(1020) mesons is studied in Al+Al collisions at a beam energy of 1.9A GeV which is close to or below the production threshold in NN reactions. Inverse slopes, ...anisotropy parameters, and total emission yields of K
±
mesons are obtained. A comparison of the ratio of kinetic energy distributions of K
-
and K
+
mesons to the HSD transport model calculations suggests that the inclusion of the in-medium modifications of kaon properties is necessary to reproduce the ratio. The inverse slope and total yield of
mesons are deduced. The contribution to K
-
production from
meson decays is found to be
%. The results are in line with the previous K
±
and
data obtained for different colliding systems at similar incident beam energies.

We report on the development of a compact diode-end-pumped eye-safe (~1.54 µm) passively-cooled Er,Yb:glass laser. The design of this laser is facilitated by the use of a double-pass pumping scheme ...and a special ZrO2 diffuse reflector for a uniform pump distribution. In the free-running mode, this laser generates 8.2 mJ/3 ms pulses with a slope efficiency of 15%. Passive Q-switching is provided by saturable absorbers made of transparent glass-ceramics containing Co2+:γ-Ga2O3 or Co2+:MgAl2O4 nanocrystals with a spinel structure. In the latter case, 0.7 mJ/10.5 ns pulses are generated corresponding to >60 kW peak power and good beam quality (M2 = 1.4). The designed laser is suitable for portable range-finders.
The paper deals with issues related to determining the value of the thermal resistance of the fin-wall contact in heat exchangers. The description of the process of heat transfer between heat ...carriers and the main factors and the key parameters which determine the thermal resistance between the rib and the wall is presented. The experimental stand for thermal-hydraulic studies of the tube bundle model was developed. A technique for estimating the thermal resistance of a rib-wall contact on the basis of experimental studies is proposed. An estimation of possible sources of errors that should be taken into account when performing calculations is carried out.
This article is devoted to the evaluation of additional power losses that occur in an asynchronous traction motor operating from a frequency converter. An algorithm for calculating additional losses ...arising in electric-machine windings is proposed. The influence of pulse-width modulation parameters on the change in additional losses is studied. The influence of the number of elementary conductors along the slot height on additional losses is considered. The insignificant influence of additional core losses on the reduction in the asynchronous motor efficiency is shown.

Using Raman spectroscopy method, the attempt was made to quantify the SiO2 content in stuffed β-quartz derivative phases precipitated in lithium aluminosilicate glass-ceramics. The initial glasses ...were prepared by a conventional melt quenching technique, annealed and heat-treated in a temperature range of 660–850°C. The unit-cell parameters were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. In Raman spectra, the one-mode behavior of complex mixed crystals of a series of stuffed β-quartz derivative phases x(LiAl)(1−x)SiO2 was determined. It was demonstrated that the linear dependence of the frequency of the high-frequency Raman band with SiO2 content can be used for quantifying the SiO2 concentration in the crystalline phase with β-quartz structure. It was found that the linear dependence of the unit cell’s volume of β-quartz derivative phases on the SiO2 content can be used for quantifying the SiO2 content in the crystalline phase with β-quartz structure as well. The results obtained by both independent methods are in a good agreement.

The process of moisture extraction from unhusked Korean rice is modeled with the use of a diffusion model. The diffusion coefficient is determined, which makes it possible to reconstruct the dynamics ...of the moisture distribution in a cylindrical sack filled by rice. It is demonstrated that the results of calculations performed for different values of the initial humidity are in reasonable agreement with experimental data obtained in the case of drying of unhusked rice in an acousto-convective drier. Results testifying to significant intensification of acousto-convective drying as compared to natural drying are obtained.

The article describes the worked on numerical technique for forming alternative coalitions of experts relating to solving weakly formalized problems and the results of verification of the proposed ...method by the example of the studying the attributes of violators in the field of physical protection of critical information infrastructure objects. The proposed methodology for conducting preliminary examination on the basis of the worked on numerical method for identifying coalitions of experts allows to perform the procedure for forming an agreed group of experts and obtaining preliminary estimates of the significance of the attributes of a violator during a single survey of experts, that significantly saves time and reduces the complexity of the expertise of objects. Using the worked on numerical method, the main and two alternative coalitions were identified. Taking into account the alternative opinion of experts allowed 31 experts to be identified as agreed upon, which more precisely determines the results of the expertise.
Background
. The efficiency of breeding depends largely on the breeding method and the choice of the source material. Hybridization and mutagenesis, combined with selection, are the basic techniques ...in the development of promising breeding materials and adaptable cultivars of spring barley.
Object and methods
. The research was implemented in 2002–2019. The material for the research were 948 breeding lines (Federal Agricultural Science Center of the North-East, Kirov) developed through hybridization with cv. ‘Bios 1’, and 190 mutant samples (Vyatka State Agricultural Academy, Kirov) obtained as a result of treating barley seeds with sodium carbonate and irradiation with laser and far-red light in various combinations. The study was conducted in accordance with approved standard techniques.
Results and conclusions
. Various collection accessions and breeding lines were involved in crosses with cv. ‘Bios 1’. The lines were studied according to the full-scale scheme of the breeding process. As a result, only one breeding line, 52-15, having ‘Bios 1’ in its pedigree, was approved for testing in the competitive variety trial in 2019. These results attested to a low combination capacity of cv. ‘Bios 1’ and to the inefficiency of its further use in hybridization as a parent form. In Vyatka State Agricultural Academy, 190 mutant forms of barley were produced using ‘Bios 1’ as the initial form. According to the results of laboratory experiments and competitive variety trials, 5 mutant forms of barley were identified as promising. Spring barley samples, combining high yield with a set of traits valuable for breeding, were selected for further breeding work: breeding line 52-15, and mutant forms M 4-16-3, M 9-5-3 and M 11- 13 Kha. The new barley accession M 8-3-013, maturing 8 days earlier than the original cultivar, having a long (8.9 cm), wellgrained (24.3 grains) and productive (1.31 g) ear, is submitted for the State Variety Trials.
