In this study, soybean protein isolate (SPI) and blueberry anthocyanins (BANs) complex (HPPM-SPI-BANs) treated by high power pulsed microwave (HPPM) was prepared, and its physicochemical properties ...and biological activity were evaluated. The effect of HPPM treatment on the functional properties and biological activity of SPI was studied. In addition, the effect of partial replacement of egg white protein by HPPM-SPI-BANs on the baking quality and storage properties of cake was evaluated. The results indicated that HPPM treatment significantly improved the solubility of HPPM-SPI-BANs by 2.11 folds, and improved the foaming and emulsifying properties (P < 0.05). The antioxidant activity was also significantly improved compared with SPI and SPI-BANs complex without HPPM treatment. Moreover, the addition of HPPM-SPI-BANs inhibited water loss during cake baking and improved the hardness and chewiness of cake. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and ferric reducing antioxidant power of cake with HPPM-SPI-BANs increased by 4.56 and 3.79 folds, respectively, and the aging rate constant k decreased to 0.12. Accordingly, HPPM-SPI-BANs plays an important role in improving the shelf life quality of cake.
Tumor necrosis factor-induced protein 1 (Tnfaip1), also known as B12, has been previously identified as a tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)-inducible protein and is involved in the cytokinesis ...signaling pathway, DNA synthesis, innate immunity, cell apoptosis, Alzheimer's disease (AD) and type 2 diabetic nephropathy. However, little is known regarding the expression of Tnfaip1 in various tissues or its accurate role in these physiological functions. The focus of this study was on Tnfaip1 expression in different tissues, with a high expression in mouse hippocampus being identified. The age- and gender-related expression of Tnfaip1 in hippocampus was also investigated. The distribution of Tnfaip1 was mapped using fluorescent immunostaining. Although immunoactivity was found in the CA1, CA3 and DG subregions of the hippocampus in E17.5 and P6 mice, strong staining was only detected in the CA3 subregion in adult mice. These data suggested that Tnfaip1 expression in hippocampus may be regulated by estrogen. Further study showed that the expression of Tnfaip1 in the hippocampus was significantly increased in ovariectomized mice compared to Sham mice. In cultured primary hippocampal cells, Tnfaip1 showed different expression levels in different treatments of estrogen or estrogen receptor antagonists. Additional experiments demonstrated the existence of a binding site of ERβ in the Tnfaip1 promoter region, and that ERβ was able to upregulate Tnfaip1 expression. Our study identified a new regulatory factor and a primary regulatory mechanism of Tnfaip1 expression in hippocampus. Since both hippocampus and estrogen are crucial in AD, the results also showed a potential association between Tnfaip1 and hippocampal-related diseases, such as AD, which may be affected by the estrogen level.
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have great potential for assisting heavy metal hyperaccumulators in the remediation of contaminated soils. However, little information is available about the ...symbiosis of AMF associated with an antimony (Sb) accumulator plant under natural conditions. Therefore, the objective of this study was to investigate the colonization and molecular diversity of AMF associated with the Sb accumulator ramie (Boehmeria nivea) growing in Sb-contaminated soils. Four Sb mine spoils and one adjacent reference area were selected from Xikuangshan in southern China. PCR-DGGE was used to analyze the AMF community composition in ramie roots. Morphological identification was also used to analyze the species in the rhizosphere soil of ramie. Results obtained showed that mycorrhizal symbiosis was established successfully even in the most heavily polluted sites. From the unpolluted site Ref to the highest polluted site T4, the spore numbers and AMF diversity increased at first and then decreased. Colonization increased consistently with the increasing Sb concentrations in the soil. A total of 14 species were identified by morphological analysis. From the total number of species, 4 (29%) belonged to Glomus, 2 (14%) belonged to Acaulospora, 2 (14%) belonged to Funneliformis, 1 (7%) belonged to Claroideoglomus, 1 (7%) belonged to Gigaspora, 1 (7%) belonged to Paraglomus, 1 (7%) belonging to Rhizophagus, 1 (7%) belonging to Sclervocystis, and 1 (7%) belonged to Scutellospora. Some AMF sequences were present even in the most polluted site. Morphological identification and phylogenetic analysis both revealed that most species were affiliated withGlomus, suggesting that Glomus was the dominant genus in this AMF community. This study demonstrated that ramie associated with AMF may have great potential for remediation of Sb-contaminated soils.
The reference intervals for serum cytokeratin-19 fragment (CYFRA 21-1) have not been established in Chinese population. This study aimed to measure serum CYFRA 21-1 levels in healthy Chinese ...subjects.
This cross-sectional, four-center study in two Chinese provinces enrolled participants (aged 18 - 85 years) with normal liver/kidney function and normal results for routine blood tests/urinalysis. Serum CYFRA 211 level was measured by ARCHITECT immunoassay (Abbott Diagnostics).
The study included 3,366 participants. The median (interquartile range) value for serum CYFRA 21-1 level was 1.38 (1.00 - 1.89) ng/mL and tended to increase with age. The upper limit of the 97.5th percentile was 3.55 ng/mL and tended to increase with age. Serum CYFRA 21-1 median level varied between the four centers from 1.22 (0.89, 1.71) to 1.55 (1.12, 2.18) ng/mL, while the 97.5th percentile varied from 3.24 to 4.09 ng/mL. CYFRA 21-1 level correlated weakly with age and creatinine level.
These new data can help to establish the 'normal range' of serum CYFRA 21-1 in people in China.
The complete deoxygenation of palmitic acid followed by simultaneous hydro-isomerization and appropriate hydrocracking were achieved over Co/HMCM-49 bi-functional catalysts with the special structure ...of 12 MR cups and a low Si/Al ratio. This offered new insights into the design of bi-functional catalysts for carbon rearrangements during the upgrading of palmitic acid to jet fuel range alkanes.

With the increasing diversification and complexity of network security attacks, it is becoming more and more difficult to predict the network situation. In order to improve the effect of situation ...prediction, this paper constructs a network security situation prediction model for a Improved Particle Swarm Optimization and Attention fusion Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (IPSO-ABiLSTM). First, there is no real situation value for the UNSW-NB15 data set, and a situation value is generated based on the impact of the attack. Secondly, the particle swarm algorithm is improved. The IPSO algorithm makes the algorithm's global and local search capabilities more balanced and faster to converge. Finally, optimizing the hyperparameters of the BiLSTM network fused with the attention mechanism to obtain the final model, and combined with PSO-BiLSTM network, PSO-LSTM network, BiLSTM model for performance comparison. The experimental results show that the IPSO-ABiLSTM in this paper has a fitting degree of up to 0.9922, and the error value is relatively smaller, which verifies the effectiveness of the model proposed in this paper in the network security situation prediction problem.
SARS-CoV-2 caused atypical pneumonia (COVID-19) is an ongoing pandemic that seriously threat the global public health. Many people die from this disease with severe symptoms. The most prevalent m6A ...RNA modification may be involved in by assisting the virus escaping from the host cell immune system attack. We provided here the first computational prediction study of RNA methylation sites in SARS-CoV-2. Based on virus sequence information, we predict the potential virus m6A sites and hope to make anyhow contributions to this unprecedented situation. As a result, we found 27 most frequent m6A sequences (41 bp) in SARS-CoV-2, and two of them are quite near to the spike protein stop codon position.
In this paper a novel hysteresis current control for active power filter (APF) is suggested which is based on optimal voltage vector and in the meantime with constant switching frequency. In the ...method the location region of the reference voltage vector is detected quickly by a set of hysteresis comparators through one try-and-error process. Two appropriate switches are then selected to control the corresponding two line-to-line currents independently with constant switching frequency. The new method has the advantages of fast allocation of reference voltage space vector, good current tracking accuracy, and constant switching frequency. Therefore, it is efficient and safe in operation. Computer simulation results show that the new current control method can improve APF performance noticeably.
