Oceanic internal waves (IWs) at frequencies from local inertial (e.g., near-inertial internal waves) to buoyancy frequencies (nonlinear internal waves or internal solitary waves), sometimes including ...diurnal and semidiurnal tidal frequencies, play an important role in redistributing heat, momentum, materials, and energy via turbulent mixing. IWs are found ubiquitously in many seas, including East Asian marginal seas (Indonesian Seas, South China Sea, East China Sea, Yellow Sea, and East Sea or Japan Sea), significantly affecting underwater acoustics, coastal and offshore engineering, submarine navigation, biological productivity, and the local and global climate. Despite decades of study on the IWs in some regions, our understanding of the IWs in the East Asian marginal seas is still in a primitive state and the mechanisms underlying every stage (generation, propagation, evolution, and dissipation) of IWs are not always clear. This Special Issue includes papers related to all fields of both low- and high-frequency IW studies in the specified region, including remote sensing, in situ observations, theories, and numerical models.
KRI maintenance is carried out at three separate levels based on the resources and capabilities required to carry out maintenance: Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot Levels. Therefore, a ...solution strategy and maintenance mechanism is needed to deal with these obstacles. This study aims to provide an analysis of determining the depot-level maintenance in order to support the readiness of the marine Operations Command I. This research uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and TOPSIS method approaches. Based on the results of the study, the Criteria for selecting the Security Level showed that these criteria had the highest weight of 0.181 with a consistency ratio (CR) of 0.093. Then the Criteria for the Use of Technology has a weight of 0.158 as the second criteria. Criteria Cost as the third criterion with a weight of 0.131. While the Operational Time Criteria has a weight of 0.061 as the criteria with the lowest weight.
Lean manufacturing (LM) has been recognised as an inclusive management style which enhances organisational performance by adding value to the manufacturing processes through eliminating wastes, time ...and efforts. Many SMEs globally, implement or are willing to embrace lean programmes to survive in the current competitive environment. Lean is a powerful management approach that is driven by a set of critical enablers. The main task of the lean leaders is to deeply understand the relationship between these enablers to generate business advantage. This study investigates a contextual relationship among lean enablers in SMEs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI-SMEs) by applying Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) techniques. The enablers derived from previous studies formed a basis for semi-structured interviews conducted with nine business managers in KRI-SMEs. In conclusion, the study provides a structural model of lean enablers that should support business practices within SMEs.

. Accessed 5 Dec 2019) introduced Quality Tolerance Limits (QTLs) to the industry, and in doing so, modernized quality control for clinical trials. QTLs provide measured feedback on clinical trial parameters previously only used by statistical and clinical functions to track trial progress toward endpoints. Elevating these measures as part of the Quality Management System (QMS) provides greater visibility across clinical trial functions and the enterprise as well as to measures that are important indicators of the state of participant protection and reliability of trial results. In support of this new requirement, TransCelerate developed a framework to guide industry sponsors and their agents in implementing QTLs. This QTL Framework is intended to aid industry’s ability to improve the quality of clinical research through the implementation of QTLs in a way that helps protect trial participants and reliability of trial results while meeting Health Authority (HA) expectations. The framework is intended to maximize efficiency and minimize confusion in the implementation of QTLs. The framework includes proposed approaches for implementation of QTLs for a clinical trial as defined in Section 5.0.4 and 5.0.7 of ICH E6(R2) (International Council for Harmonisation (ICH). ICH harmonised guideline: integrated addendum to ICH E6(R1): guideline for good clinical practice E6(R2). 2016.

During 1999 and 2001 re-excavations in Križna jama were carried out, which brought crucial results concerning the taxonomical and stratigraphical position of the fossil taphocoenosis, especially of ...cave bears, and on their ethology. Moreover new data on the hydrological structure of the cave as well as on its sedimentology were published. A substantial part of this volume is dedicated to the extant fauna of this cave, which is extraordinary rich in species.
The vast maritime territory of Indonesia, rich in natural resources, has attracted interest from various parties, both domestic and international, to exploit its potential, even if it means violating ...established regulations at the national and international levels. One of the maritime areas facing complex challenges, considering the numerous legal violations and threats to the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), is the North Natuna Sea. The objective of this research is to analyze the operational patterns and preparations patterns of the Indonesian Navy Vessels (KRI) for deterrence strategies in supporting the national defense system. This study employs a qualitative method, utilizing interviews as a research instrument, supported by literature reviews, including books and other written references related to the research object. The results of this research indicate that the deterrence strategy has not been optimally implemented. This is due to various encountered challenges in the efforts made, highlighting the need for evaluation and improvement of both operational and preparedness patterns of KRI. This is essential to ensure that the deterrence strategy in the North Natuna Sea region, supporting the national defense system, can be carried out effectively and efficiently.
The banking industry is one of the most important industries in developing countries, thus it plays a major role in the financial industry. Moreover, e-banking has simplified financial transactions. ...This study investigates the effect of individual factors on user behaviour and the moderating effect of attitude on the relationship between individual factors and user behaviour based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology. A model suggests a second-order components research framework that improves current explanations of electronic banking channel services acceptance and sheds light on the role of attitude on the acceptance of electronic banking channel services which is the most important key concern. Data were collected using an online questionnaire with 476 valid responses from academic staff who work at the University of Sulaimani; the model has been tested using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling approach. The results show that individual factors have a positive effect on user behaviour and also show that attitude has a negative effect on the relationship between individual factors and user behaviour as a moderator.
Clinical risk includes any undesirable situation or operational factor that may have negative consequences for patient safety or capable of causing an adverse event (AE). The AE, intentional or ...unintentionally, may be related to the human factor, that is, medical errors (MEs). Therefore, the importance of the health-care risk management is a current and relevant issue on the agenda of many public and private institutions. The objective of the management has been evolving from the identification of AE to the assessment of cost-effective and efficient measures that improve the quality control through monitoring. Consequently, the goal of this paper is to propose a Key Risk Indicator (KRI) that enhances the advancement of the health-care management system. Thus, the application of the Value at Risk (VaR) concept in combination to the Loss Distribution Approach (LDA) is proved to be a proactive tool, within the frame of balanced scorecard (BSC), in health organizations. For this purpose, the historical events recorded in the Algo-OpData
database (Algorithmics Inc., Toronto, ON, Canada, IBM, Armonk, NY, USA) have been used. The analysis highlights the importance of risk in the financials outcomes of the sector. The results of paper show the usefulness of the Clinical-VaR to identify and monitor the risk and sustainability of the implemented controls.
