This paper unveils the Trotskyist-Lambertist cell formation in Yugoslavia and the key role played by Yugoslav Trotskyists. It establishes their pre-1972 existence and active involvement in the ...actions leading to the 1972 conviction of three Belgrade students. This pioneering historiographical research sheds new light on post-1968 Belgrade student movement dynamics. Beyond uncovering hitherto unnoticed resistance to the communist regime, this study argues for social history approach, emphasizing activist perspectives, and innovative sources drawn from French archives, private collections, and oral history. The findings offer a nuanced comprehension of the regime’s repression tactics.
Významnou část přepravních a skladovacích nádob tvořily v neolitu nádoby z organických materiálů. Používaly se k vytahování vody z jam nebo studní, zatímco keramické nádoby byly používány k přepravě, ...skladování a pití vody. Cílem tohoto článku je analýza a vyhodnocení unikátních dřevěných věder ze studny LBK v lokalitě Mohelnice – U Cukrovaru. Konstrukce věder se skládala z podélně dělených prutů se zářezy. Vrstva lýka tvořila stěnu vědra a konce rozštípnutých prutů se pak k sobě svázaly provázky. Textilně-technologický rozbor určil jako použitou surovinu s největší pravděpodobností lýko. Xylotomická analýza určila jako zdroj dřevo několika listnatých stromů. Obdobné nádoby byly nalezeny v několika studnách v Evropě, zejména v Sasku. Lze předpokládat, že organické nádoby tvořily standardní součást výbavy neolitické domácnosti.
Skleněné číše s choboty, prakticky nepoužitelné, tvoří nečetnou skupinu mezi nálezy skla ve střední Evropě 15.–17. století. Tento příspěvek je věnován zejména novým nálezům ze sídlištních lokalit v ...České republice. Analýza chemického složení skel číší s choboty ukazuje na shodu některých exemplářů se složením skla vyráběného v českých sklárnách, složení skla dalších číší odpovídá okruhu skláren v Tyrolsku nebo severních Alpách a produkci skláren v západní části Německa.

Med letoma 1919 in 1939, ko je imel Kaunas status začasne prestolnice Litve, sta krojila arhitekturni značaj njegovega urbanega okolja procesa, ključna za tisti čas – modernizacija in napredek. V ...dvajsetih letih 20. stoletja je v hitro rastoči prestolnici vladalo veliko pomanjkanje stanovanj, zato so bile stanovanjske stavbe pomemben del gradbene dejavnosti in mestnega programa modernizacije skozi celotno medvojno obdobje. Med dokumente, ki so vplivali na koncept bivalnega okolja, spada urbanistični načrt za Kaunas, ki sta ga leta 1923 zasno- vala danski inženir in urbanist Marius Frandsen in litovski arhitekt Antanas Jokimas. Projekt je predvidel razdelitev mesta na različne funkcionalne cone. Eno teh območij – rezidenčni Žaliakalnis – priča, da so bile med najpomembnejšimi urbanističnimi pobudami v ozadju projekta eksperimentalne zamisli Ebenezerja Howarda o vrtnem mestu. Članek s pomočjo zgodovinskih virov preučuje, kako so Litovci poskušali posvojiti to idejo. S primerjavo teoretičnih prizadevanj in praktičnih aplikacij eksperimenta vrtnega mesta članek dokazuje, da spada Kaunas med mesta, v katerih je univerzalni koncept zelenih predmestij našel plodna tla.
Strategie podpory udržitelného vývoje železniční nákladní dopravy je všeobecně známa, široce podporována a podrobně popsána v Bílé knize EK z března 2011. I přes pokračující investice a postupný ...rozvoj se železniční nákladní doprava ve střední Evropě potýká s řadou významných omezujících faktorů. Výzkumným záměrem tohoto příspěvku je s použitím analýzy dostupných zdrojů informací, poukázat na faktory omezující růst výkonnosti železniční nákladní přepravy a identifikovat oblasti pro možná zlepšení. Nástrojem použitým k hodnocení výkonnosti železničních nákladních dopravců v regionu střední Evropy je metoda benchmarkingu. Příspěvek poukazuje na přetrvávající rozdíly ve výkonnosti železničních nákladních dopravců působících ve střední Evropě.

Fascists presents a theory of fascism based on intensive analysis of the men and women who became fascists. It covers the six European countries in which fascism became most dominant - Italy, ...Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Spain. It is a comprehensive analysis of who fascists actually were, what beliefs they held and what actions they committed. The book suggests that fascism was essentially a product of post World War I conditions in Europe and is unlikely to re-appear in its classic garb in the future. Nonetheless, elements of its ideology remain relevant to modern conditions and are now re-appearing, though mainly in different parts of the world.
The volume Historični seminar 14 ('Historical Seminar 14'), issued in the time of transformed reality of what we knew and took for granted, draws attention to the fact that the image we cultivate of ...ourselves and our history may sometimes be too simplified to be entirely real. At first, the volume both revises already known chapters of Church history and introduces hitherto unknown ones. Simon Malmenvall’s analysis of the characters of the noble martyrs Boris and Gleb, Jovan Vladimir, and Magnus Erlendsson shows how the stories of their martyrdom had a nation-building function. Celeste McNamara’s article on Giovanni Barbarigo introduces the unusual and less well-known topic of seventeenth-century missions. Monika Deželak Trojar analyzes in detail Johann Ludwig Schönleben’s German and Latin Lenten sermons. Aleš Maver’s article discusses why Latin disappeared so quickly from Slovenian churches after the Second Vatican Council. On the other hand, the pre-modern religious practices of nature worshippers in Slovenia are discussed by Cirila Toplak. Modern times and also more political issues are examined by Tomaž Ivešić who focuses on the increase in ethnic tensions in Yugoslavia in the early 1970s, while Aleksandar Takovski traces the historical representation of heroic figures in four former Yugoslav countries.
This book is first and foremost a history of ruling-class diplomacy, but other factors are not ignored: the Bolsheviks, the Turks, and the insurgencies in Europe. This book provides detailed ...narrative and cogent analysis of the all that happened in Paris in 1919 and all that came out of it, with the aftermath of the peace process and the difficulty of avoiding war for twenty years. This book falls into two parts. Part 1 shows how the peacemakers and their successors dealt with the problems of a shattered Europe. The war had fundamentally altered both the internal structures of many of the European states and transformed the traditional order. The book shows that the management of the European state system in the decade after 1919, while in some ways resembling that of the past, assumed a shape that distinguished it both from the pre-war decades and the post-1933 period. Part II covers the ‘hinge years’ 1929 to 1933. These were the years in which many of the experiments in internationalism came to be tested and their weakness revealed. Many of the difficulties stemmed from the enveloping economic depression. The way was open to the movements towards étatism, autarcy, virulent nationalism, and expansionism which characterized the post-1933 European scene. The events of these years were critical to both Hitler's challenge to the European status quo and the reactions of the European statesmen to his assault on what remained of an international system.
