Delineated by the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and drive-reduction theory, this paper proposes learning engagement and attitudes as promoting elements of face-to-face education under a perceived ...risk imposed by a global pandemic. The current research obtained data from international students studying in North Cyprus. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was utilized to analyze the data. The study's findings revealed that learning engagement and attitudes are significant promoters of face-to-face education during the pandemic. This work expands the crisis educational tourism literature while demonstrating Edu-tourists' insights. Finally, the present research findings lay the foundation for the theoretical contributions and suggest actionable, timely managerial implications for higher education institutions and Edu-tourist destinations.

Achieving global food security and ensuring sustainable agriculture, the dual objectives of the second Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 2), necessitate immediate and collaborative efforts from ...developing and developed nations. The adverse effects of ozone on crop yields have the potential to significantly undermine the United Nations' ambitious target of attaining food security and ending hunger by 2030. This review examines the causes of growing tropospheric ozone, especially in India and China which lead to a substantial reduction in crop yield and forest biomass. The findings show that a nexus of high population, rapid urbanization and regional pollution sources aggravates the problem in these countries. It elucidates that when plants are exposed to ozone, specific cellular pathways are triggered, resulting in changes in the expression of genes related to hormone production, antioxidant metabolism, respiration, and photosynthesis. Assessing the risks associated with ozone exposure involves using response functions that link exposure-based and flux-based measurements to variables like crop yield. Precisely quantifying the losses in yield and economic value in food crops due to current ozone levels is of utmost importance in comprehending the risks ozone poses to global food security. We conclude that policymakers should focus on implementing measures to decrease the emissions of ozone precursors, such as enhancing vehicle fuel efficiency standards and promoting the use of cleaner energy sources. Additionally, efforts should be directed toward mapping or developing crop varieties that can tolerate ozone, applying protective measures at critical stages of plant growth and establishing ozone-related vegetation protection standards.

The service activity aims to provide an understanding to the youth organization regarding the potential of mangrove ecosystems to be developed as Edu-Ecotourism in Tanjung Tiram Village, North Moramo ...District, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The method of implementing this service was carried out education, practice, and mentoring. A questionnaire and data analysis were carried out descriptively to evaluate the increase in understanding of youth organization. The results of this community service activity showed that the understanding of youth organizations in Tanjung Tiram village increased regarding the conservation of the mangrove ecosystem and its potential to be developed as an edu-ecotourism village and in practice-assistance activities, 11 types of mangrove ecosystem constituents were identified in Tanjung Tiram Village. With a good understanding of the community and the high diversity of mangroves, Tanjung Tiram Village could be developed into a mangrove Edu-Ecotourism Village.
We have recently developed a model of pancreatic islet transplantation into a decellularized pancreatic tail in rats. As the pancreatic skeletons completely lack endothelial cells, we investigated ...the effect of co-transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells and endothelial cells to promote revascularization.
Decellularized matrix of the pancreatic tail was prepared by perfusion with Triton X-100, sodium dodecyl sulfate and DNase solution. Isolated pancreatic islets were infused into the skeletons via the splenic vein either alone, together with adipose tissue–derived mesenchymal stem cells (adMSCs), or with a combination of adMSCs and rat endothelial cells (rat ECs). Repopulated skeletons were transplanted into the subcutaneous tissue and explanted 9 days later for histological examination. Possible immunomodulatory effects of rat adMSCs on the survival of highly immunogenic green protein–expressing human ECs were also tested after their transplantation beneath the renal capsule. The immunomodulatory effects of adMSCs were also tested in vitro using the Invitrogen Click-iT EdU system.
In the presence of adMSCs, the proliferation of splenocytes as a response to phytohaemagglutinin A was reduced by 47% (the stimulation index decreased from 1.7 to 0.9, P = 0.008) and the reaction to human ECs was reduced by 58% (the stimulation index decreased from 1.6 to 0.7, P = 0.03). Histological examination of the explanted skeletons seeded only with the islets showed their partial disintegration and only a rare presence of CD31-positive cells. However, skeletons seeded with a combination of islets and adMSCs showed preserved islet morphology and rich vascularity. In contrast, the addition of syngeneic rat ECs resulted in islet-cell necrosis with only few endothelial cells present. Live green fluorescence–positive endothelial cells transplanted either alone or with adMSCs were not detected beneath the renal capsule.
Though the adMSCs significantly reduced in vitro proliferation stimulated by either phytohaemagglutinin A or by xenogeneic human ECs, in vivo co-transplanted adMSCs did not suppress the post-transplant immune response to xenogeneic ECs. Even in the syngeneic model, ECs co-transplantation did not lead to sufficient vascularization in the transplant area. In contrast, islet co-transplantation together with adMSCs successfully promoted the revascularization of extracellular matrix in the subcutaneous tissue.

Design/Methodology/Approaches: This service activity is carried out using a mixed method or mix methods. Explains that mixed methods research is a research method that collects, analyzes and integrates both quantitative and qualitative research approaches.
Findings: This research shows a form of community empowerment, especially for people in Kebun Bunga who run a waste management program through the Edu-Environment application. This activity includes training and utilization of unused goods into items of sale value and can be utilized by the local community.
Research, Practical & Social Implications: In this study, the community can feel the benefits of having an edu-environment application to be able to manage waste and be able to make advantage of the information provided in the application and it is hoped that the community can use and apply it in their daily lives.
Implications/Originality/Values: For this study the implications that can be accepted by the community are being able to take advantage of the facilities of this edi-environment application to be able to obtain information about waste cleanliness and manage waste into goods with economic selling value.
This study intends to increase students' digital literacy abilities through the implementation of Smart Edu learning media in plant breeding material. This is a research and development project. Peer ...reviewers, material specialists, media experts, and student trials are used to evaluate products. Digital literacy and media assessment questionnaires were used to gather research data. The investigation's findings are: 1) According to scientific phases, the Android-based Smart Edu learning media was created, and its features include an eye-catching visualization display, ease of use, and content that aligns with the goals of plant growth and development; 2) according to material expert tests, android-based smart edu learning media on plant growth and development material that has been developed is suitable for use in learning when viewed from the perspective of content assessment or the learning material's contents, which are included in the very good category; 3) learning with android-based smart edu media has significantly improved digital literacy when compared to conventional learning. The development and application of Android-based smart educational learning materials demonstrate that their use is both practical and efficient in enhancing students' digital literacy. Further study should be done to create iOS and Android-based applications as well
The trend towards seeing education as a commodity and part of a global industry has transformed the field of education. We argue that these transformations are reducing the autonomy of the field of ...education as it has incorporated business rhetoric, logic and practice. We examine this through an analysis of discursive formations manifested in two major international edu-business events in Finland – Dare to Learn and XcitED. The performativity existing in these events, combining actions and interactions, objective and subjective elements and materialized and symbolic interests and outcomes, enables convergences between business and education. In Finland, where education is overwhelmingly public, there is a subtle marketization, increasingly integrating business rationales and attitudes in education. We employed event ethnography and discourse analysis to examine points of diffraction between education and business. A transversal movement between the field of education and the field of business is enabled by symbolic power. Dare to Learn and XcitED discursive formations reveal the penetration of business in education, which reframes the field of education and fosters the global education industry in Finland and abroad, challenging notions and practices of democracy and citizenship in education.

This review paper explains the rising interest of thermoelectric technology and applications. Nowadays, thermoelectric technology such as thermoelectric generators (TEGs) and thermoelectric cooling systems (TECs) provide heat loss recovery of thermodynamic units for power production of remote areas. Unlimited solar energy can also be employed for thermoelectric power production. This paper describes the principles of thermoelectricity and presents an explanation of current and upcoming materials. Developed models and various performed optimization of thermoelectric applications by using non-equilibrium thermodynamics and finite time thermodynamics are discussed as well. Additionally, a number of topical applications and energy resources are introduced. The main goal of this study is to give a clear overview of thermoelectric technology and applications.

Dari hasil survei tim PHP2D UKM ...Literasi, di Desa Oluhuta terdapat banyak sekali fosil kerang di sekitaran pantai Oluhuta yang bisa dikreasikan menjadi sebuah geo produk. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini yakni untuk menjelaskan serta menguraikan proses pembuatan geo produk khas desa Oluhuta yang diberi nama ‘Makrame Oluhuta’ serta tahapan yang dilakukan dalam memperkenalkan geo produk tersebut pada masyarakat setempat. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa Makrame Oluhuta yang diproduksi masyarakat setempat mempunyai nilai jual dan daya tarik yang tinggi, dan mampu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat setempat dari hasil penjualannya, serta menjadi salah satu instrumen pendukung bagi Desa Oluhuta untuk menjadi desa edu-geowisata.
