on a double-cylindrical mirror structure. First, the proposed system is accurately modeled. Second, we introduce a modified mean–shift-based peak-extraction algorithm with a novel kernel function (MSN) because the reflectivity of the measured object and fluctuation of the light source affect the measurement accuracy. Third, a partition fitting (PF) strategy is proposed to reduce the fitting error and improve the measurement accuracy. Simulations and experiments reveal that the robustness, speed, and angular prediction accuracy of the system effectively improved as a function of MSN and PF. The developed sensor can measure the 2D tilt, where each tilt is a composition of two separate dimensions, and the mean prediction errors in the 2D plane from −10°–+10° are 0.0134° (0.067% full scale (F.S)) and 0.0142° (0.071% F.S). The sensor enables the optical probe of a traditional CM to obtain accurate and simultaneous estimates of the 2D inclination angle and spatial position coordinates of the measured surface. The proposed sensor has potential in 3D topographic reconstruction and dynamic sampling rate optimization for 3D contour detection.

The multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar imaging technology has attracted many scholars due to its many inherent advantages, such as avoiding complex motion compensation and imaging a quickly ...maneuvering target, compared to inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging. Although some imaging algorithms, such as the 2D fast iterative shrinkage thresholding algorithm (2D-FISTA), can meet the demand for super-resolution, they are not directly suited to MIMO radar imaging, for which the MIMO manifold needs to be considered. In this paper, based on the above questions, we propose the MIMO radar imaging algorithm, utilizing the sparsity of the scattering map in space and the MIMO array manifold, even achieving a good performance in the presence of MIMO channel error. The sparse reconstruction algorithm is developed with the alternative direction method of multipliers (ADMM) with the help of 2D-FISTA and the lp-norm. Then, two algorithms are derived: one is the exact sparse recovery algorithm, and the other is the inexact sparse recovery algorithm. Although the exact sparse recovery algorithm can converge to a more accurate precision than the inexact algorithm, the latter can converge at a faster speed. Finally, the results on simulation data validated the effectiveness of the algorithm.

A new sensor type is proposed to accurately detect the surface profiles of three-dimensional (3D) free-form surfaces. This sensor is based on the single-exposure, zero-crossing method and is used to ...measure position and angle simultaneously. First, the field intensity distribution in the posterior focal plane of the confocal microscope's objective was modeled accurately. Second, because the camera needs to trigger acquisition when the surface (to be measured) reaches the focal position of the sensor, a zero-crossing prediction method based on a sliding window was proposed. Third, a fast, spatially convergent, peak-extraction algorithm was proposed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of peak extraction. This scheme reduces system installation and adjustment difficulties, and the single-exposure, zero-crossing method achieves high-speed, real-time image acquisitions. The experimental results indicate that the average error of the zero-crossing prediction system was 17.63 nm, the average error of the tilt degree measurement was 0.011° in the range of 0-8°, and the prediction error of the tilt direction measurement was 0.089° in the range of 0-360°. The sensor can measure the slope and can be potentially used for 3D surface precision detection.

Nitrate-nitrogen (NO3−–N) removal and garden waste disposal are critical concerns in urban environmental protection. In this study, biochars were produced by pyrolyzing various garden waste ...materials, including grass clippings (GC), Rosa chinensis Jacq. branches (RC), Prunus persica branches (PP), Armeniaca vulgaris Lam. branches (AV), Morus alba Linn. sp. branches (MA), Platycladus orientalis (L.) Franco branches (PO), Pinus tabuliformis Carrière branches (PT), and Sophorajaponica Linn. branches (SL) at three different temperatures (300 °C, 500 °C, and 700 °C). These biochars, labeled as GC300, GC500, GC700, and so on., were then used to adsorb NO3−–N under various conditions, such as initial pH value, contact time, initial NO3−–N concentration, and biochar dosage. Kinetic data were analyzed by pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models. The equilibrium adsorption data were evaluated by Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich models. The results revealed that the biochar yields varied between 14.43% (PT700) and 47.09% (AV300) and were significantly influenced by the type of garden waste and decreased with increasing pyrolysis temperature, while the pH and ash content showed an opposite trend (p < 0.05). The efficiency of NO3−–N removal was significantly influenced by the type of feedstock, preparation process, and adsorption conditions. Higher pH values had a negative influence on NO3−–N adsorption, while longer contact time, higher initial concentration of NO3−–N, and increased biochar dosage positively affected NO3−–N adsorption. Most of the kinetic data were better fitted to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model (0.998 > R2 > 0.927). Positive b values obtained from the Temkin model indicated an exothermic process of NO3−–N adsorption. The Langmuir model provided better fits for more equilibrium adsorption data than the Freundlich model, with the maximum NO3−–N removal efficiency (62.11%) and adsorption capacity (1.339 mg·g−1) in PO700 under the conditions of pH = 2, biochar dosage = 50 mg·L−1, and a reaction time of 24 h. The outcomes of this study contribute valuable insights into garden waste disposal and NO3−–N removal from wastewater, providing a theoretical basis for sustainable environmental management practices.

Tuberculosis (Tuberculosis, TB) is a public health problem in China, which not only endangers the population's health but also affects economic and social development. It requires an accurate ...prediction analysis to help to make policymakers with early warning and provide effective precautionary measures. In this study, ARIMA, GM(1,1), and LSTM models were constructed and compared, respectively. The results showed that the LSTM was the optimal model, which can be achieved satisfactory performance for TB cases predictions in mainland China.
The data of tuberculosis cases in mainland China were extracted from the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China website. According to the TB data characteristics and the sample requirements, we created the ARIMA, GM(1,1), and LSTM models, which can make predictions for the prevalence trend of TB. The mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) were applied to evaluate the effects of model fitting predicting accuracy.
There were 3,021,995 tuberculosis cases in mainland China from January 2018 to December 2020. And the overall TB cases in mainland China take on a downtrend trend. We established ARIMA, GM(1,1), and LSTM models, respectively. The optimal ARIMA model is the ARIMA (0,1,0) × (0,1,0)12. The equation for GM(1,1) model was X(k+1) = -10057053.55e(-0.01k) + 10153178.55 the Mean square deviation ratio C value was 0.49, and the Small probability of error P was 0.94. LSTM model consists of an input layer, a hidden layer and an output layer, the parameters of epochs, learning rating are 60, 0.01, respectively. The MAE, RMSE, and MAPE values of LSTM model were smaller than that of GM(1,1) and ARIMA models.
Our findings showed that the LSTM model was the optimal model, which has a higher accuracy performance than that of ARIMA and GM (1,1) models. Its prediction results can act as a predictive tool for TB prevention measures in mainland China.

Soft robotic grippers offer great advantages over traditional rigid grippers with respect to grabbing objects with irregular or fragile shapes. Shape memory polymer composites are widely used as ...actuators and holding elements in soft robotic grippers owing to their finite strain, high specific strength, and high driving force. In this paper, a general 3D anisotropic thermomechanical model for woven fabric-reinforced shape memory polymer composites (SMPCs) is proposed based on Helmholtz free energy decomposition and the second law of thermodynamics. Furthermore, the rule of mixtures is modified to describe the stress distribution in the SMPCs, and stress concentration factors are introduced to account for the shearing interaction between the fabric and matrix and warp yarns and weft yarns. The developed model is implemented with a user material subroutine (UMAT) to simulate the shape memory behaivors of SMPCs. The good consistency between the simulation results and experimental validated the proposed model. Furthermore, a numerical investigation of the effects of yarn orientation on the shape memory behavior of the SMPC soft gripper was also performed.
