This research aimed to develop a digital platform that efficiently utilizes co-learning experiences between consumers and producers and to foster the preservation of local handicrafts in a manner ...that is both sustainable and economically feasible. This platform combines the co-design method with Kolb's experiential learning model, with a specific emphasis on improving the self-design process of local handicrafts. The research and development (R&D) methodology involves a systematic approach to addressing stakeholder needs through feedback and iteration, ensuring the final system is tailored to their specific objectives. The evaluation of the platform indicates that participants were highly satisfied with its performance. The platform facilitates extensive opportunities for collaborative participation and the exchange of knowledge, allowing participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in handicraft design. This research contributes to combining a virtual environment with a co-design process and Kolb's experiential learning model. The research contributes to the possibility of expansion of local crafts and the preservation of traditional workmanship, which can be achieved through collaboration between local artisans and global consumers. Encouraging consumer involvement in collaborating with the handicraft community has the potential to provide new product designs for markets, thereby boosting economies.
The inheritance of traditional handicraft of intangible cultural heritage is facing an unprecedented crisis. The essence of inheritance is the process of imparting and inheriting from master to ...apprentice, but there is acute shortage of research about the parties, the relationship and the behavior of inheritance. Therefore, choosing inherited behavior as a starting point to explore the inner formation mechanism of master and apprentice inheritance in traditional handicraft, as well as determining the influencing factors of the inheritance, have important theoretical value and practical significance for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. Using 4 traditional handicraft inheritance institutions in China as case objects, 37 inheritance parties and 21 mentoring matching groups were interviewed. Through standard case analysis and three-step coding method of grounded theory, it is found that skill generation involves the stages of inquiry, interaction and feedback, as well as the following steps:cognition of skill generation, coupling of skill generation, automation of skill generation, etc. Through coding, 12 categories and 33 specific influencing factors are identified. Among them, individual factors influence interaction relation, and the interaction relation has a concrete influence on the process of inheritance, affecting the ultimate effect of inheritance. This study is of reference value for improving the relationship between masters and apprentices and promoting the effective inheritance of traditional handicraft.

Findings: The results showed that in phase 5 (Production Ramp Up) workers were able to produce new products from hyacinth raw materials and wood waste with a variety of innovations.

Not only detailed morning glory knitting illustrations, but also flower baskets that were used for wakes following the customs of Meiji-era Japan were included in this book. After yarn dyeing was invented in 1888, it became possible to freely create original and innovative knitted artificial flowers. They became popular to the extent that the yarn sold out. Some people even registered their designs. The spread of knitted artificial flowers exerted significant influence. The exploration extends beyond knitting textbooks to encompass job guides and magazines with a focus on the spread of knitted artificial flowers, the evolution of women's independence in various occupations, and an examinations of the surrounding culture, including comparisons with traditional Japanese artificial flowers. This is a brief history of woven artificial flowers in Japan.
The handicraft sector is one of the sectors whose sales have increased rapidly in Indonesia. The problem, however, is the unpreparedness of craft SMEs in applying information technology in their ...sales activities. In addition, there are also problems in understanding the ability of UKM entrepreneurship on the characteristics of online sales. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship and information technology on the quality of e-Services and their impact on customer value in craft SMEs in Indonesia. The results of the study show that there is an influence of entrepreneurship and information technology on the quality of online services and their impact on customer value. Entrepreneurship does not have a direct effect on online service quality and customer value but the entrepreneurship variable has a significant effect on customer value through the quality of e-Services and the quality of e-Services becomes the intervening variable in this study.
Suxiu, "Suzhou embroidery," is one of the major styles of traditional Chinese embroidery. In 2006, Suxiu was listed as the National Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of China. Although the official ...media highlight the glory of Suxiu and its cultural significance as ICH, the industry has encountered great difficulties and challenges for the last 20 years. This paper explores the predicament of Suxiu and the far-reaching impacts of the China's ICH policies on the embroidery industry. It argues that the state policies fail to provide community members with equal participatory opportunities in the heritage industry. Instead, it creates intragroup hierarchy and classification, favoring certain members while excluding others. More specifically, it examines local embroiderers' different attitudes and reactions toward the ICH system, thus illustrating how the top-down policies affect the sociocultural process of recognition. It aims to offer a critical reflection on how China's industrialization and ICH policies have transformed the nation's handicraft industry.
